Audrey’s exhibit received unanimous praise online, with more and more voices hoping to extend the exhibition period, claiming they couldn’t get tickets.
In just a few days, twelve paintings were sold.
The prices were quite impressive, too.
In addition, the Art Association conveyed a desire to let Audrey, the free-spirited abstract artist, collide with the renowned artist Faye Irving of the Imagism school.
The two would exhibit together.
That afternoon, Sienna Monroe discussed the matter with Audrey over the phone.
Extending the exhibition is a great complint for any artist, and Audrey was naturally happy about it.
But concerning the joint exhibition with Faye Irving, consideration was needed.
Both Audrey and Faye Irving are outstanding and talented figures in the art world, complented by their appealing looks—one being beautiful and intellectual, the other gentle and elegant—making them a highly talked-about pair.
Especially last year, when they were photographed dining together in Elysia by the dia.
The gossip beca widespread.
Their joint exhibition would significantly boost the fa, prestige, and interests of the Serena Art Museum.
As the curator, Sienna naturally wanted to see this win-win situation. But privately speaking, she wasn’t keen on Audrey interacting with Faye Irving.
She pursed her lips, and after closing the museum, she held a small eting. Just as she was about to lead the curatorial team and layout group through the four exhibition areas to finalize the painting settings to be added, her phone suddenly buzzed with a text ssage.
[Danger! Vivian Nash is planning to harm using soone else’s hand. While you are inspecting, she will purposely trip Stella Yates, causing Stella to accidentally knock you down.]
Sienna’s steps imdiately halted.
She had rely dropped a bit of bait, and Vivian Nash was so eager to bite.
Is this what she called her best friend?
How ridiculous.
All her understanding of Vivian Nash over the past eight or nine years was completely overturned in this mont.
The ruthlessness of Vivian Nash was beyond what Sienna could ever imagine.
She lowered her eyes, put away her phone, and stepped out of the eting room.
On the first floor, Sienna specifically paid attention to everyone’s positions—Nora Joyce and Director Dawson were on her left and right, with Vivian Nash and Stella Yates standing further back.
After inspecting for about half an hour, everything seed normal, and Vivian Nash didn’t make any moves. After Director Dawson finished giving instructions, the people behind dispersed one by one.
On the way to the elevator, Stella Yates unknowingly walked behind Sienna, who gave a glance at Vivian Nash’s position, her heart sinking. Just as she was about to distance herself, Stella suddenly exclaid and bumped into her back.
Sienna’s pupils contracted as she lost her balance and fell forward, instantly landing on the ground.
Nora tried in panic to catch her, but it was too late.
"Curator!"
"Sienna!"
A few people gasped in surprise as Nora, Director Dawson, and the others, including Vivian Nash, hurried up to help her.
Throughout the inspection, Sienna had been on guard, yet being knocked over still frightened her.
As she fell, she instinctively turned her body and used her hand to cushion the fall, avoiding major harm to her body, only her arm had a slight ache.
Vivian Nash hurried to lift her from the ground, looking at her with concern, "Sienna, are you okay? Did you hurt anywhere, or do you feel uncomfortable at all?"
Sienna touched her abdon, eting Vivian’s anxious eyes, and with lingering fear, she shook her head, murmuring as if to comfort herself, "It’s okay, I’m fine, thank goodness... ouch..."
"What is it? Does it hurt sowhere?"
There was a faint trace of expectation in her tone.
Sienna rolled up her sleeve to reveal a small bruise on her elbow.
Watching the hope in Vivian’s eyes fade, she frowned, "It hurts a lot."
Seeing Sienna unhard, neither bleeding nor complaining of stomach pain, Vivian felt only disappointnt and resentnt.
Won are most vulnerable in the first three months of pregnancy, and it’s the most prone ti for miscarriage.
The force with which Stella Yates hit her wasn’t light.
But even so, it hadn’t caused any signs of miscarriage.
"It’s bruised—it must really hurt."
Vivian was a bit irritated, her tone showing impatience, having lost the patience she had earlier, with a wave of anger welling up in her chest, uncontrollably directed at Stella Yates, who was still standing there dumbfounded.
"Stella Yates! What exactly do you want? Sienna is pregnant, do you want to get her killed? If anything happens to her or the baby, can you take responsibility? You..."
Pregnant?
Stella ca to her senses with a sharp intake of breath.
"I didn’t!" She shook with a start, loudly interrupting Vivian’s accusations, agitatedly saying, "Soone tripped , that’s the only reason I accidentally bumped into the curator."
She quickly walked a few steps towards Sienna, "Curator, I’m sorry. But I truly didn’t an to."
Sienna frowned and guided her by questioning, "Then who do you say tripped you?"
Stella’s expression turned stern, her gaze shifted firmly and angrily onto Vivian Nash, biting her lip, she pointed at her, "It was Vivian! She tripped !"
Vivian’s heart tightened, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief, "Stella Yates, what do you an?"
"I saw you pulling your foot back when I went down, you were standing right next to , it’s you!"
Sienna secretly breathed a sigh of relief, she had worried that the girl would not dare to point fingers.
Her expression showed the right amount of shock and sadness, "Vivian, why would you do sothing like this?"
Vivian heard this and almost wanted to hit Stella Yates hard in the mouth.
She masked her panic with an innocent face, "I didn’t do it, Sienna, you have to believe . I’m supposed to be the child’s future godmother, how could I bear to harm it?"
Sienna watched her expression remain steady while saying "godmother."
The urgency and feigned pity in her eyes were evident, without a shred of guilt.
Of course, soone who could think up such a sche to cause a miscarriage wouldn’t feel guilty, would they?
Before Sienna could respond, Stella, with tears in her eyes, argued her case, "I truly saw Vivian pull her foot back, curator, I’m not lying, she’s the one who tripped ."
Vivian angrily questioned, "Stella Yates, what’s your aim? Trying to sow discord between Sienna and ?"
"I’m not causing discord, just telling the truth. Vivian, ever since I joined the art museum under your hand, I’ve always admired and respected you. I have no vendetta against you, so why would you do this to ?"
"I’m harm you? Now who’s actually harming whom?" Vivian looked hurt, "I know you resent for scolding you publicly yesterday, but you can’t talk nonsense just because of that!"
"Give a reason why I would trip you!"
Stella opened her mouth, lacking confidence but still insisted, "I don’t know! But it was you who tripped . Why don’t you say you resented the curator for embarrassing you at the opening day, I did overhear you complaining to Charlotte about this! And yesterday when the curator demoted you, didn’t you have even a bit of resentnt against her?"
