Chapter 374: Ti-Trouble
Alternate Universe, Future Magnus’ World
Magnus and his friends rushed to Hagrid, they found the attackers and quickly killed them, but that wasn’t the end, they found Hagrid’s body, beaten and battered. Blood all around like a puddle. Around him were also a few Unicorn dead bodies.
“NO! Ragnar, get all the potions you have,” Magnus shouted.
He tried to use all the magic he had to fix the gentle giant. But Severus fell back all of a sudden, horrified by what he found, “Stop it, Magnus. H-he’s no more.”
“I can save him.” Magnus didn’t quit just yet, as he was using all the magic he knew. There were a lot of deep flesh wounds on his body, many going as deep as his bones.
Fluffy sat beside the dead body, putting his head on Hagrid’s feet and crying silently. He could already feel that sothing had gone horribly wrong.
“W-we should contact the school.” Ragnar sadly blurted.
Soon enough, Dumbledore arrived at the place, looking as saddened as Magnus. Hagrid was like a son to him, one who he looked after when he was at his lowest. Hagrid was also one of the most staunch supporters and believers of Dumbledore after all.
“I have failed,” Dumbledore muttered. Hagrid believed him fully and yet he died.
Magnus however was silent for a few hours, the entire school was shocked by what happened, two death eaters appeared from sowhere and killed Hagrid, also a few unicorns.
“He’s going to do sothing, I can already see it. Be with him,” Ragnar told Emma.
But Magnus had already done it. He took out his phone and called Adrian, “Bring the ti-turner right now. Two Death Eaters killed Hagrid.”
That was all he needed to get Adrian to co. Adrian had no reason to deny either, as Magnus was his boss and Hagrid was dear to him as well. The one person who didn’t deserve to die the most at the hands of these animals was Hagrid. It was a fact that he never tried to do any harm to anybody.

In the middle of the night, Adrian arrived at the school to give him the ti-turner. “Please use it carefully, try not to get recognised by anyone, especially yourself. And try not to get involved in the situation physically yourself. Using a ti turner is a double-edged sword, if done right it can be your greatest help, if done wrong, it can beco your worst nightmare.
“There is a reason why they are banned and under the strict watch of the ministry. These things have the power to destroy the entire world if in the wrong hands. But even Voldemort has not used them, as he probably understands the dangers as well.”
“I understand that, Adrian. See you later.” Magnus used the Ti-Turner to return 5 hours in ti. He had no idea when the attack on Hagrid occurred by he didn’t take any chances and went to 7 in the evening, as he was notified by Fluffy at 8.
He used apparition to get to the sa spot in the jungle and hid. There was no activity so he guessed that it had not happened by then.
~What’s that? These bastards are after the Unicorns?~ he realised what was happening, as two wizards appeared in his view.
But he used his rlin’s staff to nullify the damage of their spells and allow the Unicorns to only get slightly injured and make them fake death. If he didn’t save them even now then he’d be really ashad. ~I will take all the Unicorns in the world to Calot if their blood is what Voldemort is after.~ he decided.
“Magnus is such a good kid, we’ll make so special apple herb pie for him,” Hagrid was happily talking to Fluffy.
Magnus felt his resolve to save him increased by many tis, ~Don’t worry, big man.~
Next, as he expected, the two wizards saw Hagrid and decided to kill him, but this ti, whenever they sent a spell at Hagrid, Magnus would use his overpowered staff to reduce their effects to a degree that they’d only hurt and not injure. But he also quickly made Hagrid fall unconscious to make the attackers feel like they had won.
There was a really important thing needed to know if one was going to recent past to change sothing by using a ti turner. The biggest rule was that it must always be a perfect loop. Because if it isn’t it will ss up the entire tiline and your own tiline will not get the results of what you did, instead, a new tiline will start-up, different from yours.
The easiest way to make a perfect loop was to achieve your goals in a way that the effects of your work appear after the ti when you used the ti-turner has passed. In short, the future Magnus had to do sothing that the Magnus in the past still sees Hagrid dead and cos to the past to save Hagrid.
He could not kill these two wizards really, so all he could do was silently interfere. The next major thing he needed to do was to sohow make everyone think Hagrid was dead, especially Dumbledore who would absolutely do a thorough check.
However, just then a strange thought ca up in his mind, ~Wait, does this an that if I were to return, Hagrid would be alive? Since theoretically, I have already done this in another tiline. FUCK! Ti travel is so confusing.~
Shaking his head and letting all these thoughts sit aside, he started to cast his spell, making Hagrid’s body basically go in hibernation, with the ti set to wake up 5.5 hours from now.
It was a really complex spell that rlin taught him, he had never even tried it on soone, but at least the only bad thing that could happen with this was the person falling asleep.
Once that was done, he decided to head back before the current Magnus arrived. However, he was found out, ~Fuck and my crazy senses.~
He was exhausted from using rlin’s wand and didn’t want to fight himself. It would go on for too long. So he tried to send a ntal ssage to himself, it was easy as he knew the defences of his own mind, ~You dumb shit, I am you from the future. Quick, Obliviate yourself or you will ss up everything.~
Magnus from the past seed shocked but believed the words spoken to his mind. He turned to Severus and demanded that he be obliviated.
Seeing this, Future Magnus quickly left the scene just in ti to return from where he used the Ti-Turner. Though one thought remained in his head, ~Hmm… does this an that this interaction took place with as well but don’t rember because I obliviated myself?~

Pri Tiline, Present Magnus’ world
Magnus headed straight to where Hagrid was, he was in a puddle of blood and two wizards stood near him. They were cursing, “Fuck, why is he not dying?”
“I will tell you!” Magnus jumped near them and pointed to his staff. Just one single flick was all that was needed to lt the bones of the two wizards, but it was done in a way that they did not imdiately die. They also tried to get away by apparating away but Magnus was not the one to make stupid mistakes of letting them go.
He rushed to Hagrid and used the staff to heal him, but no matter what he did, he was not able to save Hagrid, he had already lost his life and was not breathing.
The two death eaters were caught and Hagrid’s body was taken to the infirmary by Dumbledore soon. Hagrid was declared dead officially at that ti, the news was sent to all important personnel and the Ministry was notified of the resurfacing of the Death Eaters.
Magnus was really sad at that mont, so he made up the plan to go to the past and fix everything.

5 hours later,
Magnus found himself standing in the sa place where he used the Ti-Turner before. Adrian was nowhere to be seen as he had smartly left, knowing it could cause complications.
He dashed towards the infirmary to check up on Hagrid, to see if his hard work was even fruitful. There was a crowd gathered in there, all looking grim. His heart shrank a little, feeling that his attempt was unsuccessful.
