Chapter 194: Aura

Jas turned to look at the young woman in front of him and spoke to her. "𐏀𐎤𐎽 (I am)."

This one didn't seem to react at first, but then began to approach him.

Jas decided to observe and not take any actions that could be misleading, so he just waited.

The woman seed to be as curious about Jas as he was about her.

"𐎭𐎠𐎬𐎤." She said sothing to him while tilting her head.

"What is she saying?" Bella couldn't understand a single word. She was good at Latin, but Surian sounded completely alien to her.

"She is asking for a na," Jas responded. "I haven't really thought about having to na anyone today…"

"Maybe sothing about gold? She definitely likes that color." Bella pointed out. Given that the young woman was surrounded by a golden aura and wearing golden robes.

"I don't think it's about likes, but…you do have a point." Jas glanced at the golden goddess in front of him. "Aurum ans gold in Latin, so what about…Aura?"

"Aura…" The young girl seed to react. "𐎨𐎽 𐏂𐎧𐎠𐏂 𐎬𐏀 𐎭𐎠𐎬𐎤."

Jas nodded. "Yes, that is your na…and you are going to have to learn English sohow. My Surian is very basic to keep a conversation."

He wasn't sure if the young girl understood anything other than her na, but she suddenly smiled.

"Aura." She kept repeating the na.

"Looks like she likes it," Bella said.

The golden energy around Aura began to change.

Jas could tell that she was doing sothing, but could not guess what it was. "What are you…hold on, what is the word I'm looking

for?...𐎯𐎸𐎱𐎯𐎮𐎽𐎤 (Purpose)?" He was trying to find out what she was trying to do.

Aura did not answer with words, but by lunging at him, moving at a trendous speed, just as fast as the witch he had fought the other day.

Jas had not anticipated any form of attack and was not ready for this. However, he felt no aggression or danger from the other party. If anything, it was the opposite.

Aura wrapped her arms around his neck, and her body began to shine like a beacon.

"Oi! What are you doing?!" Bella shouted at her, but didn't know what else to do, as using her magic on the newly born entity could have unwanted results. Not to ntion that she was too close to Jas to shoot at her.

None of that mattered because just a mont later, Aura seed to completely disappear in a flash of golden light, leaving them both very confused.

Jas, however, only needed a few seconds to understand what had happened. He could still feel her powerful magic, and it was now inside him, being fused with his own.

He glanced down at his hands and noticed that his skin had a golden luster to it.

"Okay…I didn't think it was going to work like this. It really goes beyond my expectations."

"Jas, are you okay?" Bella rushed to his side, now that the danger seed to have disappeared.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" Jas tried to reassure her.

"Because…she…she jumped at you and then vanished. What was that about?" Bella felt extrely confused. "Where is she?"

"She didn't go anywhere." Jas extended his arms. "Aura!"

The instant he called, golden energy surrounded his body, enveloping him in a shiny protective cocoon. Once the light dissipated a bit, it left behind a set of golden robes that seed to have supplanted the ones Jas had been wearing before.

They were kind of similar to the ones the young girl was wearing when they first saw her, but had been changed slightly to fit Jas's body better.

The golden robes covered him from head to toe and were still emitting a divine luster, giving Jas an aura of nobility that could not be ignored.

"What the…" Bella looked baffled. "Those are the robes she was wearing…but where is the girl?"

"Bella, don't you see it?" Jas asked. "There was never an actual girl here. It was just a taphysical manifestation created by the robes. They are the real artifact." He pointed at the golden clothes.

"The robes are the artifact you made?" Bella took a closer look. "What are they made of?...it doesn't look like fabric."

"They are made of a mixture of the Divine Leather I found at the tomb and a special magical alloy I created to combine it with the leather. The resulting material is sothing that even I don't really understand yet."

Jas had to admit that even he was a bit lost when it ca to his last creation, because he used a material he didn't truly comprehend in the first place.

Others would have called his actions reckless or idiotic, but Jas was confident that he was doing the right thing. And no one could argue against these results.

"Okay, so you made so sentient robes, is that what they are?" Bella ran her fingers across the surface of the robes. "Feels cold…like tal."

"Maybe on the outside. I actually feel very warm," Jas comnted.

Bella frowned at this. For so reason, she didn't like to hear that. Even if the robes weren't a real girl, it was still unpleasant to see them wrapped around Jas's body. "And what do these magical robes do? You almost died to create them, so I imagine they must have a powerful enchantnt on them."

"Mmm…I'm afraid that is going to require so testing." Jas glanced at Bella. "It is good that you ca here today."

"??..." Bella tilted her head.

"I can't use Nyxaris yet. She needs to rest for a few more weeks at least." Jas opened his arms. "Tell , Bella…what is the deadliest curse you know?"

"The deadliest?" she asked.

A confident grin appeared on Jas's face. "I want you to hit with the best you have."
