Since the plot already changed from the novel I read, I doubted their eting would end up like in the canon story. She might be dead before even eting us if we ca late.

Whatever the case, it looked like she was in danger.

As I thought about what to do, the police girl suddenly regained consciousness and saw two n surrounding her.

"W-Where am I?"

"Hm? You woke up. We saved you from them, so I hope you repay us now."

"Yes, yes. As a police, you will not forget us who go through hell to save you, no? Huehehehe."

Both n looked at her with desire written all over their faces. Their goals beca clear to in an instant.

'Perverts.' I sneered ntally at them while tightening my grip on my sword.

Noticing it, the female police officer crawled backwards slowly, trying desperately to escape. But alas, due to fear, dizziness, and lack of energy, she couldn't muster up enough strength to stand up properly.

"D-don't co any closer!" She shouted feebly, but without much effect. Her voice only made the perverts grin wider.

"Don't shout too loud. What if you attract them here? You will kill all of us, miss officer!"

They cackled madly and approached her step by step. Their lecherous gazes swept over every inch of her exposed skin, admiring every detail of her youthful curves.

The situation had gone south rather quickly.

Even Saeko gritted her teeth seeing their act. Molester was sothing she hated the most. So did I, especially when these idiots always put everyone else in danger just because they wanted to touch a woman's body without their consent.

"Saeko-" I called out to my sister, "Can you kill an innocent person like them?"

This situation was different from when we were attacked by the police. This ti, we would be the one who attacked, an act vastly different from defending ourselves.

Saeko turned her gaze at , determination burning in her eyes.

Gripping the hilt of her katana tightly, she unsheathed the weapon with practiced ease and answered confidently without faltering. "If it is for saving the weak and helpless, killing isn't much of a problem."

"Just don't beco a mindless killer, okay?" I reminded her.

She nodded wordlessly as we moved closer to the storefront, preparing to strike anyti.

With my gesture, we swiftly took care of the one guarding the door. Saeko cut the man's throat and I caught his body, lowering it slowly to ensure silence.

"No-! D-Don't get closer!" The policewoman yelled loudly again, her body shaking uncontrollably as panic seized control of her entire being.

"Oh~ Don't be like that. Let's be nice together~" One guy laughed while grabbing onto her wrist.

He forcibly pinned both hands above her head and climbed atop her chest.

"NO-! GET AWAY FROM !!" She scread frantically as tears stread down her face.

At that mont, I already arrived behind the unsuspecting perpetrator. To avoid the police officer getting traumatized, I kicked the two n away at full strength. They were blown away into the glass doors and shelves, screaming painfully from their broken ribs.

"Get up! We're leaving this place!" I extended my hand to the terrified cop who sat dumbfounded on the ground.

She looked confused, but she managed to regain enough composure after hearing talk politely. Still visibly trembling, she struggled to stand back upright.

"Y-Yes."

We imdiately left the store. On our way out, I nodded at hiding Saeko, gesturing to her that it was fine to end the n now.

Earlier shout managed to attract so zombies, five of them, so I dealt with them with my sword. Beheading the nearest ones, I proceeded to kick the second toward the third and thrust my sword to impale all of them.

Taking advantage of my distraction, two last remaining undead tried to pounce from the sides. However, my Agility allowed to sense them beforehand, allowing to dodge their tackle and decapitate the heads.

Panting slightly, I looked toward the police officer and she seed stunned upon witnessing defeating the zombies like that. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if I was her.

"Brother."

Saeko joined us a mont later, wiping her bloody katana clean using her cloth.

"Are you finished?" I asked her, though I knew she wouldn't have trouble dealing with a bunch of unard, weak thugs like those lowlives.

"Yes. They are dead. All I did was slash their throats. No torture, no nothing." She explained in a low voice. A sadistic smile ford on her slightly flushed face.

Not forgetting that Saeko loved violence, I nodded my head approvingly and patted her head softly.

"This feels nice." She purred happily and closed her eyes like a cat.

'So cute.' I thought.

Then, I shifted my gaze toward the survivor that we saved. Her face blanched and her body still trembled from fear.

"Calm down. Breathe in, breathe out. Try to relax. You're safe now."

I guided her toward the wall and helped her lean against it, giving her space to catch her breath. This place was safer compared to inside the convenience store earlier.

Her ragged breathing gradually subsided, replaced by slow steady rhythm.

"I... I apologize. For causing you trouble like this." She finally spoke in a shaky voice. Her dark eyes filled with gratitude as she looked up at . "Thank you for saving . U-Umm, may I know your na?"

"I am Busujima Daiki. Call whatever you want. This is my sister, Busujima Saeko. And you are?"

"I... I am Nakaoka Asami," she introduced herself. "A police officer stationed nearby this place."

She was still visibly shaken despite her best efforts to conceal her emotions behind a professional mask, yet managed to speak normally.

And just as I expected. She was that police woman who died in the mall after so kid let the zombies enter.

Asami explained her predicant to afterward. Since the outbreak happened, the police departnt where she worked fell under complete chaos.

The city had basically collapsed under constant attack by the living dead, so naturally law enforcent agencies failed miserably to maintain order or protect civilians.

After she finished explaining how hopeless her situation was, she continued, "Thankfully I found refuge at the mall. The survivors took turn to get supplies, water, and food, so I escorted them because I had a gun, but..."

"But?"

"One of them turned into a zombie yesterday. Then everything beca crazy. My ammo ran out. Everyone scattered and abandoned ."

Her voice wavered as she spoke.

"Only a few people stayed in the mall now after driving out zombies. I had to use a lee weapon after that, which ended up making exhausted."

And she fainted after she reached the convenience store, only to wake up surrounded by two survivors who wanted to take advantage of her.

What a shitty, cliche zombie apocalypse situation.
