At last, it transford into a blurred Wheel of Silver.
Unlike the Wheels of Destiny that could be casually conjured and easily spun for observation on the Angel Family descendants, this black-haired youth’s Wheel of Destiny was incredibly faint. Even when It exerted Its full Authority, It could only perceive an extrely incomplete and hazy sliver. The more distant a destiny was from the current ti, the harder it was to observe. Yet now, despite Its full effort, the Wheel of Destiny had barely rotated at all. This degree of rotation, compared to a human lifespan of decades, represented a destiny from re tens of minutes prior—not even an hour into the past.
Who is he?
The tiny rcury snake finally noticed sothing amiss.
However, imdiately following this realization, the illusory scene that converged upon the Wheel of Destiny made It freeze in place. This was the trajectory of fate inscribed on the black-haired youth’s Wheel of Destiny from tens of minutes ago; it could also be understood as the true events that had transpired just half an hour prior.
...
Reflected on the illusory Wheel of Destiny was a silent night sky. It depicted a space nestled in the seam between the Astral Realm and the Main Material Plane. This location was outside the Main Material Plane but had not truly entered the vast, boundless Astral Realm. It could also be called the "Outside of the World." Many powerhouses of Legendary Rank and above chose this place as their battlefield to prevent the aftershocks of their battles from affecting the mortal realm.
And at this mont, within this "Outside of the World," several phantoms of Fabled Creatures were standing tall, so twisted, so nacing, others calm yet oppressive. There was a blurred figure crucified on the Bronze Crucifix, a demon wolf whose fur was bathed in twilight’s glow, and also shadowy figures that kept changing, their true forms obscured.
The tiny rcury snake’s pale yellow pupils contracted.
It recognized these phantoms of Fabled Creatures—Twilight, Oathbreaker, Faceless Figure... These were the very Abyssal asure Evil Gods ntioned in the Wheels of Destiny of those Angel Family descendants It had read before, the ones said to be performing a Godly Descent ritual.
It seed that They had indeed already completed Their Godly Descent. And judging by the extent of Their Godly Descent, although They were not complete Godly Descent’s Bodies, They were all incarnations at the peak of Legendary Rank, or even approaching Demigod status. Especially the demon wolf nad Twilight. It seed part of Its Divinity and Authority had been usurped previously. Though only half of It descended this ti, It appeared to have gambled everything. That was a divine body born from a Legendary-rank church leader serving as a one-ti vessel, infused with an imnse Power of Faith; it had truly reached the Rank of Demigod.
However—above the starry sky, opposite the several Fabled Creatures, stood only one person.
A figure with black hair and black eyes, clad in a black robe, holding a crimson magic staff.
Gazing at the crimson magic staff, distant mories from several Eras past surfaced in the tiny rcury snake’s mind.
The Black Tower.
Wielders of magic staves.
Wizards.
Those were truly unpleasant mories.
Could this black-haired youth actually be a spellcaster, a Wizard from the Black Tower?
It refocused Its attention, its gaze returning to the illusory scene on the Wheel of Destiny.
"Although from an efficiency standpoint, using a Nuclear Explosion would be the most labor-saving way to deal with you all," the black-haired, black-eyed youth in the scene, high among the stars, said with a slight shake of his head. "But Silver has only just advanced, and Crimson has been clamoring for so real combat experience. After all, I’ve kept them cooped up for ten years. I should at least satisfy my Pet Beasts’ small requests... There’s a saying: ’If you don’t tire out the marten during the day, the marten will tire you out at night.’ Besides, it’s a good chance to test the power of the newly developed Pet Beast combination technique."
While speaking, he gently rested his hand on the crimson magic staff.
A Wizard from the Black Tower... Is he about to cast a forbidden spell? But for a forbidden spell cast via a magic staff to be effective against Godly Descent’s Bodies at the Demigod level...
Yet, such a thought had barely arisen when, in the next mont, the tiny rcury snake’s pale yellow pupils froze solid.
Because imdiately afterward, the wooden staff, which resembled a magic staff, suddenly shattered, revealing the blade within—shining like silver, yet wreathed in black flas.
"This combination technique of Silver and Crimson..." the black-haired youth looked at the long blade in his hand and couldn’t help but chuckle teasingly. "Let’s call it—’Flowing Blade Like Fire’."
Then—he swung the blade and slashed.
"All things in the universe, reduced to Ashes."
...
BOOM—
The silvery, incomplete Wheel of Destiny shattered, and the illusory light screen vanished along with it. Even when Its Authority to observe destiny was fully exerted on the youth, It could only trace back a sliver of his fate, less than an hour into the past.
Yet, even this was enough.
The final image on the light screen was of black flas incinerating the entire sky, and, beneath that Slash, the nurous Godly Descent’s Bodies of the Evil Gods disintegrating into Ashes.
Thus, in that instant, It understood. It understood why those Evil Gods, despite launching their Godly Descent with such fanfare and attempting to overthrow the entire Empire Capital—the city now remained unhard and peaceful. It also understood why, with Its Authority to observe destiny, It could only perceive an incomplete fragnt of the youth’s Wheel of Destiny.
It wasn’t at all because the youth was so fortunate soul who happened to obtain an ancient Sacred Relic from the First Era. It was because this... *thing*... was an out-and-out monster.
And Itself—having just been reborn and still utterly powerless—had fallen right under this monster’s nose.
Destiny, you’ve led astray!
"Oh? The Authority to read others’ destinies? Quite sothing. A practitioner of mysticism and prophecy, I see," an amiable voice sounded beside Its ear. "Moreover, you don’t seem quite like those deranged Evil Gods I just slaughtered—the ones who looked like they wanted to kill my entire family the mont they saw . You appear rather lucid. So, shall we have an in-depth discussion?"
The black-haired, black-eyed youth had, at so unknown point, appeared silently behind the tiny rcury snake. He was reaching out, a friendly expression on his face, gently stroking its serpentine head.
The bodies of Fabled Creatures had long since been exempt from processes like tabolism. They only possessed functions for ingestion and excretion when consuming or expelling extraordinary traits or Divine Authority. Furthermore, snakes, being cold-blooded creatures, fundantally lacked organs such as sweat glands. Yet, at this very mont, the tiny rcury snake distinctly felt a drop of cold sweat trickle down its forehead.
It swallowed hard. "Just kill ."
