Please let the earth open up and eat her right then.
Could this get any worse?!
Keira clamped her hand over her neck and fumbled to open the front cara on her phone. Disbelief and utter mortification coloured her cheeks red. There it was, a red hickey on her neck.
She knew the hot stranger had been getting carried away at the club, they both were, but she didn’t think he’d left a hickey on her skin!
"WHO…." Damon paced back and forth. "Who dared to touch my daughter…. No… You must have…"
Dad was having a ltdown while Keira hid it beneath her hair.
"Honey…" Aila tried to placate, though her lips were pinched and eyes glittering like she found this amusing.
Mum! It’s not amusing! This is humiliating!
"I need you to breathe… Keira is at that age-"
"Nope!" Damon shook his head. "Keira’s not at any age where soone can just…" He thrust his hand in Keira’s direction. "Do that to my precious daughter! She’s too young. No… This is not happening…"
"Damon…" Aila began.
He faced Keira. "I have an excellent idea."
"Oh boy…" Aila pald her face.
"You’re never leaving this house… You wouldn’t leave your dear dad, would you, Twilight?" Damon clasped Keira by the shoulders. " and your brothers are the only n allowed in your life, right?"
"Er…" Keira didn’t even have a love life. This was all getting out of hand!
"Damon… we are not putting our daughter under so sort of house arrest for getting a love bite!" Aila pulled him back and then waved Keira off. "You’re not in trouble. Just tell us where you are, please."
"Not in trouble?!" Damon continued, almost manically.
"Leave now, I’ll speak to your father," Aila whispered over Damon’s shoulder. "But you have to tell
all about it later!"
"Like hell is she leaving-"
Mortified, Keira exited the office quickly, closing the door quietly behind her as her mum tried to placate her dad. She rushed off, needing to hide in her room before anyone saw her.
She wasn’t so lucky.
Keira tried to run up the twirling stairs in the entryway, only to stop after hearing a whistle. She looked up and tried to pass her sister, hoping she didn’t see anything about her little outing the night before.
Who was she kidding? Arie was always on social dia!
"When did my little sister get so grown up?!" She gushed, seeming proud as she placed her manicured hand against her chest. It was clear she was enjoying the situation. "Ohhh, next ti, we should both go out!"
NOPE!
"Where is she?! Where is my little sister?!" Eamon shouted, his loud steps thumping against the ground. It was like the earth almost shook, and Keira quaked with it.
Arie snorted. "Good luck. Big bro is on a mission," she whispered, then waved her hand as Eamon skidded to a stop at the bottom of the foyer. "She’s over here!"
"Marie!" Keira groaned and then ran from the stairs.
"Oh no, you don’t!" Eamon chased after her.
Seriously, he was her brother, but right now, it was like a man in a scream mask was chasing her with an axe. Keira’s heart pounded as she tried to flee from her overprotective brother. His loud footsteps and the shaking of the ground gave her the burst of energy she needed to escape him.
Keira slamd the doors shut and locked them just in ti as Eamon slamd into them. "Who is he, Keir? Whose the little prick that needs to be squished for touching you?"
"Oh, for the love of the Goddess!" Arie laughed from the other side of the doors as well. "It’s not like she was attacked!"
Keira covered her face. Was it a little too hot in here? Her face was red, matching the mark on her neck.
"Yes, she was! So punk decided to attack her neck!"
"Honestly, Eamon, you should have thought ahead." Keira’s hands dropped, and she stared wide-eyed at Cato, who was strolling into her room from the balcony!
Did her dad seriously call over her overprotective brothers?!
For as elegant and otherworldly Cato was, he was just as deadly. Keira’s mouth dropped open as he slipped on the second pair of black gloves, pinging them into place with a loud slap. "What’s his na?"
"I don’t know… no, wait, that’s not what the problem is here!" Keira exclaid, frustrated that her brother got into her room. "You can’t just barge in here and demand to know about so guy!"
Cato tilted his head to the side, his expression serious. "I do not understand what the issue is here."
"I think that’s worse. This is my room, my space. You can’t just climb up here, especially when I have my doors closed for a reason!" Keira exclaid her frustration that grew the longer she stared at her brother’s blank expression.
"What is the reason?" Cato turned his head, eyes narrowing. "Is there sothing you are hiding from us?"
Keira threw her hands up. "No! Get out of my room!"
"I am not leaving until I have his na, age, description-"
"Yes, because I would really give you those details," Keira clipped, sarcasm dripping from her tongue.
"Excellent." Cato missed the point.
"Ugh!" Keira stord away from him, grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. Cato effortlessly caught it and tossed it onto the bed.
Sotis, she thought he did it on purpose. Emotions and drama were a waste of his ti, after all.
Eamon slamd into the door again, this ti almost splintering through it. Keira stumbled forward and glared over her shoulder when Cato unlocked the doors, allowing Eamon to enter, followed by an amused Arie.
"Look…" Cato began. "We just want to talk to him."
How many tis has she heard this now?
"What if it was Arie?" Keira demanded, throwing up her hands. "Would you still act like this?"
Cato and Eamon paused and looked at Arie at the sa ti. She froze, eyes wide, then glared at Keira.
"Arie already knows better…" Cato said in an eerily calm tone.
A shiver ran down her spine at that. What did that an? Has Arie already dealt with a similar situation, and that’s why she is here now? To watch her struggle.
But it didn’t an anything! This damned hickey! What was the guy thinking?!
"Not cool, sis," Arie hissed, tossing her golden locks over her shoulder. "I’m not helping you out again!"
"Since when did you help in this situation?" Keira demanded.
"I... I stepped in front of Eamon!" She whined unconvincingly.
Keira glanced at the brick house that was her brother. "Uhuh."
