Hey guys,
So I am going to rant, please bear with . The thing is, I have always valued all the criticism that I have received in this book. This is the first thing that I have written and published. Since I was still in school when I started writing and since English is not my first language, I know for a fact that the first two volus were very unbearable, grammatically speaking. And I have taken all of your advice and constructive criticism and have tried to improve my writing. But recently (in the last two weeks) I have gotten so reviews and comnts that have confused , to say the least.
One of those reviews says "If the characters and plot didn't constantly do things that make no sense in the context of the story it could actually be really good." And now I am confused because I want to understand what this ans. I know, maybe saying this I am making myself look stupid, but I am genuinely very curious and if understanding this helps improve my writing then I am all for it.
Also, another comnt said that "English isn't my first language or I don't understand the situation?" Are they saying I don't understand the story I am writing, or the way I am writing is making it hard for you all to understand what I am trying to say?
I need answers from a reader's point of view. So feel free to voice your thoughts with as much honesty as you want. Please.
Again, I'm not being sarcastic or anything, I am genuinely worried and want to understand.
