Chapter 895 – Restraint
He was choosing restraint.
Ariel’s chest tightened painfully at that realization.
And Lux?
Lux smiled faintly like he already knew exactly what she was thinking.
Which honestly should’ve been illegal.
Ariel’s shoulders visibly relaxed.
"I’ll be back," she whispered.
Lux nodded once.
And let her go.
Ariel stood carefully from his lap, still flushed from head to toe. Her satin dress clung softly to her figure while she tried very hard to walk normally toward the hallway.
Yeah.
Tried.
Because she absolutely almost walked into a table.
Lux watched her go with a hand over his mouth, fighting laughter.
Cute.
So cute.
The mont Ariel disappeared toward the restroom.
Sira appeared beside him like an evil thought manifested physically.
"You let her go?"
Lux didn’t even flinch anymore.
At this point, Sira appearing randomly beside furniture was just part of life.
"For the ti being," he answered calmly.
Sira sat beside him, crimson lingerie and smugness radiating equally.
"And you aren’t mad?"
Lux looked genuinely confused.
"I’m not narcissistic."
Sira snorted softly.
Lux leaned back deeper into the couch.
"I can handle refusal calmly. Hell, it wasn’t even a real refusal." A pause. "Besides... it aligns with my logic."
Sira studied him quietly now.
Actually studied him.
Because underneath the joking tone, she understood exactly what happened here.
Lux wanted Ariel.
Badly.
Sira could sll it all over him.
But he stopped himself anyway.
Not because he lacked confidence.
Because he cared.
Dangerous man.
Dangerously soft man pretending to be entirely driven by greed.
Sira’s lips curved slightly.
"You’re getting worse."
Lux sighed dramatically.
"Thank you."
"That wasn’t a complint."
"It sounded affectionate."
Sira rolled her eyes, though amusent still lingered there.
Then she leaned closer slightly, voice lowering.
"You know she’s already dood, right? She is craving for you."
Lux rubbed his temple.
"Please don’t say it like that."
"She confessed first and she gave you—" She imdiately made an exaggerated gesture with one hand pumping near her mouth while her tongue pressed against her cheek in the most shaless imitation possible.
Lux closed his eyes briefly.
"When you say it out loud, it sounds way more insane."
Sira burst out laughing instantly.
"I didn’t say it out loud," she argued between laughs. "I only mimicked it."
"That’s the sa thing."
"No, no. One is verbal. One is educational."
Lux stared at her with deep disappointnt.
"You weaponize semantics too much."
"And yet you still keep around."
Unfortunately, true.
Sira dropped dramatically beside him on the couch, still grinning like a woman monts away from making terrible decisions recreationally. Her perfu drifted around him imdiately, warm spice and Pride magic mixed with wine.
Then she leaned closer.
"What?" she purred. "Irritated?"
Lux took another sip of wine calmly.
"No."
"Tempted?"
"No."
"Wanna settle it with ?"
Lux finally looked at her.
Long.
Flat.
"Sira."
"What?"
"We still have guests."
Sira waved dismissively. "Only Ariel and Fiera."
"She’s still upstairs."
"Exactly."
Lux narrowed his eyes.
"You an she’s still choosing lingerie."
Sira looked genuinely proud.
"Yeah. She’s in a dilemma between ’cute fox girl’ and ’financially irresponsible woman.’"
Lux groaned softly into his wine.
"This party beca a hostage situation sowhere along the way."
Sira ignored him completely and stretched lazily against the couch, transparent crimson fabric shifting against her skin in ways Lux deliberately refused to analyze too closely for his own survival.
Which was difficult.
Because Pride’s daughter dressed like she personally declared war against restraint.
Lux sighed.
"Anyway..." His gaze shifted toward the hallway Ariel disappeared into earlier. "Ariel ntioned sothing about a plan."
Sira’s smile widened imdiately.
Dangerous sign.
"What kind of plan?"
"Oh?" Sira crossed one leg slowly. "Nervous?"
"I know you people."
"That’s fair."
Lux pointed at her.
"And when you all cooperate together it becos worse."
"That’s also fair."
A pause.
Then Lux deadpanned.
"Are you planning an orgy?"
Sira blinked once.
Then burst into laughter so hard she nearly folded sideways.
"Not just an orgy."
Lux stared at her.
"...That wording helped absolutely nothing."
Sira moved closer instead, eyes glittering with amusent.
"It’s supposed to be fun for you."
"That sentence sounds suspicious already."
"You have the Lust Primordial Sin inside you now." She poked his chest lightly. "So I figured maybe you should stop acting like a stressed-out Greed executive twenty-four hours a day."
Lux looked offended.
"I relax."
"You relax?" Sira deadpanned. "You drink juice in a pool while watching the king’s speech and clarification."
Lux pointed at her imdiately.
"That was self-care."
"No, it doesn’t."
She gestured broadly around the mansion.
"This isn’t a business eting, Lux."
The music pulsed softly in the background.
Warm lights.
Wine.
Lingerie.
Dangerously affectionate chaos.
And Lux sitting there half dressed looking like luxury temptation accidentally beca emotionally available.
Sira smiled slowly.
"So yeah. Lingeries." Her gaze drifted deliberately downward. "And you’re our entertainnt."
Lux followed her eyes.
"Sira."
"What?" she asked innocently. "I’m curious."
"That sentence alone is terrifying."
She leaned forward slightly. Hand touched his bulge.
"I want to know how many loads this thing can produce."
Lux scoffed quietly, though his face still felt warm from the sheer shalessness radiating off her.
Then suddenly, Sira moved.
Smooth.
Confident.
One second beside him.
Next second straddling his lap effortlessly.
Lux blinked once.
Because wow okay.
The transparent crimson lingerie from this angle was absolutely criminal.
Her thighs rested against either side of him while her hands settled around the back of his neck lazily, fingers brushing his skin.
And yeah.
From this position?
His eyes were unfortunately level with her chest.
Wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful.
Sira noticed imdiately.
"That focused, hm?"
Lux pointed upward vaguely without moving his gaze.
"You dressed like temptation."
"And yet you’re still pretending to resist."
Fair.
Very fair.
Sira leaned closer until her lips nearly brushed his ear.
"You can get stronger by doing this."
Lux exhaled softly.
"I know."
That was the annoying part.
The Lust Primordial Sin inside him reacted violently to intimacy, pleasure, emotional connection. Every kiss. Every touch. Every surrender fed power into his core like fuel poured into infernal fire.
He could feel it already.
That warm pressure inside him growing heavier.
Dangerously addictive.
