Once we made it back to the Great Tree, my group had gotten more imnse thanks to Alfredo and his new gang of minions. He had found three cats and two dogs so far, and I changed them to be like Alfredo but slightly smaller for pecking order.
"Follow behind us, but send the others out to look for more survivors, Alfredo. Girls, co with ; the others are upfront by the entrance," I said, pointing to my apartnt building entrance that people were slowly funneling into.
The girls nodded and followed along as everyone parted for , staring at the massive white cat following us. Alfredo would put a horse to sha pound for pound and would intimidate anyone that looked at him.
Unless you were lody, who ran past when we got closer. I had my arms out, thinking she was running to , but she sped past and latched on to Alfredo.
Sofia sighed and looked at .
"So, I would assu that this is one of the won?" Sofia asked, and I nodded with a smile as I walked past her.
"What do you think of Alfredo? He is our new guard cat," I said as I walked over to lody, who was still hugging the large white cat.
"Really? Do we get to keep him?! Can he sleep in my room too?!" lody exclaid with fire in her eyes, but I shook my head.
"No, he has a very important job. Alfredo is going to be in charge of the Paw Patrol-" I said but was cut off.
"Oh my god! That's so friggin cute!" lody squealed, making everyone look at us more than they already were.
"-That will be in charge of search and rescue. They will also be watching over areas around us, so people don't attack," I explained, but lody was on another page.
"You an that there are more of them?! Dan, you can't do this to ! I think I might die of a cuteness overload if I see them all in one place. I can see now passing away, surrounded by giant stuffies smothering in cuteness!" lody exclaid, but I scooped her up and kissed her to shut her up, and started walking forward to the entrance again.
"Just wait a bit before you have your cuteness overload, okay? We need to get the people moving and make it easier for everyone to get up faster," I said, but lody wasn't even paying attention.
"Marley, why are you standing behind the strange-looking doctor lady?" lody asked with suspicion in her voice, but I just kept walking.
"Leave her be; we can talk about this after I get everyone moving and we are up top, got it? Or you'll be over my knee next!" I threatened, but lody looked up at with eager eyes.
"You promise?" She asked, putting her hands together, and I rolled my eyes.
I kept walking, but lody started to frown at , but her eyes lit up as I rolled in my arms.
"Was soone a bad girl? Did Dan have to, ouch!" lody cried as I pinched her soft curvy ass.
"You are not a very good listener," I said to lody as she squird around in my arms to glare at .
I ignored her and concentrated on the Great Tree that grew up from my old apartnt building.
From what I could feel without touching, we had enough rooms for twenty tis the people here. The problem was going to be the walk up the winding stairs I had created.
I set lody down as Katie, Anya, and Amy ca over to as I reached the side of the tree. They all looked thrilled to see , but I wanted to save the reunion for when we were in my new ho.
"Hey girls, looks like this is going to take too long," I said, but Amy was the one that ran over to hug , tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked, not sure where she was getting emotional; then I rember I left her in the tree after getting swatted out.
"I heard you yell and rushed back to where you were, and you were gone! I didn't know what happened to you, and the tree wouldn't let co down until I had cald down!" Amy cried, and I wrapped her in a hug with one arm, patting the tree with the other, silently thanking it.
"Don't worry too much about ," I am just glad that Mr. Tree kept you from coming out to try and find ," I said, and Amy pulled away from , blushing.
I smiled and walked over to give Anya and Katie both a kiss, but I could see Victoria lurking in the background. She was the one that had kissed , and now she was just going to play angry looking stalker.
Turning away from the girls, I walked over and placed both hands on the tree. It would be much easier for to achieve success this ti around since I have more tools at my disposal.
I started by widening the entrance, making people scream and run in fear, rightfully so. I was tearing the brick building apart, but Mr. Tree made sure nothing fell.
Next, I grassed all the way up and had it start acting as a conveyor belt, smoothing out the stairs as it grew. A railing ford on either side made from a root that would constantly grow at the sa speed that the grass pushed people along.
There were more screams from everyone inside all the way up the tree, but it had to be done. This would make it easy for everyone after their trip just getting here, and it would be helpful for moving things up.
I took my hands off the tree and turned back to the girls who were gathered around , with Alfredo and Kitsune standing behind lody. It was quite the group, but now I had to address the crowd.
