Chapter 79: Military Camp

Lukas was currently driving towards the military camp.

They had stayed one more day in their house before moving after Lillian woke up.

Catherine and Lillian were sitting like last ti while the others were inside the dinsion which was filled with everything, from food to all the essential things inside their house.

The storage room in the dinsion was even better than fridges of the modern world, so there was no need for electricity inside the castle.

They would stay there for a week before he would find a hidden place for them to co out for a day.

For the ti being he would see how a real shelter was working inside this apocalypse. This military shelter might be one of the few safest shelters in the whole world after all.

They were just a few kilotres away from the camp right now and had just passed the sa place where he t that group of evolvers.

"I wonder how others are doing right now.." Lillian spoke while rembering mbers of her previous group.

Her voice was still timid but she had opened up slightly.

" too.." Catherine sighed. She had thought that they had been separated for good but who knew that they would et again.

Lukas did not comnt on anything and kept driving calmly. Soon a sign board of warning about the military area appeared on the road before they finally saw the boundary of the military base.

It was spread over a pretty big area, having a lot of hangars, shooting ranges, garages, and living compartnts. It really was like a village in its own right.

He had a feeling that those who took over the military base were already present here from the start and since they were veterans, they were easily able to handle the outbreaks inside the base and made a safe camp out of it.

He drove the car to the main gate which was very wide with a large empty area in front of it before the highway.

No guards were standing outside but on the top wall there were a few n strolling and they all looked towards the car with interest.

Lukas ca out and one of the n spoke imdiately. "You must be the guy whom Leah and her team t few days ago right?"

Lukas did not know the na of the woman but he nodded as from the description it seed like the man was talking about him. "Yes, so of the survivors from our camp had co here previously.."

Another man nodded his head. "You guys really were lucky to survive.. Leah said that you would bring another group of people. Where are they?"

Lukas shook his head. "They decided to not co here for ti being. They have trust issues.. In the end I had to leave them be.."

"Ahh, foolishness." The man sighed. "This place is the best chance of survival in this dangerous world.."

"Was there any evolvers in their group?" Another man spoke.

Lukas nodded. "Yes, there was one.."

"Oh well, that is a loss.." The man shook his head.

Evolvers were too much important right now. They were the best chance for humanity to survive.

"Leave them be.. you co inside. It is not safe beyond these walls. There is a level 4 zombie sowhere near here and that motherfucker is quite intelligent.." The first man to speak said and opened the gate.

Lukas nodded. "Thank you for your hospitality.."

"Heh.. brother, you are an evolver. Once you co inside, your position would be above us re guards. It should be us thanking you for coming here.." The man smiled.

Lukas gave a short smile too but did not say anything back. He went to the car and drove inside.

There was a long road going deeper into the base and only a few small buildings were near the main gate.

Once the gate closed, one of the n ca down and picked a motorcycle and gestured for Lukas to follow.

Lukas did so and soon they ca to the main area which consisted of headquarters and living dorms.

Lukas could already see a lot of people working here and there.

When his car passed them, they all looked at it curiously, just like how Lillian was looking at everything.

The man on the motorcycle stopped in front of the main building and pointed towards a parking lot.

Lukas stopped the vehicle in the designated place before looking at Catherine. "Let us go.."

Lukas ca out and Catherine and Lillian followed.

The man was a little surprised looking at Catherine before averting his eyes to not make it too obvious.

It did not go unnoticed by Lukas. He had expected things like this happening a lot.

In an apocalyptic world where you are filled with stress and do not know when you will die, it is easy to feel the desire to relieve stress in the form of pleasure.

He had no doubt the n and even the won were very open-minded here unless they were like the won he knew till now.

Well, it would be good if it was true, since he could get so quality ti while filling his LP here. Not to ntion he did not have to commit to take care of them.

That was the last thing he wanted to do right now, unless he really fell for so woman’s beauty.

’Given my standards, it would not be possible anyway..’

He was not wrong in thinking that as he had been living with his angelic sister for a long ti now and his current won were all imnsely beautiful.

"Please co inside. I heard that most of the evolvers had gathered to discuss a plan to kill that level 4 zombie.." The man said respectfully.

Lukas nodded. "Alright, lead the way.."

It was good that most of them were here. He could see all of them here and if possible even showcase his strength a little to make them not look towards things belonging to him or the level 4 zombie would be the least of their worries.

As they began walking, the man suddenly stopped and spoke with a slow tone as he did not want to irk them.

"Only evolvers are allowed inside this building.."
