"Tell , what solution can you offer for the second problem? Any ideas?"
Hermione thought for a second, and I started to develop the idea. A bunch of ideas popped into my head, but Hermione voiced one before I did:
"So way to set up the storage devices so that they give off magic at the right mont?"
"It doesn't work," the professor shook his head, taking a seat in a chair at one of the tables. "Tried it, and more than once. We would have to almost completely rework all the magical circuits and constructs to use such storage devices. It's too much work, and it's completely unjustified."
"But so ritual sches use runic and curly components that accumulate magic and give it away at the right mont."
"Already calculated contours, nothing surprising. You can't replace them with an accumulator. Only if you build, for example, a rune contour around the storage device and then build it into the ritual, but as I said, you will have to redo the entire sche of the ritual, and it's not a fact that it will work out."
"Radio-controlled cars," I gave out one of my ideas.
Everyone looked at with curiosity, and while Hermione was expecting the developnt of the idea, Flitwick looked at with so incomprehension. So I explained the concept of radio control, "radio" in general, and stuff.
"That makes sense," the professor said thoughtfully. "And we've been using radio quite successfully."
"Exactly," I nodded."We need to develop two simple devices - the control device that the wizard will use and the magic storage device itself. Let's say there's a high-capacity storage device. On the basis of silicate compounds, select the optimal focusing magic - through it, transfer magic to the starting point of the sche or contour. You can adjust the power of magic transfer using a material or a rune sche with variable bandwidth. The result would be a kind of wizard analog: instead of a body - a storage device; instead of a mind - a rune circuit; instead of a wand - a silicate focuser."
"Turns out the answer was right in front of our noses, huh?" smiled Flitwick. Hermione, on the other hand, thought about it and smiled, too, nodding at her own thoughts.
"Well, it's pretty simple in ordinary people's science - a lot of their inventions exist in nature anyway, but in a different form. So things get complicated and recycled beyond recognition, but the roots of everything are the sa. Well, it seems that way to ."
"Great! That's sothing we can work with, and that will be the second part of our project. The first is to figure out a way to increase the capacity of the materials. Make a list of the materials available - these will be the objects of experintation. According to these lists, I'm expecting layouts within a week, and not to do the sa work that I've already been doing..."
The professor pulled out from the drawer in the desk at which he was sitting a rather thick folder of the thinnest parchnts, no, paper. Regular paper. He pulled it out and handed it to us.
"… Here are my calculations and calculations of a couple of past participants. I dare not detain you any longer - you and I have a lot of work to do!"
Hermione and I left the lab and went to the common room to change and then go to practice.
"Just incredible, really!" Hermione looked at the notes from the folder on the way. "There's so much interesting stuff in here... It could all co in very handy for us in the end."
"I'm sure it will, Miona."
After a quick change of clothes, we got under the concealnt spell to the Chamber of Secrets and began training with Delphine. I'm getting stuff thrown at at breakneck speed, and my job is to transform it into sothing useful to or sothing I can respond with imdiately. Hermione's job is to undo the transfiguration and supply the shells to Delphine. The task of training is to master the formulas and spells on transfiguration, switching to free transfiguration. Free transfiguration is ideally transformation at the expense of the will. But often, you just use basic formulas for either form, volu, or materials. Or so ready-made, personal templates, well, and most of them are finished with volitional efforts and imagination.
We had to take a short break for dinner, and then again, training, and so on until bedti.
