"Aunty what is this photo doing in your house?" Xin i entered the kitchen and directly put forth the question in front of her, without playing around the bushes.
Gu Biyu gasped and quickly pulled the photo from her hand.
"Aunty, you didn't answer . What is a teenage photo of my husband, Su Yuchen doing at your ho?" She again asked. "I always thought that you were extra close to . I never doubted you but this photo...."
"Xin i." Gu Biyu sighed and looked sad. "Can we talk outside, over a cup of tea. I am sure it will not be easy for to tell you what his photo is doing at my place."
Gu Biyu took a long deep breath. The sadness appeared on her face. She also looked guilty of sothing. She looked in pain that finally her secret was disclosed.
Both ladies walked towards the living room and took their seats on the couch. A cup of hot tea was there in their hands.
"So?" Xin i questioned.
"Su Yuchen is my son."
Xin i broke down in chuckles when she heard her. "I am sorry. I think I heard you wrong. Because, from what I know, his mother is dead."
"I am not his biological mother but his stepmother, second wife of his father." The seriousness and truth in her voice brought a pause to the laughter of Xin i.
She looked at Gu Biyu with wide eyes. "I know you must have many questions in your mind. If I am correct, then Su Yuchen has never told you anything about ."
Xin i negatively shook her head and took a sip of her tea. Gu Biyu sighed and closed her eyes.
"Su Yuchen thinks that his father threw his mother out of his house in order to marry , but it is not the truth. You may not trust but, Mister Su Lingtian, grand-father of Su Yuchen was the one who send her away."
"You are lying." Xin i shook her head, not believing her.
"Told you, you will not trust ." Gu Biyu chuckled. "Father and mother, both were shrewd business persons. They knew how to handle business for their benefits. They could do anything for business."
"My husband was not a great business person. He had brought many losses to the Su corporation which was not in the liking of father and mother. That was when, my father offered Mister Su with the needed financial help. But only if I got married to Su Nian, father of Su Yuchen."
"Elder Su needed money, hence he agreed to the offer. He asked the mother of Su Yuchen to leave the house. We still were unaware of the baby in her belly."
Xin i looked at Gu Biyu, not believing her words. But she kept mum for the sake of ti which she had spent in the company of Gu Biyu.
"If you do not believe , then go and ask elder Su. He threw out the mother of Su Yuchen for the sake of money. He was a businessperson first and he was ready to do any cri to get the money. First, he threw away the mother of Su Yuchen and then ."
Gu Biyu looked down and laughed. Her laugh was without any emotion.
"I had spent a major part of my life in states. So, when I was married to Su Nian, I was still unaware that he was already married, I was his second wife. Being silly, I fell in love with him, I loved him badly and was ready to do anything for him. His business beca my priority and I worked very hard for it."
So tears slipped out from the eyes of Gu Biyu and Xin i felt bad for her. She was forced to believe her words seeing her serious expression. Besides, she had already heard from Su Yuchen how shrewd his grandparents were. How they had made Su corporations from the ground.
"I was barren. I could not have a child. So, when father brought Su Yuchen to ho, I felt all the motherly love with him. He was already fifteen but still, I wanted to give my love to him."
"I wanted to love him but he hated , I was a stepmother after all." Gu Biyu chuckled. "Besides, father had lied to him that I was the reason that his mother left the house. Father was a perfect liar. No one could catch the lie in his words and stories told by him."
Viciousness and hate flashed in the eyes of Gu Biyu. "I borne all the hatred of Su Yuchen only to be thrown out of the house. Su Yuchen did not want to stay at the mansion. So, father and mother threw away. They wanted Su Yuchen, the next heir of their business, not who was getting old."
Gu Biyu covered her face and started to sob. Tears filled in her eyes and her body started to shake.
"I love that family so much. I thought I found a son in the form of Su Yuchen but everything was snatched away from . Why didn't I deserve any happiness? Why?"
Xin i felt bad for her and walked towards her. She gently patted on her back.
"Accidently, I saw you with Su Yuchen. That day, I felt so happy. I felt happy that he found soone like you as his wife. I got closer to you so I can know about your husband. Frankly, I have so n reporting to on how my baby is doing but getting to know about him from you made more satisfied."
"You love Chen, don't you?"
"I do." She sobbed and looked down.
Xin i looked down at the crying won. She could not believe Su Lingtian and Bai Yue were hiding such a big thing from Su Yuchen. He lost the right to get the love of his parents because of the selfishness and greed of his grandparents.
Xin i had already seen Gu Biyu visiting the temple to pray for her child. She had seen her talk about her baby and motherly love. So, she was forced to believe that Gu Biyu loved Su Yuchen.
Besides, after eting her for so many tis, Xin i did not find it in herself to not believe the words of Gu Biyu.
