Chapter 124: To The Rescue
"Bloody hell! Who did that?!" Rabastan Lestrange shouted, just after he saw his brother's hand beco mangled and bloody.
"I told you I heard sothing before." Snape looked around the room once more. He could not see anyone but was sure soone was there.
He lifted his wand and channeled his magic. "Honum Revelio!"
Thanks to Snape, they could now see four silhouettes involved in an eerie red light produced by the spell.
But the Marauders had the elent of surprise in their favor. By the ti they were spotted, Remus, Peter, and Sirius had already sent several spells in their direction.
Rabastan was pushed backward by a Flipendo Jinx while his brother was burned by an Incendio.
"Butcher those bastards!" Rodolphus shouted as he attempted to extinguish the flas from his robes. He had lost his wand and his right hand was useless, making the task extra difficult.
An Expelliarmus landed on Lucius. Unfortunately, it only managed to send his cane away, so the boy remained ard and angry.
"Sectumsempra!" Snape made use of his latest creation and sent it to one of the red shadows.
Snape had no way of knowing that his spell was going in Peter's direction, who had no way to defend himself against such a curse.
Jas conjured a tallic plate in front of Peter to absorb the impact and hurried to take care of Snape as this one continued to attack.
"It's you, Potter?!" Snape bellowed at the top of his lungs. No matter what he did, the sa ones were always getting in his way. Even if he couldn't see his attackers, he was sure it was the four Marauders.
Jas had to keep track of the others as well. Rodolphus was out of commission for the ti being as he had lost his wand hand and his wand.
Malfoy and Rabastan had recovered and were ready to strike back.
'Where is the other one?' There was a fifth boy, the one that Androda had knocked out at the start of this brawl.
Jas found him trying to sneak behind him out of the corner of his eyes.
'Bad choice,' he thought before he twisted his body and used his left hand to cast a low-level fire hex at the boy.
The unfortunate Slytherin senior whose na he still didn't know was sent flying away with his body covered in flas.
'He should be fine, I put little power on that one…' Jas had no ti to worry about that.
"Protego!" Sirius managed to block two spells sent to him by Malfoy while Remus avoided Rabastan's assault.
Those two weren't doing so badly, but their opponents were clearly much more experienced.
Peter had disappeared and Jas could only guess that he had used his Animagus form to conceal himself.
'That's probably for the best.' The boy was not cut for combat and at least he no longer had to protect him.
Snape was going directly for him now while yelling, "Potter!"
'Okay, that one first.' His wand moved like lightning. "Sectumsempra!" He decided to give Snape a taste of his own magic.
"What?!" The boy was so shocked that he didn't even have a chance to raise any protection before the spell hit him.
All over his body, deep cuts began to appear and bleed.
Jas moved to the other targets. "Obscuro."
A dark cloud appeared around Malfoy's head, blinding him completely and making breathing very difficult.
"Get this off !" Lucius shouted while attempting to remove the cloud using his hands.
Remus took this chance to attack again and finally managed to stun him.
"Diffindo!" Rabastan sent a cutting charm at Sirius and was about to use it again when Jas stopped him.
"Silencio." The silencing charm hit the target and took away his ability to speak.
This was quickly followed by an "Impedinta" that reduced the speed of his movents and finally a petrifying charm to keep him in place.
"W-we won?…" Sirius spoke with disbelief as he watched his opponent beco frozen in place.
Jas passed by Rodlphus's side as this one was done extinguishing the flas on his robes. "Stupefy."
The giant young man went down.
His eyes went to the boy he set ablaze. It seed that he had managed to put out the fire as well, but he looked badly burned and whimpering in pain.
'He is alive.' That's all that Jas cared about.
He could not afford to have a dead student right now. If they did sothing like this outside the castle…that would have been a different story.
"Finite." Jas removed the bindings on Androda.
The girl hurried to fetch the wand that had been resting a few feet away from her and clutched it tightly.
"Who are you?"
The "Honum Revelio" that Snape had used was still in effect, so she could only see their profiles as red shadows.
"We a—" Sirius was about to reveal their identities to his cousin when he saw Jas raise his hand and stopped talking.
Jas then pointed at Snape. He had diminished the hex that Jas had used on him but decided to remain on the ground, pretending to be uncouncious.
'Not bad, but not enough to fool .' Jas pointed his wand at Snape and sent a stunner that hit his back.
"Let's not talk here," Jas then said in a soft tone.
It was still enough for Androda to recognize his voice. This cald her down quite a bit, despite the fact that she barely knew Jas.
However, he had sohow earned the trust of her sister Bella, and that was no easy feat.
"Okay, I know a place where we can talk…follow ."
Androda dusted her robes, gave Malfoy and the others one last glance of disgust, and went outside the arena.
Sirius and the others looked at each other.
Jas nodded and pointed at the door, as if saying 'Let's go.' And they followed.
Androda guided them through the endless maze that was the dungeons until they reached so dead end.
She proved her knowledge of the area by opening a secret entrance and walking inside.
The boys stood there for a mont, and Androda poked her head out.
"What are you waiting for? I'm not going to bite you, so get inside before soone sees four suspicious red shadows and reports you to a professor."
