After her vacation, Sheng Tang quickly received a notification from the "White Snake" production team, sending her the complete script.
"Director Fei Muzhi." Sheng Tang glanced at the personnel introduction. Fei Muzhi was a director at Guanghong dia, the one Ke Fei recomnded to Sheng Tang.
Liu Taofang and Cai Xiangsheng carefully selected and eventually felt that Fei Muzhi had comndable overall qualities, so they hired him.
However, the project was in the hands of Huatai Film and Television, and Director Fei Muzhi did not have the final edit rights. He was rely a worker on set, organizing the shooting, without much power.
Even so, Fei Muzhi was quite satisfied.
This was a two-hundred-million-dollar project. Given Fei Muzhi’s current credentials and connections, without Sheng Tang’s recomndation, it wouldn’t have co to him.
Even though he didn’t have the final edit rights, having the project in his hands ant it would be his achievent, and he could secure more investnts with this film.
He was quite happy.
Besides the director, Sheng Tang also looked at several other key actors.
The big boss, the nine-tailed fox, turned out to be William.
"William?" Sheng Tang was surprised.
She continued to look.
Another key role, the female cultivator who stands beside Bai Suzhen in the end, turned out to be the Qinglan Award-winning actress Wang Chuiyang.
"Wang Chuiyang?"
Besides Wang Chuiyang, there were two snake spirits, both played by well-known actors.
The cast was exceptionally luxurious, consisting entirely of handso n and beautiful won.
Sheng Tang and Wang Chuiyang need no introduction; they are recognized beauties with acting skills to match. After starring in "Who’s Afraid of the Workplace," William shot a movie not yet released, then participated in a singing competition reality show, fervently amassing fans, with soaring popularity.
The other two actresses playing the snake spirits were also exceptionally beautiful and talented.
Sheng Tang made a call to William.
"Sister Tang?" William was excited to receive her call, "What made you think of calling ? I thought we could only et at the script reading session."
It was indeed him and not soone with the sa na.
Sheng Tang laughed, "Didn’t expect you to take this role. Aren’t you afraid of not getting out of the character this ti?"
William laughed heartily.
"Sister Tang, let’s talk about it in person. I’m about to step into the studio, it’s inconvenient to talk now," William chuckled.
He was cautious, not wanting to discuss overly personal matters on the phone.
Sheng Tang agreed and hung up the phone.
The day before the script reading session, Sheng Tang used the excuse of returning from Paris to bring a dress to Mrs. Liu, then visited the Liu Family.
She gave a nice long dress to Mrs. Liu, then chatted with Liu Taofang about the movie.
"... with such a big-na cast, do we have enough budget?" Sheng Tang asked, smiling.
Liu Taofang laughed heartily, very pleased.
"I’ll tell you secretly, except for you, they all ca very cheap," Liu Taofang said.
Sheng Tang was puzzled.
Liu Taofang explained, "William and Wang Chuiyang’s agents both said they would act for free. Of course, not really for free, just gave them a symbolic fee of five million. As for the rest, their pay isn’t high; they all asked for the roles themselves."
After announcing Sheng Tang as the lead actress, Liu Taofang’s phone was ringing nonstop, and the office was flooded with résumés from various stars.
Mrs. Liu explained from the side, "You wouldn’t know, Tangtang, but the market is a bit superstitious right now. They’re all saying you’re lucky, that any movie you’re in is bound to be a hit."
Sheng Tang: "..."
Zheng Weiwei had joked about this before; did soone actually take it seriously?
She was just a three-billion-dollar actress, not to an exaggerated extent.
