Sienna Monroe’s hand paused, her heart sank, and she looked up at Vivian Nash’s unwavering gaze, her eyebrows slightly furrowing.

In a calm voice, she said, "Hmm. Maybe."

Vivian Nash’s head buzzed, as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her, stopping her heart abruptly.

Sienna Monroe is pregnant?

She’s actually pregnant!

To her, this news was like a bolt from the blue.

Almost instantly, a wicked and terrifying thought sprouted in her heart.

She absolutely couldn’t let her have the child.

Vivian had always known how important Sienna was to Caleb Sinclair, even though he had cheated, his love and heart were still with Sienna. As long as Sienna was around, nothing and no one else mattered to him.

He was deeply in love with Sienna, and if they had a child together, Sienna’s place in his heart would only grow stronger.

Secondly, her little wish to replace Sienna as Mrs. Sinclair would beco even harder to achieve.

Caleb might even end their shadowy affair because of this, and her current lavish lifestyle would disappear along with it.

She would also no longer have his tenderness and deep affection.

In the beginning, her heart was only seduced by interests and envy, but was now gradually occupied by love.

She loved Caleb Sinclair.

The intense possessiveness repeatedly told her that she couldn’t lose Caleb.

She couldn’t allow Caleb to abandon her either.

But from what she rembers, Caleb had never called her "wife," a term denoting status, only using intimate nicknas like "darling," "Vivian," "little vixen."

He had only ever called Sienna "wife."

In his heart, she couldn’t compare to Sienna, his wife.

His attachnt to her was rely physical stimulation he had never experienced, along with her alluring charm, openness, and eagerness to please.

Layers of unwillingness surged in her heart, almost obliterating her entire consciousness.

Sienna saw the many complex emotions on her stunned face and laughed, asking, "Why are you zoning out? Are you unhappy to see pregnant?"

Vivian Nash was pulled back to reality by her voice, put on a sweet smile, walked around the table, and took her arm, looking delighted.

"Of course not! I’m happy for you, really. I was just too surprised and shocked, it caught off guard. You’ve finally brought the good news, now I can be the godmother. How far along are you?"

The smile on her face was so genuine that if Sienna didn’t know her true nature, she might actually believe it.

Vivian Nash seed to care more about whether she was pregnant than she did.

Even though they’ve been friends for eight or nine years,

Sienna felt like she truly saw her for who she was only now.

Before, she was always caught in her deception.

"Just tested it, I’m not sure."

"Does Caleb Sinclair know?"

"I haven’t told him yet."

Vivian Nash’s eyes darkened, her smile deepened a bit, "He would probably be ecstatic when he finds out. You’ve been married for over three years, it’s ti for a child. Otherwise, if it goes on longer, your mother-in-law might have opinions about you."

Sienna couldn’t find any cracks in her expression.

But she caught the implication in her words.

Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationships have always been difficult, but she and June Ewing get along quite well...

At least on the surface.

Was Vivian Nash trying to stir things up?

Her mind was a chaotic whirlwind of thoughts.

She thought, if she really was pregnant, and Caleb and June Ewing found out, it wouldn’t be easy to abort, but... maybe she could use Vivian Nash.

Miscarriage is harmful, but compared to the pain and despair she might face in the future, it’s insignificant.

If she wasn’t pregnant...

That would be the best scenario.

"Things like pregnancy depend on fate."

Vivian Nash raised an unnoticeable brow.

Fate?

She smiled and asked, "Do you want to go to the hospital for a check-up? See how far along the baby is, if it’s healthy, and the due date; you’ll feel more at ease with all the facts."

"If you want to surprise Caleb Sinclair, I can accompany you for the check-up first?"

Sienna looked at her false sincerity and roughly guessed her intentions.

She contemplated for a mont.

Whether she was pregnant or not, she had to make Vivian Nash believe she was.

After formulating a plan, she hesitated before replying, "The museum might be busy this afternoon..."

Vivian Nash interrupted her with a smile, "It’s fine, the check-up won’t take long, and the afternoon isn’t as busy as the morning."

Sienna cast a sidelong glance at her and slowly nodded, "Let’s go then."

After their al, the two drove to the nearby Central General Hospital.

Conveniently, the obstetrics and gynecology chief at this hospital was a close friend of her mother, Leah Hughes. On the way, Sienna sent Auntie Rennick a ssage on WeChat.

Upon reaching the entrance of the obstetrics and gynecology departnt, a middle-aged woman in a white coat waved at her, "Sienna."

Sienna imdiately walked over, "Auntie Rennick, long ti no see."

Auntie Rennick smiled, "It’s been a while since I last saw you. You ntioned on WeChat you’re here for a pregnancy check-up, how far along are you? Any severe pregnancy symptoms?"

"Just tested today with a ho strip, wanted to confirm."

"Finally decided on having a child? That’s great news, co on, I’ll give you so basic tests."

"Okay."

Auntie Rennick ran three tests: blood work, urinalysis, and an ultrasound.

The results for the first two were slower to co out.

When entering the ultrasound room, Vivian Nash was stopped outside.

Inside the ultrasound room, it was only Sienna and Auntie Rennick. After checking, Auntie Rennick lightly furrowed her brows and said to her, "Sienna, your test strip was probably a false positive, the transvaginal ultrasound didn’t show a gestational sac."

Sienna was stunned and sat up, "You an... I’m not pregnant?"

Auntie Rennick nodded, "Yes. Today is actually the day your period should start. Even if it’s delayed by a few days, there’s no issue. If it’s due to stress, worrying too much, or emotional disturbance leading to hormonal imbalance, a couple of months delay is normal."

Not pregnant!

Sienna felt the stone weighing on her chest finally beginning to lift, allowing her to breathe, "I see."

Auntie Rennick, fearing she’d be disappointed, reassured her, "Don’t worry, you’re still young, there’s no rush for a child. Another day, bring your husband for a full check-up together."

Sienna hesitated with her lips, "Auntie Rennick, could you help get a pregnancy certificate?"

Auntie Rennick was surprised, "Is Caleb Sinclair’s family pressuring you?"

Sienna shook her head, "No. I just really need this docunt right now."

Auntie Rennick was clearly puzzled, but seeing her earnest expression, she swallowed her questions and printed out the altered ultrasound results for her.

Sienna took it and said, "Thank you, Auntie Rennick."

Auntie Rennick sighed, patting her hand, "If there’s anything you can’t tell your dad or your brother, call anyti, okay?"

"I understand, don’t worry."

Exiting the ultrasound room, Auntie Rennick advised, "In the first three months, be very careful, avoid spicy, sour, or cold foods, and especially no high heels, okay?"

Sienna smiled and nodded, "Yes, got it. Thank you, Auntie Rennick."

Vivian Nash listened to their conversation, her heart suddenly sinking.

A vicious look swept over her abdon, but her face still displayed a joyful and gentle smile as she took her arm, "Congratulations, Sienna, on your promotion to motherhood. So, when do you plan to tell Caleb?"

Sienna nonchalantly withdrew her arm and waved goodbye to Auntie Rennick, turning her voice cool, "Tonight, when he cos ho."

Vivian Nash’s eyes flickered, smiling in agreent, "Sounds good."

Back at the museum, when the elevator reached the third floor, "Sienna, you go in first, I’ll head to the restroom."

Sienna nodded, "Okay."

She walked toward the office when suddenly a text ssage notification chid from her phone in her bag.

Ding!
