Xin i couldn't control her tears which were following from her eyes. Her heart was feeling heavy at the thought she wouldn't be able to see the faces of her family mber whenever she wanted.
Su Yuchen felt a pinch in his heart when he saw the red eyes of Xin i. She was continuously sobbing. He wanted to console her but didn't know how.
"Stop crying Xin i, you can visit your family whenever you want. I am not going to lock you in my house." He tried to joke and placed his arm around her shoulder.
"Stop crying like a baby. Your father will castrate if he gets the wind that you are crying. Then how do you plan to have a baby with ?"
His voice was childish and full of humour which made Xin i smile.
"Don't degrade my father like this. He will not do such a thing to you. I can see that he already sees you as his son."
"Always keep smiling like this." He placed his finger below her smiling lips. He removed her tears with gentleness. "I promise to treat you so well that you will rarely miss your family."
Xin i gave him a small smile and looked down at his finger which was lingering on her lips. Su Yuchen smiled before removing his finger from her lips.
"Now wife, get ready to et my grandma as her granddaughter in law. I am sure she is going to be excited to et you."
Xin i looked at him with wide eyes and nodded her head. She started to feel anxious at the prospect of eting his grandmother. Sure she had t her before but now the conditions were different.
When they entered the hospital room, as expected Bai Yue was very excited upon seeing them. She had ordered them to pull out their marriage certificates. She grinned from ears to ears when she saw their wedding photos.
"Tian, aren't both of them looking good together? They are looking so beautiful." Bai Yue grinned and showed the marriage certificate to her husband. Su Lingtian smiled and looked at his wife with a dotting smile.
"Yes wife, they are looking beautiful couple just like us."
Xin i saw the look in the eyes of Su Lingtian. He was looking at Bai Yue with so much love. It was like his world revolved around her. She also wished for a happy married life like them.
"Xin i, co here, let grandma gift you for fulfilling her last wish. Now I can die without any worry for my Chen."
Upon hearing Bai Yue, everyone protested one after another.
"Wife, I have told you so many tis to stop thinking about your death. You have a long life. We still have many things to do together."
"Grandma, nothing is going to happen to you. Stop thinking about worse. You still have a long life. You have seen married but still you have to marry your second grandson, not only that, don't you want to play with your great-grandchildren?"
"Grandma, you will be living a long life. I have talked with trust and they are searching for a heart for you."
"Ok, I am living a long life." Bai Yue raised her hand in surrender. "Stop looking at like this. Now co here Xin i, let hug my granddaughter in law."
Bai Yue pulled Xin i toward herself. Xin i sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Bai Yue. Bai Yue smiled when she looked at Xin i. She took off her ring and gave it to Xin i.
"Xin i, this ring is very special to grandma. I have worn it for nearly fifty years and now it belongs to you."
Bai Yue placed the ring in the palm of Xin i. She closed her palm. Xin i tried to protest but Bai Yue glared at her.
"It's a gift from grandma. I am not in a condition to buy so new gift for you so accept this gift for the anti."
The ring in her hand was very costly. Xin i could say so within a single glance at the ring. She was about to protest when Su Yuchen placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Keep it, Xin i. If not you then to whom will she give her precious things? Take it as a blessing from grandma."
Xin i looked at him and nodded her head. She put the ring in her finger and smiled to Bai Yue. She also smiled and took the hand of Xin i in her hands.
"This ring looks good on your finger." Her eyes shone with delight. She then turned and looked at Su Yuchen. "Chen'er, you have gotten the marriage certificate but when are you planning to give her the wedding ring? Don't tell you forget about it."
Bai Yue looked at her grandson with accusing gazes.
"I haven't forgotten grandma. I have already ordered the jeweller and they are making the best wedding rings for us. It will take so ti."
Bai Yue smiled with satisfaction and nodded her head. She then again looked at Xin i.
"Xin i, I know you weren't ready for this marriage but now that you are married, please take care of my Chen. There are a lot of things which bugs him but he doesn't share about it with us. I hope you will be able to get out those secrets from him. Be a life partner for him."
Bai Yue looked at Xin i with hopeful eyes. She was waiting for Xin i to ensure her that she was here for her grandchild.
"Don't worry grandma. I will always look after Su Yuchen. I will try to beco the best wife for him."
Bai Yue smiled and poked her husband. "Husband, give the box which I have asked you to retrieve from the locker."
Su Lingtian nodded his head and gave a jewellery box to his wife.
"Xin i, I will not be like the nagging grandma who asks for a grandson from her daughter in law, the mont she ets her. I know you are young and have a career. But I am sure one day you will have a baby and for him or her, I want to give you this."
Bai Yue pulled the hand of Xin i and placed a box in her hand.
"In it, there is a bracelet. I had it made before the birth of Chen'er. Because of so unforeseen conditions, I couldn't give it to her mother during his birth. Now I am giving it to you, I hope you will make your child wear it."
"Thank you for this grandma. I will keep it safe and when Su Yuchen and I have a baby, I will make him wear it."
Xin i secured the jewellery box in her hand.
Su Yuchen and Xin i stayed in the hospital for a long ti. They kept hearing to Bai Yue who was giving a lot of tips to the married couple.
All this while, Xin i couldn't help herself from admiring the love of Su Lingtian toward Bai Yue. He was always by her side.
While talking, Bai Yue had coughed hard. Su Lingtian had scolded her and had rubbed her back. The fear in his eyes wasn't hidden from the eyes of Xin i. She could see the pain in his eyes whenever Bai Yue talked about her death.
During dinner, Su Lingtian fed Bai Yue who acted like a pampered baby. Xin i liked the way Su Lingtian dotted on his wife.
"Wife, one day we will be also like them. I promise I will also dot on you the way grandfather had dotted on grandmother for fifty and more years. Our grandchildren and then great-grandchildren will speak off about our love story."
Su Yuchen wrapped his arm around the shoulder of Xin i and pulled her closer. Xin i looked in his eyes and found them full of sincerity.
A small smile left from her lips and she couldn't help herself from imagining her bright future with Su Yuchen.
