Evans' House.

"Let go of my hand!" Venom scread as he whimpered in pain, with Severus on the other side of the table, continuing to squeeze his wrist and twist it as if he were dealing with sothing fragile, while also taking care not to break the fat guy's arm.
Without any effort, Severus ended up forcing Venom to his knees. Venom placed his elbow on the table, while Mrs. Evans imdiately stood up in horror.
"Severus, you have to let go!" she exclaid.
"What are you doing, freak!" Petunia tried to pull Severus's arm forcefully, but she couldn't move him.
Mr. Evans quickly got up, while Lily took a step back, stepping away from the chair, horrified.
"Severus, please," she murmured.
"I know he started it, but may I ask you not to hurt Petunia's boyfriend anymore?" Severus felt Mr. Evans's hand on his shoulder, trying to calm the situation.
He couldn't ask for much, since he saw it had been Venom himself who started all that ss.
Severus sighed as he finally let go of Venom's wrist, who stumbled a bit, falling on his butt on the floor and even knocking over a nearby chair, and Petunia almost went down with him.
Still whimpering, nearly on the verge of tears, Venom imdiately stood up, glaring angrily and pointing his other arm at Severus.
"You... you dare touch ?! You're going to pay for this!" he began to shout, then simply turned his back, starting to walk away from the table and heading to the living room, probably towards the street. He didn't even look at Petunia.
"Are you happy now?! Venom!" Petunia imdiately shouted, running after him toward the living room.
"She still thinks Severus is the one in the wrong?" Lily couldn't help but comnt.
Mrs. Evans sighed, touching her chest. "My God... what just happened? How horrible..." she murmured.
Mr. Evans sighed, removing his hand from Severus's shoulder, while he shook his head.
"Well... I guess I overdid it a little. Force of habit," Severus said, scratching his head.
He wasn't angry at all, he seed very calm. He wouldn't lose his temper over such a silly argunt, not even Petunia's insults bothered him.
He had to make a trendous effort not to simply break Venom's arm, which would have been like snapping a toothpick. He had the strength to destroy an entire building at that mont, not just walls like at the beginning at Hogwarts.
He needed to be careful even when using his hands for small things, like the cutlery in front of him, because he could easily crush them.
The living room door opened as Venom left, closely followed by Petunia, who slamd the door shut hard, making even Mrs. Evans jump and look very displeased with her daughter's behavior.
Only the four of them remained in the kitchen, in a slightly awkward silence.
"Well... I guess lunch was a disaster, don't you think?" Lily said, forcing a smile, trying to lighten the mood, her face turning red as she looked at her parents and Severus, trying to see what he thought about it all.
Her father just shook his head, clearly disappointed.
"Why don't we continue? It's not like any of us started this, am I right?" Severus said suddenly, shrugging off the ss.
"You seem so calm about all this. How do you manage that? My heart is racing!" Mrs. Evans said, still touching her chest and taking deep breaths.
"I didn't think it was a big deal. I just answered the questions. Even with the provocations... it's not like I care about the opinions of people like that. No offense. I know she's your daughter, and probably a new mber of your family, but let's admit they're horrible people," Severus said, sharing his opinion about what had happened.
"Well, I think Severus is right. Let's sit down and continue. We didn't eat properly, and since the food is already on the plate, let's keep the conversation going and forget what happened at the end," Mr. Evans made the final call, and everyone agreed.
Lunch continued, then. No one brought up Petunia and her boyfriend, wherever they might have gone. It started silent and awkward, until Lily's father resud the conversation, wanting to talk about Severus's plans and how his life was going.
Severus spoke more openly, continuing to talk about cars, ntioning so models he had and a few other things he was buying.
"Wait a second... you're buying a war tank? Why would you be interested in non-magical military weapons?" Lily's father asked, surprised upon hearing the model of the latest war tank Severus had bought.
"I just want to test it personally or disassemble it. I have so free ti, and I want to study its structure," Severus said.
"I never imagined you'd be interested in such things," the man comnted, shaking his head. He himself had been inside war tanks during World War II when he served — obviously models much older than the one Severus had bought.
"I also bought a fighter jet, but it'll co from the United States," he said, leaving everyone stunned, while Lily looked a bit confused, not very familiar with that area.
"A fighter jet?! That costs like tens of millions of dollars! You even bought one of those?"
"Yes, a Grumman F-14 Tomcat. I'm planning to invest in so military technology companies and even in organizations connected with space, like NASA and others that are erging in the United States. It's the best starting point."
"Are you going to space or sothing? I'm starting to think you want to do the sa as the United States did, sending the first man to the Moon less than 10 years ago."
"I rember that! I rember when you showed it to us on TV!" she said excitedly, before choking up, rembering that this Severus wasn't the sa.
'He's not your Severus...' a voice indicated.
"I rember too. You thought it was fake and that it was so kind of movie," Severus said, making Lily open her eyes wide, shocked that he had mories of that.
"You... you rember?" she murmured, looking at him as if he were an alien.
"What's so strange?" Mrs. Evans couldn't help but ask, frowning at her daughter, while Lily choked up, not knowing how she'd explain that to her mother.
"Lily thinks I've forgotten our childhood," Severus said in a diplomatic tone, making the girl blush as her father laughed.
"Well, childhood isn't sothing easy to forget. I rember when our daughter brought ho a boy saying he was her friend. She was so happy back then," Mr. Evans said, laughing, while Lily felt embarrassed, yet still stared at Severus in shock, trying to understand him.
'If he isn't that Severus... why does he rember that?' she thought.
"I rember that too, Mr. Evans. I rember you insisted I co inside, but I was too embarrassed to do it. While Mrs. Evans imdiately wanted to feed , thinking I looked way too skinny," Severus said, laughing, drawing an emotional look from both of them.
"Oh, Severus... to think that shy little boy would beco a man like you," Mrs. Evans murmured, pretending to wipe a tear from her eyes.
"Well, what can I say? I had many hardships back then. And I made a point to be here because it's the least I could do for everything you did for when I needed it most. I'll never forget the help you gave ," Severus said in a calm tone, but one that easily stirred emotions in the three at the table.
Lily was still looking at him, seeming increasingly confused, while Mrs. Evans looked like she might cry, and Lily's father smiled with pride.
"I must admit, Severus, you beca a man I never imagined you'd beco."
"Isn't he a hero of the wizarding world?" Mrs. Evans couldn't help but tease.
"It's true. You defeated a threat, a war... doesn't that make you a hero? Shouldn't they be giving you a dal or sothing?" the man said.
"I wouldn't say that. They see more as a threat," Severus said.
"But how? Didn't you end a war? We heard Professor Dumbledore is on your side," Mr. Evans said, as the conversation took a more serious tone.
"They're afraid I'll start another war. I killed many people, even destroyed entire families. That won't be easy to live with. They haven't made a move against only because of the power I represent." He paused.
"I destroyed all of Voldemort's forces by myself, and they know the British Ministry of Magic doesn't have the strength to deal with . Everyone saw it as I basically toyed with Voldemort while they all tried to stop ."
"Maybe they'll seek help from the International Confederation of Wizards. My gates are crowded with Aurors trying to talk to , and there are probably Ministry wizards already surrounding the house. I can feel them. And that will only increase over the next few hours. It's very likely they'll send multiple squads here trying to approach ." He spoke plainly.
"My God..." Mrs. Evans couldn't help but place a hand over her mouth, worried.
"Don't worry. Their problem is with . Only with . And they won't make a move — otherwise, they would've done it already at Prince Manor."
"What do you plan to do? You're not going back to Hogwarts anymore, are you?" Lily asked, letting her curiosity lead her to question him.
"No, I wouldn't return to Hogwarts," Severus said. There was nothing left for him to do at the castle, while Mrs. Evans looked horrified. She seed unable to believe he would abandon school.
"I'll speak with Headmaster Dumbledore and I intend to take the final exams. I was the top student in the OWLs. I can very well do just fine in the NEWTs."
"Well, that's true. But you're being modest — Severus beca the highest-scoring student in Hogwarts history," Lily said, impressed.
"Wow, you never stop surprising us. Anyway, what do you plan to do? I don't think you're going to stay hidden forever, are you?" Mr. Evans asked, now with a more concerned tone.
"I intend to present myself to the Ministry and go through a hearing. They'll probably judge , want to understand my powers. Obviously, I won't reveal my secrets, but still, I'll explain my story. I think I owe that to the wizarding world, along with my motives and plans. Now, if they want to see as a monster and the next Dark Lord... well, I have no control over that — and it's their misfortune for choosing to live in fear," he said.
"I'm sure you'll get through this, Severus, and you can count on us. From what I've seen, you haven't hurt any innocent people. Even if I don't like knowing you've been killing people... they were bad people, right?" Mrs. Evans asked.
"That's obvious," Severus replied.
"Let's stop talking about such a grim subject and go back to the non-magical world. Severus, I'm interested in what you said about investing in Muggle companies. Tell us more about that," Mr. Evans said again, eager to hear from Severus and clearly interested in the topic.
Certainly, one subject he could connect with easily was everyday Muggle life, and it seed quite promising. Severus said he was investing in companies — much more promising than Venom himself, who was proud to be working as an intern at a drill sales company, while Severus seed focused on technology, especially in companies from the United States.
