Xin i looked at Su Yuchen and the file in his hand. Su Yuchen was twisting and turning the file from the ti he had returned after having the dinner with Song Yang, but he was not opening it, to look at its content.
"Su Yuchen, either you place this file aside or open it and get done with it." Xin i spoke with irritation in her voice. "What does this file contains?"
Su Yuchen released a deep, sharp breath when he heard her. "i, yesterday, Song Daiyu had confessed that she was the reason that I failed to find the information about Mian. Uncle was the one who had hidden all the information about her. And today, when I t with uncle, he gave this file."
Su Yuchen lifted the said file. "This file has information about Mian. I do not know if I should open this file and look in its content or not. I have already given up on Mian and now I don't want to drag her back in my life by looking at the content in this file."
Xin i could understand the turmoil in his heart. He was afraid that maybe he would divert his focus on Mian, ignoring Xin i in the process.
Xin i placed her hand on his arm and squeezed it tight. "I trust you, Chen. I know Mian will never co in between us. In my opinion, you should open this file. I know that Mian has an important place in your life and you will like to et her for once."
Su Yuchen sighed and looked at the file. A small smile appeared on his lips.
Xin i knew him so well!
"Let look into this file for you." Xin i snatched the said file from his hand and opened it. She started to go through the contents.
"Your Mian was so cute." Xin i praised Mian when she saw her photo in which she was only five years old.
Su Yuchen snatched the file from the hand of Xin i. A gentle smiled appeared on his lips when he looked at the photo. Longingness appeared in his eyes and he placed his hand over the photo.
Xin i could see tears at the brim of eyes.
Su Yuchen felt emotional when he looked at the clear image of Mian. Looking at the photo, he rembered all those childhood mories. His love for his Mian.
He rembered the ti when this photo was taken. How badly Mian had thrown the tantrum. Thinking about that mory, a chuckle left his lips.
"You know i, Mian did not like her photos to be taken. She was kind of photophobic. We both had a fight before I forced her to take this photo. You can see she is still pouting in this photo."
Xin i smiled when she heard him. Again, a trace of jealousy filled her heart. She knew Su Yuchen had a special place for Mian which could not be taken by anyone.
"Let see, what more this file contains."
Xin i snatched the file from his hand and started to go through the contents. The file contained each information about Mian from the ti she was taken under the wings of the orphanage.
Her schooling!
Her interest!
Everything!
Xin i was amused when she saw Mian had won many dals at a tender age of eight for swimming.
"She was also a natural swimr like you." Su Yuchen nudged her cheeks. "I still rember how a five-year-old Mian had shocked everyone with her swimming skills."
Xin i nodded her head and continued to flip the pages. She furrowed when the content of the file stopped when Mian was nine. Her eyes widened when she read a rough note.
"Mian went missing on 22nd March 200k." she read the note out loud and looked at Su Yuchen.
Su Yuchen snatched the file from her hand. He read the note and a small smile appeared on his lips and tears filled in his eyes.
"Mian can be alive. She did not die in that fire." He spoke to himself but Xin i heard him. She smiled and squeezed his shoulder. A smile was also on her lips.
"i, this date," he took a deep breath. "Grandpa and grandma ca to take on 31st January 200k. Maybe Main ran away from the orphanage that now I was not there. She was not in the fire. Maybe so good family adopted her. Maybe she is still alive."
Su Yuchen smiled brightly and looked at the note. "This is the information about which I was searching for from so many years. Finally, I found a ray of hope that she maybe alive."
Su Yuchen smiled over his tears. He placed his head on her shoulder. Xin i lovingly massaged his head.
"I am happy for you, Chen. I am sure, we will be able to find her. Now you know she went missing on 22nd March. Using this data, we may be able to get so clues about her whereabouts."
Su Yuchen eagerly nodded his head and smiled at her. "I can't wait to et her."
Xin i again felt fear and jealously when she heard him. Her fear was not hidden from him.
"Worry not, I no longer have any feelings for Mian. She is only a close friend to . But you, my dear wife, is my life. I will never side cast you for her. And I am warning you in advance," Su Yuchen spoke with seriousness.
"If with the blessings of God, I find her one day and bring her at ho, and if you find anything wrong with her nature, or you feel vary of her just like Song Daiyu, then you will tell about it the sa mont. I do not want another physic friend of mine attacking you. I will forget about Mian but can't let her harm you. Got it?"
Xin i smiled and nodded her head. "I promise, if I feel that Mian is also crazy then you will be the first one to know about it."
"Good." Su Yuchen nodded his head.
He closed the file and smiled at Xin i, praying that soon he would be able to find his lost childhood friend.
Xin i also smiled when she saw his smile. She knew he had just lost his friend (Song Daiyu) and he would feel happy if he would be able to find his other friend (Mian).
