Chapter 99: Co With
Bella was walking alone after a very long day of classes while her mind went through everything that had happened, over and over.
She had spent the day attempting to avoid speaking with anyone. This was particularly hard during the potion class, since she was still partnered with Jas Potter.
Bella had to try her hardest not to engage in conversation with him while those in her house were watching. Even though she really wanted to speak with him about many things.
Especially about what happened the day prior.
The Head of their house inford them last night that Rodolphus, his brother, and four other students from Slytherin were found in a resting area near the exit of Hogsade.
They were all injured in different ways. So were in worse condition than others. Like Rabastan, who had both his arms and legs completely broken. Or Snape, who was turned into a toad and also had several broken bones.
Also, all of their mories had been completely wiped, so no one rembers what had transpired or who was responsible for the attack.
It was bad enough that they had to be sent to Saints Mungo, because it was too much for the school nurse to handle alone. They all have to receive a full check-up and attention from a mind healer who is going to attempt and retrieve so of the missing mories. Although that seems very unlikely.
In the common room, everyone was outraged by the attack. Even though all of them must have known enough about the Lestrange brothers to assu this was not an unprovoked attack.
Malfoy was particularly furious and was questioning anyone who happened to be at Hogsade on that day.
Bella began to grow concerned when she heard soone comnt that she had seen her cousin Sirius and his friends leaving the Three Broomsticks shortly after them. But there was no ntion of Jas being there.
Not that Bella thought that Jas would do sothing like that. However, she could not think of anyone else in the entire school who could do that.
She had seen how advanced his magic is. Even though the previous tis he was ambushed by mbers of her house, he had simply defused the situation with so potion…sothing that had made them even angrier.
Bella had to wonder, if Jas got serious…how scary could he be?.
"Hey."
All of a sudden, she heard soone's voice and felt a hand on her shoulder.
Bellatrix let out shriek, moved away, and aid her wand at the empty air.
"Who's there?!. Show yourself."
"Did I just hear Bellatrix Black letting out a girly shriek?."
She recognized the voice imdiately. "Jas?."
He removed the invisibility charm and greeted her again.
Bella panicked. "What are you doing here?. We are in the dungeons!." This was still a common area, but after classes, the only students who walked these corridors were from Slytherin.
"Yes. I know where we are." Jas responded.
"Soone could see you here." Bella snapped.
"That's why I used the invisibility charm." He offered her his hand. "Now, co on. I have sothing interesting to show you."
"We can't walk around the castle together. Have you not heard about what happened yesterday?." Bella said.
Jas waved his hand. "No one will see us."
After covering themselves with another invisible charm and placing a silencing one on their feet, Jas guided her to the second floor.
"What are we doing here?." Bella looked around but could not see anything of interest, other than the girl's bathroom that no one wanted to use.
Jas moved directly towards that bathroom while still holding onto her hand.
"What are you doing?. You can't go in there!." Bella exclaid.
"It's okay, that bathroom is always empty," Jas told her sothing that she already knew.
"That's not the issue here," Bella told him, but he wouldn't listen and dragged her inside.
Once in there, he closed the door behind them and removed all their charms.
Imdiately after, the only resident of this place made her appearance.
"You again?!. I told you not to co in here!. This is for girls." Myrtle began to berate him.
"I told him that already…" Bella raised an eyebrow.
She was wondering why Jas would bring her to a haunted bathroom, but was shocked when she saw Jas aim his hand at the ghost and shoot a spell at it without hesitation.
"Why did you do that for?." She didn't like this particular ghost...no one did. But Myrtle had a good reason to be upset by Jas's presence.
"Just paralyzed her for a bit. I don't want her to see this next part. Co closer." Jas walked to the sinks at the end of the bathroom.
Bella approached with curiosity, wondering what this was all about.
"From now on, this will be your exclusive entrance. The ghost shouldn't complain if you co here alone. I have prepared a more appropriate one for ." Jas explained.
"Entrance?..." It only took her a mont to realize what he was referring to. It could only be one thing. "You have made another laboratory?. Are you crazy?, They will expel you if you get caught again."
"Then I just have to avoid getting caught." Jas pointed at the sink. "Now, pay attention because I don't like repeating things. See that symbol of the snake in this particular faucet?."
"I do…" Bella said.
"Put your hand on it and say "Open", loud and clearly."
Bella looked at him with suspicion but did as he said. "Open."
She then got startled when the sink moved away and revealed a set of stairs that went down. "You made your lab under a girls' bathroom?!... that's….so weird."
"Oh, it is much more than that." Jas pointed at the stairs. " Ladies first"
"You may want to change that password, though…'open' doesn't seem very safe." Bella pointed out.
"It is very safe. As it only works when you are the one touching the faucet. I have attuned that entrance to your magical signature."
"Wait…how did you do that?. Don't you need my blood for that?." Bella asked.
"No. Just a few hairs and a skin sample will do." Jas responded.
"When did you get skin and hair samples from ?!." Bella exclaid.
Jas ignored her question." That's not important. Now co on, you will like this next part."
