The simultaneous attacks of Talia, Shamac and Ana imdiately dissipated as Jared snapped his fingers.
This stunned the three of them as they were still headed in his direction, unable to stop mid flight. Their eyes bulged in shock and their mouths opened agape. I can't say I bla them.
Even I don't know how to feel about this. It's certainly not normal, what this child is doing. The annoying part is not knowing exactly what kind of existence this kid is.
"Co on, don't tell this is all you've got. How are you going to land a hit on with such sloppy attacks? How pathetic" Jared jeered.
Sloppy? That's how those attacks look to him? Talia's beam attacks move at light speed and Shamac's shadow, while not as fast, packs quite the power with excellent precision. However, the one that surprises the most is how he easily stopped Ana's attacks.
My 'Sacred Grade' Treasures are on par with Grade 2 Relics in this world. Twenty of such blades attacked him at the sa ti, yet he destroyed them in an instant along with Talia and Shamac's attack… All with a snap of his fingers.
I'll admit it, there's a lot about this boy I do not understand and I have underestimated him a tad bit, maybe due to the kind of people I have encountered since I revived and how unimpressive they were. No, that's not an excuse. I slipped up, this is sothing that I can't allow to happen in the future. After all, I'll be facing even more powerful and phenonal opponents in the future.
I have decided. I'll keep observing this battle and gain more understanding concerning this boy. Talia, Shamac, Ana, hang in there… Let use your battle to obtain even more information, all for the sake of my goal.
Talia increased her speed and dived further above, overtaking the remaining two. Her wings glowed brighter as she created many light orbs around her. Within monts she was right in front of Jared with her white spheres.
"Eat this" She said, maneuvering from her position, leaving the orbs right in front of him.,
"BOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!"
The blast covered the position of Jared, shining brightly throughout the vast space. The light dissipated, leaving traces of smoke as it vanished. Ana and Shamac braced themselves from their heights and watched the explosion Talia made with wonder, and a slight hope that her attack landed.
"Did I get him?" She said, watching the effect of the blast from her safe distance.
Of course not.
"That's funny. You thought that would do anything?" Jared's voice suddenly sounded.
Talia's eyes widened, but before she could react further he appeared behind her. His wide grin and enlarged eyes focused on her. He lifted his hands slightly and used his finger to touch her back.
"Wha-" She let out
Imdiately, an explosive blast surrounded Talia, twice as much as what she caused. The impact blew Shamac and Ana away from their position.
"Kyaaaa!!!" She scread as her body roasted in the heat of the blast.
She fell from her heights, losing consciousness as her body was covered with burn marks all over.
"Talia!!!" Shamac shouted, rushing to catch her before she crashed into the ground.
As he flew to reach her, Jared suddenly appeared by his side. Shamac slowly looked beside him as his eye caught his Jared's image.
"You should be more worried about yourself… Shifter" He said amusedly.
"You bastard!!!" Shamac growled with fury, launching his shadows to pierce Jared since he was in close proximity.
"Tsk tsk. You never learn, do you?" Jared shook his head in a mocking manner.
As the claws of Shamac's claws nearly pierced him with the intent of ripping him to shreds, Jared vanished from where he was and appeared right in front of Shamac who wasn't paying attention in that direction.
"Boo" He said, grinning at Shamac who was still flustered about Jared's whereabouts.
As he turned his face to react to Jared and attack him with his shadow, Jared stretched his hand to Shamac's face. In a mont, before Shamac could react, he placed his middle finger and thumb together, creating pressure as they rubbed together. He then released the middle finger. With the re flick of his fingers he sent Shamac flying away.
"Guahhhhhh" Shamac let out in pain.
His body spun out of control as it crashed into Talia's body and they both fell into the ground.
"BOOOOOOM!!!!!"
The loud impact caused by their crash reverberated throughout the space, causing smoke to emanate from the crash site. The gaping hole in the ground and the cracks surrounding it trembled as Shamac and Talia kept drilling into the ground still as a result of Jared's hit.
"Keukk" Shamac spat out blood as his entire body felt sore, bruised and badly battered.
Talia was still unconscious, so she couldn't render any expression of hurt. Shamac surrounded her with his shadow, preventing her further injury, but since it all happened too fast he neglected his own body, making him suffer the brunt of the impact.
Finally, they slowed down and halted, causing Shamac to let out a look of relief and winced in pain. If not for his Shapeshifting ability which created a shell that protected him and his shadows surrounding Talia, they would have definitely suffered greater damage.
His body throbbed as he struggled to rise, staring at the gaping hole which revealed the surface to him, but his body didn't respond to his will.
"I-I can't… Lose… Now…" He groaned, struggling push away the large rocks that covered him and Talia, and returning to the surface to continue the fight.
However, the rubble made from the crash refused to budge and his tensed, injured body couldn't do a thing but to strive helplessly as he kept looking up, hoping for Ana's success. After all, if any one of the three of them stand a chance, it's her.
"Ana… We're counting on you. Show that guy… Who's boss!" Shamac groaned as he spoke.
"Aaaaand that's two down" Jared said with a smirk, looking down at the crash site where Talia and Shamac got sent to.
"Let's hope the both of you can do better… Try not to disappoint , Kay?" He grinned widely.
