Sheng Tang took a hot water bath and finally felt a bit better.
Sure enough, Ai’ai brought over so flu dicine.
Gu Jiahui was fetching hot water with a water cup to help her mix it.
As soon as Sheng Tang ca out, he handed her the cup.
She drank it in one go, feeling comfortable all over, and her nose was no longer blocked.
"Is this movie hard to shoot?" Gu Jiahui asked her, then looked at her feet.
Sheng Tang also glanced at them.
She had been playing a polio patient with mobility issues, and during filming, she walked with one leg bent. Gu Jiahui was very curious about why she played it so convincingly.
Sheng Tang smiled and straightened her leg: "My leg is fine. It is quite difficult to shoot. The director and producer want the characters in the movie to feel realistic, just because they’re young.
So, the actors they found are all students who haven’t graduated yet. The downside of having no experience becos apparent over ti.
Sotis they find it hard to get into character, and sotis their performance in front of the cara isn’t expressive enough. The cara often exaggerates expressions, and if you don’t grasp it well, you have to do it again.
These little mistakes, even the worst-performing veteran actors wouldn’t make, but the kids acting for the first ti keep making NG mistakes non-stop.
I understand now why new actors weren’t popular in the film era. If you waste film over and over again because of minor mistakes, I’d yell too if I were the director."
Gu Jiahui smiled slightly.
Sheng Tang asked him, "What are you here for?"
"Visiting the set," Gu Jiahui said, "If I rember correctly, I invested a quarter in this movie, didn’t I?"
They had agreed at the ti that half of Sheng Tang’s investnt, 15 million would count as Gu Jiahui’s, unless the movie flopped miserably.
Sheng Tang laughed, "Investors can certainly visit the set, but don’t start bossing people around."
While they were chatting, soone knocked on the door.
Sheng Tang went to open it.
It was the male lead, Zhu Cheng.
Zhu Cheng was a bit shy in private, with the unique scholarly air of a college student.
He held a few packets of flu dicine: "Sister Sheng, this is for you. Take it first to prevent a cold. I’m really sorry about today."
"Don’t ntion it," Sheng Tang regained her good temper, "It’s normal on set. You’ve done really well. Thank you for the dicine."
Zhu Cheng seed relieved.
He glanced into the room and noticed Gu Jiahui, saying, "Sister Sheng, you have a guest. I won’t disturb you. Get so rest."
Sheng Tang agreed.
She closed the door, put down the flu dicine, and smiled at Gu Jiahui: "He’s a good kid."
"Acting all mature, as if you’re much older," Gu Jiahui said.
Sheng Tang laughed.
They both sat down.
They hadn’t seen each other since the Qinglan Awards ceremony last ti.
Sheng Tang ntioned that evening of her own accord.
"... I went over to Gu Shiting’s side; he wanted to talk about sothing. Just had a chat with him," Sheng Tang said.
Gu Jiahui’s expression imdiately turned awkward.
He seed to strongly resist this topic.
After Sheng Tang finished speaking, she tactfully changed the subject: "I really got the award, thanks to your PR! This was a return on a thirty million investnt. I’m going to earn you another with this movie."
Gu Jiahui frowned and glanced at her: "Who cares about your money? Don’t I have my own money? I just do it for my happiness."
"Helping makes you happy?" Sheng Tang caught his words and teased him.
Unexpectedly, Gu Jiahui didn’t refute.
He nodded, "Yes."
Sheng Tang: "..."
This answer was beyond her expectation. She thought Gu Jiahui would laugh at her for being self-absorbed, but unexpectedly he admitted it.
