Chapter 80 - The Crimson Empress and the Teacher

The spear of red lightning fell from the heavens, aiming to kill without rcy.

But—

"Ah la la, Princess... what are you doing?"

A lazy yet crushing voice echoed through the air.

In an instant, Sophie’s spear shattered into dust, erased by the sheer weight of the man’s voice.

Sophie turned sharply, already knowing who it was.

A tall, black-skinned man with white dreadlocks stood before her, a sword hanging loosely at his waist.

Teacher Damon.

Her crimson eyes narrowed.

"What are you doing here, Teacher Damon?"

Damon tilted his head, his smile carefree, but his eyes sharp.

"Shouldn’t I be asking you that, Princess?"

"Were you planning to kill them?"

"Here, in the academy?"

His voice turned heavier, more suffocating.

"Who do you take us for?"

A powerful pressure descended, pushing against her.

Sophie stood firm.

Without a word, she raised her hand—another crimson spear of lightning forming at her fingertips.

"Move," she said coldly.

Her will was clear.

Today, blood would be spilled.

Today, there would be no rcy.

She didn’t care about the academy, its rules, its consequences.

If Noah was dead... then there was nothing left here for her.

Even if it ant throwing away her future.

Even if it ant facing Damon head-on.

Her aura exploded again, thicker and redder than before.

The air itself trembled under her rage.

Damon sighed, glancing at the terrified second-years behind him, and the half-collapsed Luke.

"What did you idiots do to make her this angry?" he muttered.

One of them opened his mouth—

"Save it," Damon interrupted coldly.

"You’ll explain everything to the Student Council after this."

But—

Sophie’s voice crashed like thunder.

"After this?"

"There is no ’after’ for them."

"They die today."

Without hesitation, she vanished—and reappeared before a girl, her spear aid rcilessly at her heart.

Clink—!

Damon’s sword moved like a whisper, parrying the blow with casual ease.

"Princess," Damon said, his voice calm but firm.

"Don’t make this harder."

"I can’t let you kill students on academy grounds."

Sophie locked her blazing red eyes into his, her voice hollow.

"I. Don’t. Care."

Her power surged once more—red lightning roaring around her.

But—

A voice, calm yet commanding, sliced through the madness.

"Stop, Sophie."

She froze, instinct overriding rage.

She turned—

And saw a woman with long white hair and piercing silver eyes.

Elizabeth.

Sophie appeared before her in a blink.

"You—weren’t you with Noah?!" she demanded.

"Where is he?!"

Elizabeth’s voice was steady, soothing.

"He’s alive."

"He’s resting right now. Safe."

"So stop. There’s no reason to fight anymore."

Good thing I trusted my instincts and rushed here, Elizabeth thought grimly.

Being an Oracle definitely had its perks.

Sophie exhaled, her body trembling slightly as the tidal wave of rage retreated.

Her lightning disappeared.

Her eyes cooled.

And in a heartbeat, she returned to the calm, composed Sophie everyone knew.

But the others would never forget what they saw today.

The bloodthirsty Red Empress.

The face of unstoppable death.

Elizabeth turned to Damon, bowing her head slightly.

"We apologize for the disturbance, Teacher."

"We’ll be leaving now."

She took Sophie’s hand and pulled her away without hesitation.

Even if jealousy burned within her chest, Elizabeth would not harm what Noah cherished.

Not even if it hurt.

As they left, Sophie turned her head back, her voice low and cold.

"I rember all your faces."

"If we et again..."

"You won’t be so lucky."

Then she turned forward again and left with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth just smiled faintly.

Soon, they disappeared into the distance, leaving Damon alone with the terrified students.

Damon turned slowly, his eyes pinning Luke to the wall.

"Now... explain everything."

...

anwhile—

Sophie and Elizabeth walked silently through the shadowed halls.

"Why?" Sophie finally asked, her voice soft.

"Why did you help ?"

Elizabeth smiled faintly.

"Isn’t it obvious?" she said lightly.

"I did it for Noah."

Sophie paused.

"Did you fall for him too?"

Elizabeth’s smile twisted, turning dark, obsessive.

"Fall?"

She leaned close—too close—her silver eyes gleaming.

"I didn’t just fall."

"I surrendered."

"I gave him everything."

"I belong to him. Mind, body, and soul."

She straightened, her eyes burning with madness and devotion.

"So when I sensed sothing wrong, I ran."

"Because Noah cares about you."

"And even though I want to tear apart any woman who gets close to him..."

"I won’t."

"Because hurting you would an hurting him. And that ans Noah leaving ."

"And I can’t survive without him."

Sophie stared at her silently, feeling the storm of emotions inside the girl before her.

She already knew Noah would have other wives.

But he had told her once—

"I’m the first," Sophie said with a small smirk.

"And the first always holds a special place."

Elizabeth’s smile twitched.

"You might be the first..." she whispered.

"But you won’t necessarily be the favorite."

"And I will be."

"Not with still standing," Sophie replied sharply, her crimson eyes shining.

The two locked eyes, invisible sparks crackling between them.

After a few tense seconds—

"Fine," Elizabeth said lightly.

"Just don’t cry when I win."

Sophie chuckled coldly.

"Noah told once."

"All is fair in love and war."

"So don’t expect to play fair either."

Sophie walked ahead, determination burning inside her.

Elizabeth followed, unwilling to fall behind.

A silent war had begun between them.

A war for Noah’s heart.

...

At that sa mont—

Inside the grand church.

In the private office of Solaris, the Saintess.

She worked tirelessly, going through piles of docunts, preparing for the bomb she would drop tomorrow.

Everything had to be perfect.

The Royal Family would be plunged into the deepest pit.

And the Campbell family—

"They’re useless now," Solaris muttered, her eyes icy.

"If anyone finds out about our deal..."

Her gaze hardened.

"I’ll silence them before they ruin ."

She picked up her pen to write another order—

But then—

Pop—!

Two figures appeared behind her, like ghosts.

Noah and Elira.

Noah grinned wickedly.

"Peekaboo~!"

Solaris’s eyes widened in shock and horror.

Before she could even act—

Elira snapped her fingers.

Snap—!

Solaris disappeared—kidnapped without a trace.

The office fell silent.

Only a faint giggle from Noah remained.
