The dining table fell silent for a mont.
Only Sheng Zong didn’t quite understand what Sheng Tang was saying. He felt it was just so ordinary, sweet talk, sowhat embarrassing.
"... It will definitely co true, it’s your birthday today." Dad chid in, "The birthday wishes of the celebrant usually co true."
Mom and Grandma laughed too, "That’s right."
Originally prepared for a conversation, the dining table was a bit tense, but now everyone relaxed, the atmosphere beca exceptionally lively.
Parents and Grandma also prepared birthday gifts for Sheng Tang.
After a joyous big al and cake, Sheng Tang insisted on going for a walk after dinner.
As soon as she left, Mom nervously asked Grandma, "How did she find out?"
Grandma’s smile was confident and composed, "Tangtang is smart, I’ve always said she is our child, she is a hundred tis smarter than Cheng Ruojun."
"But...."
"What’s with the ’but’? She understands, she’s a Sheng family mber. She doesn’t want to bring up the past, didn’t you notice?" Grandma laughed, "Not bringing it up is just fine, I’m also too lazy to dredge up those old, trivial, outdated accounts."
"Just let it go like this?"
"Just let it go like this." Grandma laughed, "I told you, my care for Tangtang didn’t go to waste."
Mom was still curious, how did Sheng Tang find out and when did she find out.
After she found out, what did she feel?
Back in her room, she also mumbled to Sheng Sidong, "We didn’t notice any clues, how did Tangtang find out?"
Sheng Sidong said, "When Xu Bingzhi ca, Zong saw him. Their sibling relationship is good, so he told Tangtang. Tangtang tricked into revealing it to her.
She gets along so well with the Gu family, they just had to check a bit to find Xu Bingzhi, I guess she found out then."
At that ti, Sheng Sidong was falsely accused by a female student, all frazzled, neither of the couple noticed any strangeness in Sheng Tang.
"Tangtang has gotten much smarter," Sheng Sidong sighed.
Fang ngying sighed, "Being smarter is good, at least not like Cheng Ruojun, so foolish."
The Sheng family indeed let this matter pass.
After the New Year holiday ended, when Sheng Tang got up early for school, she noticed fine snow falling outside.
S City rarely sees snow, only once or twice each winter, and it’s always light snow.
Snow is like celebrating New Year.
Sheng Zong was on the balcony, laughing and shouting, "Sis, we can build a snowman when we co back from school."
Sheng Tang said, "It might not snow that much."
"It definitely will, it’s freezing cold today." Sheng Zong said hopefully.
Sheng Tang also hoped the snow would get heavier.
She dressed up, took out the scarf her brother gave her yesterday, and wrapped it around her neck.
It was very soft and warm.
Sheng Zong felt a bit embarrassed, chuckled a few tis. He and Sheng Tang waited for the bus at the community gate, both yawning.
Their school didn’t require early reading, this was the first ti he got up this early for school, all because of the snow.
They each got on the bus.
The bus heater was warm; Sheng Tang dozed off and only woke up when the driver loudly called, "Huishi students get off, hey, little girl at the back, did you hear?"
The person next to her nudged Sheng Tang.
Sheng Tang woke up suddenly, the driver had been calling for a while. She rode this bus every day; the driver recognized her, afraid she might miss the stop and delay her studies, he waited for her.
The passengers seed to understand too, no one showed displeasure, they all smiled at the sleepy-headed Sheng Tang.
Sheng Tang felt embarrassed, thanked the driver, and quickly got off the bus.
The snow got heavier, the flakes were cool and light, like soft cotton, blanketing the streets and trees, everything covered in white, like wrapped in silver.
Today, they could really build a snowman.
