Alicia put her face in her palms and exhaled out of frustration. She rubbed her face, almost peeling her skin along with it and sighed. She looked around as if looking for sothing to vent her frustration on, but when she saw nothing, she was able to calm down for a mont.

Alicia looked toward her door. For so reason, she hoped that Aaron would walk through the door so she could say sorry for being so harsh with him for no reason. She didn’t know why she did so. Aaron had not done anything to make her angry, at least not knowingly.

However, a part of her also wished that Aaron would not co to see her at all as it would remind her that he was planning to leave again and thus, bring back mories of Isaac.

"You useless bastard!" she cursed her late husband inwardly, gritting her teeth bitterly.

Alicia had been feeling this way for so ti, ever since Aaron left with Yana to the Crimson Star Palace of the chieftain. That was when the cold hands of loneliness gripped her and made her a captive.

She sighed loudly and fell back on her bed, clasping her hands over her belly and watching the ceiling of her room. Alicia was lost in thoughts.

After a few minutes, her eyes suddenly opened and she sat up, looking towards the door again.

She looked and waited to confirm what she had heard.

A few seconds passed and another knock ca on the door like it had happened not long ago.

"Yeah, co in!" Alicia answered.

The door slowly opened up, hinting at the hesitancy of the person in doing so, plus the delay in showing himself. Alicia could tell that her son was being careful around her now and was playing safe to avoid another display of unusual behaviour from his mother.

This saddened her and her face beca gloomy.

She postured herself like a prim and proper woman. "Co in, my dear," she said, urging her son to enter the room.

Alicia then shifted so centitres to her right and patted the left side of the bed for him to co and sit beside her.

Aaron accepted her offer and went ahead to sit beside her.

"Are you al—"

"I’m sorry!" Alicia apologised, cutting him off. "I’m sorry for what I said downstairs. I shouldn’t have and it is not your fault. I completely understand that you have to go and why you have to go."

Aaron stared and listened to her grievances as she continued talking for another few minutes. He didn’t want to stop her or do anything that would interrupt the flow of her speech and this was simply because he was interested in finding out the cause of her harsh behaviour earlier.

After his mother abandoned him in the dining room and went upstairs to her room, Aaron felt an unusual air of despair and misery around Alicia. That was enough to tell him that whatever triggered her into acting the way she had done was more than just what he said.

It was sothing rooted deep inside of her and he wanted to know. Perhaps, it might even help him with his life as her son, Aaron Winters.

Aaron kept his gaze, watching her sniffle as tears gathered in her eyes but didn’t yet drop. He placed his hand gently on her shoulder and said, "I understand, mum. There’s no need for you to apologise."

His reassuring words soothed Alicia’s grievance a little bit. She wiped her eyes and turned to him, forcing a smile and nodding her head.

"Thank you," she whispered, going in for a hug.

Aaron hugged her back and exhaled, relaxing into her warm, motherly embrace and savouring every feel of her bosoms on his body.

Soon after, Alicia broke their hug and pulled back, wiping her eyes again.

"It’s just that I am afraid," she started to reveal her innermost worries. Thus, gaining Aaron’s utmost attention.

"I’m scared that you will leave behind like your father did, Aaron."

"My father?" Aaron thought to himself. "What is she talking about?"

Aaron opened his ears to her, ready to take in every word that was going to co out of Alicia’s mouth.

The Incubus Lord knew that whatever she had to say about his current body’s father, no matter how trivial it may sound, mattered a lot to him if he was serious about understanding the life of the body he possessed.

That was a way to beco better at being Aaron. By knowing more about Aaron Winters, he would be closer to being like the real Aaron Winters.

"I know you don’t want to talk about him, Aaron. I know you don’t like hearing about your father but the fact still remains that he is your father. No matter what he had done to us, that is what he will remain to you. And fuck my life, my dear, I loved that man," Alicia snivelled.

"I loved him so much that it was unhealthy for . That is why it still hurts," she continued, pointing a finger to her heart.

"It still hurts right inside here. And I have bottled it in long enough."

At this point, Aaron was speechless. His eyes peered forward into Alicia’s and his ears listened. His body language suggested that he gave his mother all the attention she needed and yet, he didn’t understand a thing about what she was harping on about.

Alicia lowered her head and tears dropped to the floor. Aaron noticed this and inched closer to her, his arms going around her and pulling her closer to himself.

Aaron looked at the ceiling and sighed, frustration evident in his eyes because he was about to do sothing he didn’t want to do but had to do it.

He had to console a crying woman.

Aaron rubbed her back slowly and gently, whispering words into her ears to calm her down. After a little while, Alicia finally lifted her head and turned toward Aaron.

Tears still rolled down her cheeks and her countenance was still a sad one. She made eye contact and said nothing to him.

Aaron smiled at her.

"Do you want to take away all the pain?" he asked.

Alicia nodded.

Aaron extended his hand, reaching for her right breast and placing his hand on it as he moved closer to Alicia.

He moved his face closer to hers and his mouth to her right ear, the warm air he breathed out passionately brushing against her soft ear lobule.

"Do you want to take away all the pain in here?" he asked again, his hand pressing on Alicia’s left breast.
