The three-day trip to Paris was extrely enjoyable for Gu Shiyan.

However, Sheng Tang and Gu Shiting found it boring and tiring because neither of them had much interest in shopping.

"... And there was sothing interesting—a little rich kid took a liking to Tangtang and kept showing off. It was hilarious," Gu Shiyan said.

Gu Shiting’s face darkened even more.

His sister always knew how to touch a sore spot.

Mrs. Gu, seeing her son’s jealous expression, wasn’t bothered and responded with interest, "How did he show off?"

"He offered to buy Tangtang clothes, bags, and shoes, and even upgrade her seat. He was convinced that Tangtang and Ting were going to fly back in economy class," Gu Shiyan said.

Mrs. Gu glanced at Sheng Tang and then at Gu Shiting.

She didn’t say anything about Sheng Tang but comnted on Gu Shiting, "Ting’s dressing is indeed a bit too simple."

Gu Shiting dragged Sheng Tang upstairs, ignoring them.

He whispered to Sheng Tang, "They’ll lead you astray; don’t listen to them."

Sheng Tang chuckled.

She felt indifferent towards luxury goods because she had once possessed everything she wanted, to the point of disgust.

Now, the greatest luxury for her was family and friendship, which ant the warmth of the Sheng Family and Gu Shiting.

"I won’t listen." Sheng Tang laughed.

The following days passed quickly.

Gu Shiyan was indeed very busy during the New Year; she had to attend all kinds of events and banquets.

Mrs. Gu and Mr. Gu were equally busy.

So, at ho, it was just Sheng Tang and Gu Shiting left, practicing Sanda, fighting against the darkness, and catching up on math.

Ti flew, and the fourteenth of the lunar month was upon them.

Two more days until school started.

Sheng Tang returned to her ho.

She needed to tidy up and prepare. Gu Shiting was very disheartened. On the day Sheng Tang left, he sat alone for an entire day, doing nothing.

Song Chen was a bit worried about him and constantly stayed by his side.

"Young Master, it’s ti for dinner." Song Chen called him.

Gu Shiting couldn’t eat, he had no appetite. This winter break had been his happiest days, and he had enjoyed them imnsely.

"Song Chen, do sothing for !" Gu Shiting instructed.

Song Chen agreed.

After giving his instructions, Gu Shiting finally found the appetite to eat sothing.

Back at ho, Sheng Tang reorganized her winter vacation howork and also helped her younger brother check his howork, preparing for the new school term.

On the fifteenth of the lunar month, there was so commotion at the neighbors’ house.

It seed like they had guests.

Their neighbors were a young couple who had recently married. The house was bought for them by their parents and had been renovated just two years ago, everything was still new.

Granny occasionally chatted with them.

On the night of the Lantern Festival, Sheng Tang sat with her whole family, eating sweet dumplings.

Granny brought up the neighbors, "It seems the young couple next door is moving out."

"Why are they moving?" Mom was very curious.

They didn’t want neighbors that were too quirky and disruptive. Their current neighbors were very quiet, and both families got along well.

"The house was sold, and it fetched a high price," Granny said. "The girl even ntioned it was sold for a third more than the market price."

Although the houses in the old neighborhood weren’t great, the location was perfect. It was within the catchnt area of renowned elentary and middle schools, which pushed the prices up. Selling it for a third more than the market price indeed ant it was sold for quite a lot.

"But they shouldn’t sell it," Mom said. "The location is so convenient, and it’s in a good school district. It might be easy to sell now, but it’ll be hard to buy such a place again in the future. These young people have no foresight. Their parents would be furious if they knew."

Listening to this, Sheng Tang felt that sothing was off.

The young couple next door had never expressed any intention to sell the house.

She thought about it and then gave Gu Shiting a call after returning to her room.

"Do you know that our neighbors are selling their house?" Sheng Tang asked.
