C9 – Kick Him
The local youth watched Qi Ning’s movents without a hint of surprise.
With a sly grin, he glanced at his buddy and sneered, “So, you’re thinking of putting up a fight?”
His friend mirrored the sa amused look.
“Go ahead, fight back. It wouldn’t be any fun otherwise.”
“How about a bet on how long he can hold out?”
“I give him a minute. If he lasts that long, I’ll lay off him.”
The youth and his friend were joking around, a short distance from Qi Ning.
Clearly, they saw Qi Ning as nothing more than a fish on the chopping block.
Just a minute or even 20 seconds earlier, Qi Ning was indeed at their rcy.
But now, with his newfound skill, it wasn’t so clear who the fish on the chopping block was.
“If only I had two AFK points,” Qi Ning lanted.
The disparity between a Lv 1 skill and a Level 999 skill was imnse.
Qi Ning stood his ground, a newfound resolve in his eyes.
The streetwise youth could sense sothing different about Qi Ning, but backing down now would only lead to ridicule later on.
Cursing, the youth charged at Qi Ning.
Qi Ning was taken aback, his mind unexpectedly serene in that mont.
Had this been before, he would have been in a panic.
“It seems I’ve not only picked up so fighting techniques but the fighter’s mindset as well!”
As Qi Ning reflected, the youth was already upon him, swinging a punch at Qi Ning’s face.
Qi Ning smiled and instinctively, his right leg shot out in a kick.
His attack wasn’t swift, but it was executed with textbook precision. Anyone trained in fighting would recognize Qi Ning’s skill.
The youth’s arm took the brunt of the kick, causing him to stumble from the force.
He looked at Qi Ning, his face a mix of shock and embarrassnt.
“You dare to fight back!” he yelled, infuriated.
“Don’t just stand there! Help out,” he barked at his friends behind him.
Qi Ning’s actions left his companions gaping in shock.
At the young man’s shout, they snapped to attention and hurried toward Qi Ning.
As the young man called out, Qi Ning delivered another swift, powerful kick.
The assault was quicker and more forceful than before.
The young man’s feet slid out from under him.
He crashed to the ground.
His companions froze, uncertain, and turned their gaze to the young man.
Fuming with embarrassnt and rage, the young man bellowed, “Get moving! Don’t just stand there!”
