The first day of school was rowdy in the class.
The final exam results hadn’t been posted yet, and the morning was spent in a class eting.
Sheng Tang arrived in the classroom.
There weren’t many people in the classroom. When she walked in, many heads turned to look at her in surprise.
She had lost a lot of weight over the winter break and now appeared as slim as a typical young lady, which astonished the students.
When she sat down, soone finally spoke up, "Is that Sheng Tang?"
"She wasn’t this slim before the break, was she?"
Sheng Tang’s down jacket was newly bought, fitted perfectly, and had a bit of a cinched waist, making her look even slimr visually.
Afterwards, more students trickled into the classroom.
Jiang Baocu also arrived quite early.
She had her hair perd, and even with a high ponytail, the ends were slightly curled.
"Does it look good?" she asked Sheng Tang proudly.
Sheng Tang smiled, "You won’t know if it looks good until you let it down."
"School doesn’t allow us to wear our hair down."
Just as she finished speaking, a girl with her hair down walked in.
The girl wore a white jacket, her head down, her shoulder-length hair was thick and straight, covering most of her face.
Jiang Baocu and Sheng Tang didn’t recognize her imdiately and had no interest in looking closer.
Sheng Tang didn’t know half of the classmates in the class.
"See, you can wear your hair down," Sheng Tang said.
Jiang Baocu eagerly wanted to let her hair down but didn’t have a comb, so she decided to wait until tomorrow.
While they were chatting, the classroom remained chaotic, and then the class bell rang.
The head teacher walked into the classroom.
After the New Year, the head teacher looked even prettier. She wore a white coat, which she took off and hung by the side, revealing a beige sweater and a long black skirt underneath.
In her thirties, she still maintained a very slim figure.
"Did everyone have a good holiday?" She exchanged a few pleasantries, making so small talk.
She ntioned knowing that the students gathered several tis over the break to play Werewolf.
She also ntioned knowing that the students didn’t finish their winter howork and said they could catch up today and turn it in tomorrow.
After the chit-chat, she started talking about last sester’s final exam results.
"I’ll read out your overall rankings in the grade. The class rankings will be posted on the classroom door for you to check yourselves," the head teacher said.
"Sun Xiaojun, second in the grade."
After reading the ranking, she also read out Sun Xiaojun’s total score.
There was a commotion in the classroom.
The students all asked, "Teacher, the first in the grade isn’t in our class? Who is it?"
The head teacher’s expression changed slightly, appearing reluctant to say, with a pained look on her face.
After pondering for a few seconds, she said, "The first in the grade is Li Ye from Class Three, scoring seven points higher than Sun Xiaojun."
The classroom fell silent for a mont.
Li Ye wasn’t a sponsored student, yet she outperford them to take the top spot.
Moreover, she was originally from Class One.
If not for Bai Shaolin and Chen Shen, Li Ye would still be in Class One, and both the first and second places in the grade would belong to Class One.
And Wang Haihao, who was first in the mid-term exam, surprisingly dropped to sixth in the grade.
"Only three students from our class made it to the top ten in the grade," the head teacher said.
Then, she started reading the nas from the top twenty in the grade.
There were also three students from our class in the eleventh to twentieth positions in the grade.
"Sheng Tang, nineteenth in the grade, with a score of 617."
The classroom suddenly burst into chatter.
Sheng Tang herself estimated and found it roughly matched her expectations. She had moved up fifty-eight places from her seventeenth place in the mid-term exam, consistent with her previous progress.
The classmates were astonished.
Because Sheng Tang’s grades had never been outstanding. Forget the top twenty in the grade; she had never even been in the top twenty in the class.
It was too unexpected.
