Sitting in the office with McGonagall, Loki paid attention to her words as she explained calmly.

"The entire Ministry of Magic is closely tied to the Beyonder world. However, the Beyonders themselves do not have an official designation. In a tryst to keep the identities of Beyonders a secret, the Ministry simply deals with them as if they are consultants from the Unspeakables departnt."

Loki frowned at this information.

"Why? Wouldn't it just be much easier to give them official positions? I an I'm sure no one would question orders from a higher-up? I doubt the Aurors and the 'consultants' work together well if they simply appear out of nowhere?"

McGonagall *sighed* audibly and then spoke after gathering her words.

"What you say is right, but it isn't so easy. To answer that question we will first have to understand what pathways are controlled by the people in power in the Ministry."

"Hmm…" Loki leaned in, interested.

"The two pathways that are dominated by the Ministry of Magic are the Lawyer and the Arbiter pathways."

"Alia, Alia Bones handles the Arbiter pathways. She is a demigod of the pathway and she has quite a few subordinates."

"Those of the arbiter pathway are usually described as eager, outgoing and just people. They are so of the sweetest justice-oriented people you will find, even if they're a little hard-headed sotis."

"Then….?"

"The trouble cos from the other pathway. The Lawyer Pathway. Those on this pathway are the worst offenders of justice. Their entire pathway works on trying to bribe through the laws around them. In a few words, they would be described as corrupt and unfit for a just society."

"They thrive in grey areas and are intent on propagating them, unlike the Arbiters who thrive by turning all the greys white. "

"Then why don't we just support the Arbiter pathways Beyonders like Miss Alia Bones to grow stronger and take over the Ministry?"

McGonagall smiled at Loki's naivety and explained clearly.

"Because you cannot get rid of the several Beyodners of the Lawyer pathway that are deeply intertwined with everything else. But that isn't the worst part, the worse part is that the Lawyer pathway Beyonders are supported by most of the Purebloods and nobles around Britain."

Loki frowned as he heard this but still asked sothing that was bugging him a little.

"But still…I'm sure with the Headmaster's support Madam Bones can beco the Ministry of Magic can she not?"

McGonagall almost laughed but kept herself from doing so since she knew she was dealing with a child who did not understand much about politics and business of the 'real' world.

"The trouble isn't the Headmaster's support. It is the lack of support from the other Beyonders in the Ministry itself. Most people do not like living in a just world. If everything would happen according to the rules there wouldn't be any room for personal interpretation. But-"

"-above all, it isn't like Arbiters can't be corrupted, can they? What's to say that the Arbiters won't act just like the Lawyer Pathway Beyodners once they get into power?"

Loki's eyes widened slightly and he nodded in understanding.

"I think I get what you're saying…you an to say that the Arbiters are currently only 'good' because that is all they can do since all the 'grey' and 'bad' is dominated by those in the Lawyer pathway…"

"Precisely. Now back to the topic I wanted to discuss with you. The work of Unspeakables and how Beyonders above the third year all participate in missions to gain real-life experience before officially joining them."

Loki *gulped* a little and then looked at McGonagall.

'This is the closest thing to the Nighthawks in this world.'

"The Unspeakables are responsible for managing various Beyonder artefacts traded worldwide through legal and illegal ans."

"Each Beyonder Artefact has its own uses and is hence recorded and strictly controlled by the Ministry Of Magic."

Loki frowned when McGonagall said this since he had a million objects in his hold that were never registered, in fact, all the items he made under Randolph were never registered.

McGonagall looked at him and instantly picked up Loki's question to which she responded with-

"Of course, people don't like to explain what objects they carry and from where they obtained them so nearly an estimated seventy per cent of the world's Beyonder items are undocunted. Other estimates made by people who don't work for the Unspeakables put this estimate at ninety per cent."

'That makes more sense…'

'But I'm still surprised that no one told about it during the apprenticeship… I guess the rules around this are really lax and not obeyed at all.'

"As you can guess, the rules regarding this are very lax since the Unspeakables are mostly dominated by the pureblood factions, which ans that they wouldn't like to audit themselves."

Loki nodded and McGonagall continued.

"The main work of the Unspeakables is to target and neutralise any sort of situation that can threaten the international secrecy pact of the magical world.-"

"-As a rule of thumb, as long as things are done in secret they are usually glossed over unless the result would be disastrous like causing the decent of a mad god or unleashing an evil entity."

Loki looked at McGonagall's aningful eyes and nodded with a little fear.

'So even human experints and the like are not taken seriously unless they threaten the international secrecy pact?'

'Surely she must be exaggerating…right?'

McGonagall could read Loki's furrowed brows like an open book as she spoke calmly, "No I'm not joking and I'm being serious. Although the White faction in Wizengamot does its best to curb any malpractices, there are several areas guarded by the dark and the grey faction that allow for rather disturbing things to happen."

"Very rarely are any White faction Beydoners allowed in such areas since there are many secrets that need to be kept here. And I hope you'll rember this."

Loki was stunned.

"Any questions?"

Loki thought about it for a while, before asking-

"Erm…actually I have a question…it's not directly related to the topics we discussed today though."

"Don't worry Mr. Loki, I don't bite, so ask away."

Loki smiled and spoke, "Erm...over the past few days I've been repeatedly hearing things I should not hear and seeing things that I should not see. I keep hearing soone crying and wailing as they offer themselves to the True Creator…"

McGonagall's brows shot up but Loki didn't relent, he continued to speak.

"Along with 'His' na, I also hear the na of Gehrman Sparrow very frequently. Although I don't know much about the boy, from my dreams which might be my spirituality giving hints, I always see him dressed as a Hogwarts student. I don't really understand all this professor…can you help make sense?"

It was McGonagall's turn to be surprised as her lips quivered, she stared at Loki for a second as he suddenly felt rather weird from having a demigod or saint use spirit vision on him.

McGonagall stayed silent for a bit before speaking softly.

"It would be best you do not give in to any temptations Mr. Loki. Especially not with the True Creator."

"Huh? Why specially 'Him'? What's so special about 'Him'?"

McGonagall frowned as she closed her eyes because bad mories showed up but she spoke nonetheless.

"Becuase one of the abilities of a Sequence 5 Sheperd of the Secrets Supplicant pathway is that they can graze the souls of other Beyonders and use their abilities."

Loki was confused for a second before his eyes widened and his jaw fell loose.

"You an-"

"Precisely. The Beyonders of the Mystery Pryer pathway are a favourite for them because of our divination capabilities. I've lost many good students to them because they beca involved in this which led them down a rabbit hole because of their acting as a Mystery Pryer. I hope you do not go down the sa route Mr. Loki."

Loki *gulped* audibly before nodding.

"Good."
