"Haha! Without further ado, I'll try it now!"

Seeing Akira's demonstration, Bokuto beca even more convinced of the idea in his mind.

He charged over to the other side of the court with fiery determination!

"Akaashi!"

"Co toss for !"

"Alright."

Akaashi lifted his eyes lazily and responded.

The two then walked over to the far side of the court.

As they moved, the others scattered to practice as well.

Whether they understood it or not—trying it for themselves was the best way forward!

Even if they couldn't reach Akira's level, any improvent was still a win.

Even a slight edge in spiking would make the intense training worthwhile.

Soon, a strange scene unfolded across the vast practice arena.

The players, who were originally supposed to be engaged in training matches, were now all focused solely on spiking drills!

Even more surprisingly, their coaches were fully on board with the shift!

As Nekomata-sensei put it:

"If even one of you manages to master the skill Akira just demonstrated, that alone will be sothing you can carry with you for the rest of your volleyball career!"

With that kind of endorsent, everyone beca even more motivated!

"Hey? Did that one look any better? Did it have so spin?"

"Nope. I caught it clean."

"Hurry up, hurry up! You catch now, it's my turn to spike!"

"Toss another one! I think I almost got the hang of it!"

"Uhh… alright! Just one more!"

"Oi, you two done ssing around? Toss a ball already, I want to try it too!"

"Huh? Aren't you a setter? Seriously?"

"What, setters can't spike now?"

"You looking down on setters? Keep it up and I won't toss to you anymore!"

"Ahem! Not at all! Please don't take it the wrong way!"

...

As the practice went on, gradually... everyone began to realize sothing:

This technique—was insanely hard!!

Or rather, nearly impossible.

To do what Akira did, one first had to be able to control the muscles of their palm freely.

But besides Akira's freakishly precise control over his body, what normal person could even dream of that??

Forget doing it—even hearing about using your palm muscles like that was a first for most of them!

Was Akira's spinning spike destined to be another move like Sakusa's wrist-flick serve—sothing utterly unreplicable?

If that were the case, what was the point in learning it at all?

Just like Sakusa from Itachiyama.

Who else could twist their wrist like that?

If no one else could pull it off, then wasn't this just empty theory?

Even if the ball did work wonders in Akira's hands, if they couldn't replicate it themselves, it was aningless.

"Ugh! I've tried so many tis and I still can't get any rotation!"

"Sa here! Trying to activate palm muscles to generate spin sounds like sothing from a fantasy novel!"

"Maybe Akira really is a volleyball genius—to be able to do sothing like this!"

"When I saw him demonstrate it earlier, I was a little surprised… but now that I've tried it myself, I'm really blown away! He's insanely good!"

"Is what Akira taught us today just impossible for anyone else?"

...

Just as frustration began to settle in across the court—

A loud, stunned voice suddenly rang out from the other side!

"It spun… It SPUN!"

"Spin! Rotational force!"

"Haha! I did it!"

Everyone nearby snapped their heads toward the voice in shock.

Could it be—soone actually pulled it off??

The voice ca from a first-year player on Ubugawa's team, and at this mont, his face was flushed red with excitent, completely overwheld.

Ubugawa's setter and another spiker stood beside him, staring in disbelief.

"What?"

"What's going on??"

Seeing the commotion, Ubugawa's captain, Ogano, imdiately rushed over.

Trailing behind him were the Ubugawa coach and team manager.

The one who had spoken was a substitute player nad Hayashi Nagano.

He wasn't particularly strong at spiking and had been training as a Libero instead.

But now he was saying he'd managed to create the spinning force Akira had just demonstrated??

Facing Captain questioning gaze, both the setter and the other spiker nodded—though a little stiffly.

Both of their expressions were strange.

"The ball did spin, but…"

Ubugawa's player began to explain, but before he could finish, the coach surged forward out of the crowd and clapped a hand onto Hayashi Nagano's shoulder, eyes wide with surprise.

"Haha! Not bad!"

"Hayashi!"

"Didn't expect you to be hiding potential like this!"

"Quick! Try it again!"

He was elated.

Nagano—who had been fairly diocre up until now—had just surprised everyone in the best way.

"Yes, sir!"

Nagano nodded, his cheeks still tinged red.

Seeing the stir it caused, everyone else's hearts began to race too—they quickly gathered around.

They'd been thinking that Akira's technique might be sothing no one else could do.

But now, here was soone actually succeeding?

Whether it was real or not—they all needed to see for themselves!

"I'll go!"

Ogano stepped across from Nagano and signaled to the setter to toss him the ball.

He wanted to judge for himself if the rotation was real!

"But Captain..."

The setter hesitated, wanting to say sothing.

But the coach imdiately cut him off:

"Toss it, Arin!"

"Let everyone watch!"

The setter gave the coach a mildly betrayed look, then turned to Nagano:

"Toss it to ."

"Yes, Arin-san!"

Now that everyone's eyes were on him, Nagano's face turned even redder.

He'd never been in the spotlight like this before.

But now that the arrow was notched, it had to fly.

Nagano took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

Then, with one smooth motion, he tossed the ball toward the setter!

Whoosh!
