Shiayar grumbled to himself. With a subtle shift in his thoughts, he once again shut Snakey, who was about to protest, back into the little dark room.

Although the rcury Serpent spoke vaguely—clearly an uncultured lout who didn’t understand the principles of investigating things to acquire knowledge—Shiayar still grasped the gist of its aning.

It could restart the state of a certain area or events occurring within it. This wasn’t considered reversing ti, however; rather, it was akin to overriding the current state with a previously saved file. In most cases, its effect wasn’t much different from that of the Carmine King.

Of course, the reason Shiayar chose to make this deal with the rcury Serpent was that these two Skills were only incidental.

The real purpose—

Was for his own teacher.

Thinking this, the ethereal azure screen in Shiayar’s mind changed according to his will.

[You have received a new historical anchor from the Fabled Species "rcury Serpent."]

[A new Echo of History has been triggered.]

[Ti Coordinate: The First Era.]

The First Era...

Shiayar’s gaze flickered slightly.

The Black Tower, Wizards, and even the birth of Arcane Arts and Magic.

The truth behind the opening of the Abyss.

The divine war at the end of the First Era.

And the reason his Golden Elf Instructor was trapped and exiled in the Dinsional Void.

Since the dawn of ti, all clues had pointed to that earliest Era in recorded history.

Teacher has always been reluctant to discuss this with , probably because of the great difficulty involved, not wanting to risk it, Shiayar thought, his lips curving into a slight smile.

But, Teacher, you might have gotten sothing wrong.

I’ve always been quite a greedy person...

When I said I wanted to beco ’the male lead who would move your heart,’ it wasn’t rely playful flirting, but a serious declaration.

If, in a dating ga, all other heroines’ routes had reached their perfect endings, yet only that beloved ntor remained trapped in the depths of the Astral Realm, able to glimpse the light of the mortal world but for a fleeting mont...

Then you, I, and even the readers would feel regret over such an outco.

So from beginning to end, I have genuinely been striving for this.

For... our happy ending together.

Shiayar stood up and gently touched the soft, smooth, light-golden hair of the young girl beside him.

"I’ll be going into seclusion to prepare for a few days."

"Seclusion to prepare?"

Enola looked at Shiayar with slight confusion. Then, due to the close rapport between them, she effortlessly discerned Shiayar’s thoughts.

"An Echo of History?"

"Yes."

Shiayar cleared away their cups and plates. He didn’t try to hide anything from her. More than a decade together had already proven that any attempt at prevarication was aningless before this childhood friend who knew him inside out. The value of ’Intuition EX.’

"A new Echo of History..." The blonde girl’s voice paused for a mont, her sky-blue eyes fixed on Shiayar. "Because of Teacher?"

Even though Enola herself possessed little talent in the Arcane Arts, Hathaway had never forbidden Shiayar from imparting the knowledge of the Black Tower to her. And even though Enola usually wasn’t fond of using her brain, Shiayar had cramd knowledge about the world and its fundantals into her, elevating her understanding far beyond the standards of the Western Continent’s inhabitants. After all, she was the beautiful young girl he had raised by his side day in and day out. Naturally, Shiayar wanted to mold her into the most perfect form. He couldn’t have her falling behind, not even when it ca to his occasional transmigrator’s way of thinking.

For this very reason, the Golden Elf could also be considered Enola’s teacher. It was just that Ennie hadn’t always addressed her as such; she only changed her way of speaking after she started living in the Garden of Eden with Shiayar. As for why she changed, only Heaven knew.

Enola thought for a mont. "Has your previous speculation about Teacher’s current situation co true?"

In the Garden of Eden, Shiayar had twice detailed to her the full process of an Echo of History, including his speculations about Hathaway.

"Yes." Shiayar nodded. "It was only speculation before, but now I’m certain."

In that instant, the blonde girl understood Shiayar’s intentions. She didn’t object, because Enola knew very well the Golden Elf’s place in Shiayar’s heart. Without Hathaway, Shiayar wouldn’t be who he was today. This wasn’t just true for Shiayar, but for her as well.

She spoke softly, "Can Empress Isadella and I help you?"

"I’m not sure, but it will probably be quite difficult." Shiayar finished washing the dishes and glassware. "Escarnia existed a thousand years ago. Both the Sacred Sword and Sacred Spear left traces in that era as anchors, which sheltered you as you traveled through ti. Even so, ti travel is barely manageable and is affected by the Power of Historical Correction."

"But this ti, it’s in the First Era. The Sacred Sword and Sacred Spear don’t seem to have appeared in that period. Moreover, the ti span is much greater. If you try to force your way in, the risk is high, and you could easily beco lost in the temporal turbulence."

"I certainly don’t want to go through an experience like Empress Isadella being trapped in the Imaginary Zone again."

"This ti, I plan to try it on my own first. Afterward, I’ll see if there’s anything you can help with."

Shiayar then patted the blonde girl’s head again. This had beco a cherished habit; he diligently patted her head every day to increase her affection. Even though Ennie’s affection for him was already maxed out, perhaps if he could break the ter, a whole new array of benefits and positions could be unlocked? Waiting, and harboring expectations.

Upon hearing Shiayar’s words, Enola didn’t say much. She rely fell silent, extending her fair hand to forcefully pinch the soft flesh of her inner thigh.

Originally, with the complete unsealing of the Sacred Spear and the resolution of the Empire’s internal strife, this peaceful daily life had allowed Enola’s mind to relax sowhat. But now it seed she was still far from adequate.

She was Shiayar’s sharpest sword, his sturdiest shield. But now, faced with what Shiayar was about to do, she was completely helpless, able to do nothing but stand by and watch. This feeling of powerlessness... Enola found it utterly unacceptable.
