Third Person POV

Sowhere unknown.

...

...

It was a little strange to have called his mother right after having the chance to speak with any dead person now that he had the ring. The sa woman Severus had been talking about a few hours ago.

However, part of Severus Snape inside that body imdiately fought against it. There was too much remorse, regrets, less about his mother's death. More about almost not speaking to her in the mont he was inside that house before Tobias beat her.

He needed to ask for her forgiveness, sohow.

The glow began to appear in front of him and Rosaria, with a white mist, as the glow began to take shape and even color, but not completely, for it was still transparent.

Then, a middle-aged woman, with black hair and skin as white as a vampire's, appeared there in that forest without anyone else in the world being able to know what was happening there.

She seed to be sick, just as Severus had also shared the sa skin tone before receiving the change from the system.

Her lips were pursed, her gaze tired, as she blinked a few tis. Rosaria knew the na Severus had spoken, and looked curiously at the mother of the man she loved.

"So it's real..." Rosaria murmured, the Stone really worked. Severus had really managed to call soone from beyond; he could summon any soul from the afterlife worlds, knowing that there were so kinds of heaven and hell in the dinsion where the souls went.

Severus stood staring at the woman without saying anything, while Eileen still blinked, looking at Rosaria for a mont in confusion, but her eyes fixed on the man before her. It was only a second with a confused expression, but then there was a glimr of recognition, at the sa ti her eyes widened, stunned.

"Severus, my son... is that you?" The voice seed to falter as she said this, but she also seed to be aware of what was happening. She was no longer the broken woman Severus had seen before knowing she had been killed.

Her gaze soon returned to the world. She knew that Severus here was a living being, while she was trapped in the mortal world.

"What am I doing here? I left my rest..." she murmured, looking fixedly back at her son; he was so different from what she rembered... and taller.

"I brought you through one of the Deathly Hallows. You are temporarily back in this world as a ghost, but only for a short conversation, Mother," Severus said.

The woman stared at him with much more attention, trying to see the details. Still very stunned that this was no longer the Severus she had known, he had changed so much.

She noticed sothing that shocked her: the shape of his face was quite different from what it used to be; his imperfections, thin face, crooked nose, all had changed, he had beco such a handso man... but his eyes, which had once been black, were now blue. She did not understand the change in her son, but she knew he was her son.

Severus also stared at her for a mont, thinking about many things. After all, if the forr owner of this body were truly dead, he should be in heaven and might have already t her. There was no reason Eileen wouldn't have found her son... But her reaction ant that Severus had not gone anywhere else. He would look into that later — for now, he would have to deal with the woman who had called him son.

"I know you have many questions, Mother, but I'd like to talk with you for a bit," Severus said, staring at her, while Rosaria said nothing more, unsure if she should be there. But Severus also did not tell her to leave.

"Of course... look at you, you've grown so much. It's a pity I couldn't witness these changes. Please, tell what is going on. How old are you now?"

She stepped closer, trying to touch his face, while her hand passed through his skin without being able to feel the touch she wanted, due to her condition as a ghost.

"I am 17 years old. Besides being of age, I have also taken the na Prince. Today, I am Lord Prince. Severus Prince."

Eileen raised an eyebrow. "Your uncles?"

"Dead... The only ones left in the family are and Uncle Alaric... As for your brothers, I am the one who killed them," Severus said without any hesitation, while she stared at him.

"What happened?" she asked, horrified.

Severus sighed and began to tell her. Then he narrated the story since he had changed, last year, and given up on following the path of the Death Eaters. He had encountered several enemies throughout the year while managing to prevail over them. He spoke about the Hogsade attack, where he had massacred several dark wizards. Voldemort had declared Severus an enemy while he continued hunting Dark Wizards — a category below the Death Eaters, since the latter were part of Voldemort's inner circle.

Severus ended up becoming very famous, not only for his other identities but also for his achievents as Severus Snape. Even as a sixth-year student, he was standing out far too much.

This intimidated his uncles, who could not bear to see their low-born nephew reach such a position, when everyone knew who he was. None of them, however, had the courage to oppose him, as public opinion could turn against them. It was then that they joined Voldemort, seeking to assassinate him in exchange for helping the Dark Lord in his plans.

This left Eileen horrified and even enraged. Her brothers wanted to kill her son, and the reason was jealousy and desperation when the Prince family could no longer produce more heirs?

His battles continued, as Severus — or his identities — hunted Voldemort's followers. The fights went on. Until the Death Eaters attacked his shop and kidnapped Lily Evans, declaring war. Severus went to them, even knowing it was a trap. He let them mock him and try to torture him, and when they had the audacity to threaten, he finally unleashed his power.

Those plans were all destroyed, where he defeated the Dark Lord and left his body badly damaged with a curse.

He was now after the objects that contained his Horcruxes. And, of course, in his first search today, he had found the Stone and reached that point in the conversation with his mother.

"I destroyed and massacred every last one of them, except for one of the families that did not take part in the attack and did not want to get involved. All the others were exterminated," he said, even as his mother looked quite horrified.

"Oh, my son, I'm so sorry... since you've been through so much, I wish I could have been there." Eileen seed heartbroken hearing each of the battles, which went beyond her understanding, but she could see they were not things a young man should have to go through.

Severus did not say how he had won most of the battles, how he had fought against experienced adults and how he could fight against hundreds of wizards at once, even when they seed impossible, casting powerful spells and using abilities that could barely be explained. Still, it was confird there.

"You don't have to feel sorry for anything, Mother... It's not your fault, and Tobias is living life as he wanted, being miserable alone in that house. He killed you... And I've wondered many tis if I couldn't do the sa to him..." Severus said.

"Son! Please, don't be like that man..." his mother pleaded imdiately.

Severus gave a sad smile; his hands were full of blood. Tobias was nothing compared to the number of lives he had taken since he ca into this world.

"He killed you, beat since I was a child... I won't kill him, but I hope he's having a tragic end," Severus said.

That brought a heavy silence. She had found peace after her death. Despite everything, Eileen seed regretful for not being with her son while he was fighting his battles.

"I wish I had supported you more..." Eileen said, and Severus looked at her a little surprised.

"You couldn't have done that... At that ti, we were at his rcy. Besides, I ca to call you because I wanted to say that I wanted your forgiveness... I shouldn't have treated you with remorse the last ti I saw you... You didn't deserve to be treated that way by , Mother," Severus said with a look of regret.

"There's nothing to forgive, Sev. You are my son and I will always love you. I should have been a better mother... I shouldn't have stayed with Tobias after he changed, beca more aggressive. We should have left that house. We should have found a way." She said, trying to touch his face once more as she floated.

"You were under the love potion!" Severus said, with disgust in his voice.

"But the love potion doesn't last forever, Severus, it's only temporary... it can't hold for long... I loved him, maybe because of the potion at first, but it doesn't change the fact that I loved you even more when you ca into the world, Sev... You are a part of ... And just seeing you, it was all worth it. I only regret not taking you out of that house, that we could have had a happier life away from that man. I was afraid..." she murmured in a sad tone.

"I was afraid I wouldn't be able to support you the mont Tobias started hitting you..." she said.

"It got much worse after you died..." Severus comnted with a sad tone.

"I'm sorry..." His mother seed on the verge of crying at that.

"It's all right... we can't stay trapped in the past... Things are different, I believe you would be proud of ..." he murmured.

"I have always been proud of you, you have always been a smart boy, more than anyone else, you're a genius at making potions... Lily used to say there was no one like you, just as you told , isn't that right?" The woman laughed, still looking sad.

"Mother, I forgive you for everything that happened... I should have done more too, should have spoken better with you, should have..." He couldn't even finish before the ghost interrupted.

"I forgive you for all of it, I will always forgive you! You are my son, I should be the one asking for forgiveness." She insisted.

"If that's the case, I forgive you for everything." Severus said.

"Thank you, my son... And who is this pretty girl? I presu she's not Lily, her hair is redder and her eyes are not green." The woman then looked at Rosaria, who had remained silent the whole ti, listening to their conversation, but had said nothing, not wanting to interfere.

"She is not Lily, you could say Lily and I are no longer what we once were." Severus began, wanting to introduce Rosaria before she did it herself.

"This is Rosaria Valenstein, my fiancée... By the way, I don't want to offend you, but I have four fiancées." Severus laughed while the ghost of his mother looked at him in surprise.

"What?" she murmured in disbelief.

"A long story. I have ford a bond with all the girls I intend to marry," Severus said.

"Are you okay with that?" Eileen looked at Rosaria, who, despite seeming not to be Severus's only woman, smiled.

"I love him enough to accept that I am not the only one. I'd rather share him than lose him. Even though I don't particularly like one of the fiancées, I'll do it for Sev," Rosaria said.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to hear how you two t, as well as your other fiancées. I'm curious, since I thought you would end up with Lily in the end, as you clearly liked her," Eileen said.

"I loved her," Severus replied with a strange tone, making even Rosaria uncomfortable. "But I don't anymore... I no longer feel what I felt for her. In any case, of course. I'll tell you about my adventures at school and outside of it, which led to et wonderful girls."
