“Run?” Evan’s body was covered with bleeding wounds, and because of the pain he didn’t imdiately react to why he needed to run.
Although these wounds were not fatal, they looked extrely horrific and were very painful.
They really hurt, and Evan’s body was tightly tensed.
The only thing to be thankful for was that they did not affect his ability to move.
It must be said that Evan was lucky to be able to move even under the attack of such a dense sandstorm.
He looked down at his wounds and gasped; tiny cuts from the sandstorm covered his body, constantly oozing blood.
He was almost a blood-soaked figure now. Ignoring the flying Horus, Evan hastily conjured a shield to cover himself.
He knew he didn’t have ti to treat his wounds, so he found two bottles of potion and drank them.
Evan shook his head, feeling dazed for a mont, not knowing whether it was because of excessive blood loss or because of that annoying chant.
These sounds seed to co from nowhere and never stopped. The high-pitched singing was unsettling.
He had to fight while using Occluncy to resist these voices.
What on earth was going on?
Was there sothing key in the chant, or was this music a part of Horus’s appearance?
He was already no match for this deity, not to ntion these annoying sounds disturbing his mind.
Ramses II should not have failed to notice this and let Evan fight in such an extrely unfavorable situation.
He couldn’t figure out what was going on, so he took a deep breath and heard Horus talking to him from above.
Evan looked up at the sky and then he understood why Ramses II wanted him to run away quickly!
Above his head, the god Horus flapped his huge wings, hovering obliquely in mid-air.
Under his control, the colorful light orbs around him began to move, so ignited flas, so were covered with frost, and so…
These energy orbs composed of magic were nearly thirty feet in diater and ca in various colors, and the most eerie was the green one.
Horus stretched out his finger towards Evan, and one of the energy orbs, with a trendous whistling sound, hurtled toward Evan like a teor.
The shield in front of Evan, which could block the killing curse, seed as fragile as paper against these energy orbs.
There was almost no resistance and it shattered and disappeared imdiately.
If even the magical shield was like this, Evan feared that if he were hit, there wouldn’t even be a body left.
He couldn’t care about his wounds anymore and used all his strength to run across the desert, dodging these terrifying energy orbs.
Horus had indeed restrained his power, showing rcy; otherwise, these orbs wouldn’t be falling one by one.
As long as all the attacks ca down at once, Evan could only take them head-on, with no chance of escaping or fighting back at all.
The result of resisting head-on was certain death!
Even so, other than running away, Evan now had no way to resist.
During the brief monts between the falling orbs, he cast a few spells, but none were very effective.
Horus dissolved Evan’s magic in the blink of an eye. His remaining strength was quickly consud, and he felt that he had reached his limit.
How much longer could he keep running at this rate? This was not a fight at all. He was being toyed with by the opponent, forced to run in exhaustion.
Evan gritted his teeth and thought that perhaps he could only use the power of the Philosopher’s Stone—his trump card.
Since the opponent wanted to see his full strength so much, he might as well show it all.
He made up his mind, stopped, and with magic power surging throughout his body, he began to draw magic runes in the air with his wand.
“Huh!” Ramses II looked at Evan with a little surprise, “This magic seems interesting.”
Horus seed to feel the magic power rapidly gathering in front of Evan, and the speed of the blue energy orb’s attack increased significantly.
Evan felt the oppressive force and the drop in temperature brought by the ice.
He quickened the movents of his wand, remaining still as the energy orb closed in on him…
Ramses II frowned. He saw that Evan seed to be about to use so magic, but it was not yet completed.
Judging from the current situation, he might never have the chance to complete it. Horus would not give him the chance. This god had always been known for his caution. Even if he did not think that Evan could hurt him, he would not let him complete this magic.
Since it couldn’t be completed, Evan should just keep running.
According to the plan, Horus would hold back, letting the energy orbs narrowly miss Evan, falling dangerously close but without causing harm. The intent was to create enough of a threat to push Evan to his limits, forcing him to run desperately.
Ramses II planned to step in and clean up the situation when the ti was right after a few minutes of this intense but controlled chase.
But now, if Evan was standing there without dodging, he was completely waiting to die!
If he was hit by that terrible energy orb, he would be killed instantly.
Ramses II hesitated for just a mont before deciding to let the battle play out. If Evan died, so be it.
For him, bringing soone back to life wasn’t all that difficult if he wished to do so.
However, if Evan were to die just like this, Ramses II doubted whether he could help him accomplish his task.
In his plan, Evan didn’t need to be incredibly powerful.
No matter how strong he was, he would never be stronger than himself or those gods, so his strength wasn’t particularly significant.
All Ramses II required was for Evan to withstand ntal intrusion so that he could enter the prison and help him activate the weapon to destroy the gods.
Inside the prison, the gods who had lost their physical bodies were left with only the ability to attack ntally.
Therefore, Evan’s will needed to be firm enough, and his resistance to ntal magic strong enough.
In addition, Ramses II also needed Evan to run fast enough.
The operation to enter the prison would be a race against ti; even with his help, no one could guarantee how long Evan could hold out.
In such a situation, it was crucial that Evan had enough stamina and speed.
Wizards with frail bodies wouldn’t do…
Ramses II also had to make an accurate judgnt based on Evan’s actual situation.
Therefore, the so-called confrontation test was actually to test Evan’s will and physical strength.
The continuation of Horus’s attacks and Evan’s persistent running were precisely what should have happened according to Ramses II’s plan.
Now that Evan had stopped, it was sowhat disappointing! Perhaps he knew he couldn’t resist and gave up waiting for death.
Ramses II was concerned that if Evan’s will was so weak, could he resist the temptation of the gods?
The answer was probably no, which would an he couldn’t help Ramses II enter the prison to activate that weapon…
“How disappointing!” Ramses II said softly, watching the energy orb engulf Evan’s thin body. “Had I known it would end like this, I wouldn’t have co here. I could have spent ti with Nefertari instead…”
He hadn’t finished speaking when he suddenly stopped, squinting as he noticed Evan’s figure vanish from where he had stood.
“Hmm, space magic, interesting. Can it be cast instantaneously?” Ramses II muttered.
A huge eye appeared behind him, capturing Evan who had disappeared due to Apparition. …
