Kai was stunned when he saw the girl standing in front of him. The girl has long blue hair, big breast, and give a cold stare. She was wearing the sa uniform as the female students here. She also looked younger than before.
"How's your first day in this trashy harem world, Bakachin?" she whispered, her voice dripping with mockery.
Kai's jaw dropped. "Wait, you're—no way—you're the Goddess of Love?!"
"Bingo. Took you long enough, side character."
Kai's eye twitched. "Side character? Hey, I'm the protagonist of my own life! And another thing—get out of this stupid world right now!"
His hands shot out, grabbing her collar. But before he could shake any divine answers out of her, Haruto, the golden boy, the harem protagonist, swooped in like the hero he thought he was.
"Whoa, Bakachin, that's not cool!" Haruto scolded, prying Kai's hands off Ai. "How could you grab a girl like that? Seriously, apologize!"
Kai's frustration boiled over. "You idiot protagonist! That's not just a girl—she's the freaking Goddess of Love! She created this world, you, and your stupid perfect hair!"
The entire class fell silent. Then, Haruto burst out laughing, a sound so rich and contagious that everyone joined in.
"Huh?" Kai blinked, utterly lost.
"Bakachin, what are you even talking about?" Haruto chuckled, patting him on the back. "Kamiyama Ai is just a cosplayer. She probably dressed as a goddess before. It's not that deep."
Ai chid in, batting her eyelashes innocently. "That's right. I cosplayed as the Goddess of Love at an event. Maybe Bakachin's been daydreaming about ever since. How cute~"
Kai's face turned red—not from embarrassnt, but from pure, unfiltered rage. This wasn't just gaslighting; this was divine-level trolling.
Aya, the class beauty and Haruto's childhood friend, leaned closer to Kai. Her soft brown eyes blinked in curiosity. "Bakachin, since when did you start joking with Ai? You usually ignore her."
"I...uh..." Kai stamred, caught off guard. When did this turn into a cross-examination?
Before he could co up with an excuse, Ai shot him a glare so sharp it could cut steel. She raised her hand subtly, showing him her middle finger, and mouthed, "et on the roof at lunch, loser."
Kai returned the gesture with a smirk. "Oh, don't worry, Goddess. I've got plenty to say to you too."
...
Kai stord onto the rooftop, dragging Ai by the wrist. The class had cheered him on, thinking he was about to confess his undying love. If only they knew.
"Alright, spill it!" Kai barked, pinning Ai near the railing. "Why are you here? Why are you disguised like this? Wait—don't tell . You just want to watch suffer, don't you?"
Ai raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Oh, please. As if I'd waste my divine ti on you."
"Divine ti?!" Kai exploded. "You dropped into this hellhole of a harem, gave so stupid quest, and now you're my classmate? Are you trying to ruin my life?"
Ai's face twisted in anger. "Ruin your life?!" She shoved Kai back, her voice trembling. "I was punished for YOU! The heavens exiled for interfering with your pathetic mortal existence! I can't go back until you finish all your quests and build a harem!"
Kai blinked, processing her words. Then, his lips curled into a wicked grin. "You're stuck here? HA! That's rich. You deserve it!"
Ai's eyes widened in shock. "What did you just say?"
"You heard !" Kai doubled down. "This is karma for dragging into your dumpster-fire world. You're a dumb goddess from a dumb harem, and I'm glad you're suffering!"
Ai's fists clenched at her sides. Her anger shifted into sothing darker, sothing dangerously calm. "You really want to go there, huh?"
"Yeah, I do!" Kai smirked, feeling victorious. "What are you gonna do? Cry about it? Hit with so weak divine—"
Before he could finish, Ai's fist collided with his face.
"GODDESS PUNCH!"
The impact sent him flying across the rooftop. He hit the ground with a loud thud.
"What the hell?!" Kai groaned, clutching his face. "Since when does the Goddess of Love know how to box?!"
Ai lood over him, cracking her knuckles. "Oh, I've still got so divine power left, Bakachin. And I'm not afraid to use it."
Kai scrambled to his feet, blood boiling. "Alright, fine! If you want to fight, let's fight! But let warn you—I believe in gender equality, so don't expect to hold back!"
He ripped off his shirt, revealing surprisingly toned muscles. "Back in middle school, they called the Conqueror of the East!"
Kai poses like Bruce Lee, trying to intimidate her.
Ai didn't flinch. "Yeah, well, I call you the Idiot of the Century." She cracked her neck. "Now, shut up and take your punishnt."
"You need to know that I HATE YOU Goddess of Love, Kamiyama Ai or whatever you beco, I really hate you! So, bring it on! I'm not afraid of—"
"Goddess Punch x100!"
BAM!
Kai's vision beca blurry, he didn't have ti to react and suddenly he was lying there while being beaten brutally.
"The Conqueror of the East my ass! you just a damn otaku!"
Those were the last words Kai heard.
Kai was unconscious. He felt like he was in a dark and empty room.
Suddenly, in that silence, a notification appeared in front of him.
[You have died.]
[Returning to checkpoint.]
...
...
Suddenly, Kai found himself back in his classroom, seated at his desk, staring blankly ahead. His mind reeled, struggling to process what had just happened. Did I... just die? Beaten to death by that goddess?!
Before he could make sense of it, he heard a familiar, mocking voice.
"You better get started, Bakachin."
Kai whipped around to see the Goddess of Love, now disguised as Kamiyama Ai, sitting in front of him. She wore a cold smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
He recognized this mont imdiately—it was right before he grabbed her collar and Haruto intervened. The realization hit him like a truck. Why am I back here? Why is this happening again?
Ai leaned closer, whispering, "Welco back, Bakachin~"
"This is what happens when you defy . How does it feel to die once, hmm?"
"You... you killed !" Kai hissed.
"Yeah, and I'd do it again." Ai leaned closer, her tone dropping to a dangerous whisper. "But don't worry—I gave you a little gift: Unlimited Checkpoint. Every ti you die, you'll respawn at a random point in your miserable life."
Kai stared at her in horror. "You're insane."
"Now stop whining and get to work on your quest, you pathetic side character!" She smirked, straightened her posture, and calmly returned to her seat, acting as though nothing had happened.
Kai sat frozen in place, unable to respond. Beads of cold sweat ran down his face. For the first ti in his life, he felt genuine fear—not from death, but from the cruel, infinite cycle the goddess had condemned him to.
Amidst his panic, he felt a small, warm hand gently touch his forehead. The softness of it snapped him out of his spiraling thoughts.
"Bakachin, are you sure you're okay? You look pale." Aya touched his forehead gently.
"I'm fine," Kai muttered, his face turned red.
"Really??" Aya innocently pressed her forehead against Kai's. She wanted to check Kai's body temperature more clearly.
That surprised Kai, he never thought he would press his forehead against a girl. Kai's heart was beating fast. He couldn't move.
"Hmm I think you have a little fever, Bakachin." Aya said that with her forehead still pressed against his.
Kai's face turned red. But there was one more thing that surprised Kai. He could see Aya's cleavage. The size of her chest looked normal, the size was just right, not too big, it was the ideal size that could be held perfectly.
Seeing Aya's chest, Kai lost focus and imdiately removed his forehead from Aya.
"Really I'm fine!" Kai said that looking embarrassed.
As Aya smiled softly, suddenly a notification appeared in front of him containing sothing unexpected.
Kai was seen smiling a little.
