You can’t afford to be bumped right now. Go upstairs to my office and take a rest. I’ll find you after I’m done, the code is 166398."

A strange tension welled up inside Sienna Monroe.
Once inside the elevator, she took a deep breath, a thin layer of sweat forming in her palms. She clenched and unclenched her hands as she walked to the door of June Ewing’s office, entered the code, and pushed the door open.
The door to June Ewing’s office was secured by a fingerprint and password system, known only to her, so not even Clara Shaw, the manager of the beauty salon, could easily enter.

She crouched down and tried each key on the second drawer.
On the third try, the lock finally turned and opened.
