The night of the Harrison Gala had finally arrived, and Eleanor felt like a princess as she stepped out of the limousine and onto the red carpet.

The bright flash of caras and the soft glow of the evening lights illuminated the grand entrance of the luxurious mansion, casting a magical spell over the entire scene.

A few won were gathered at the corner of the entrance gossiping, as usual and checking out the dressing of the invited guests as they walked in.

As they made their way through the reception, Eleanor’s eyes widened in awe at the sheer opulence that surrounded her. The high ceilings, adorned with intricate chandeliers, seed to stretch up to the stars, while the marble floors glead like polished diamonds under the feet of the elegantly dressed guests.

Sebastian, looking dashing in his tailored tuxedo, offered Eleanor his arm, and she took it, feeling like a true celebrity as they glided through the crowds of people.

The air was filled with the soft hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, and the sweet strains of a live orchestra, creating a sense of sophistication and refinent that Eleanor had never experienced before.

As they entered the grand ballroom, Eleanor’s breath caught in her throat. The room was a masterpiece of elegance, with tables set with fine china, crystal glasses, and crisp white linens. The walls were adorned with exquisite artwork, and the ceiling was a dazzling display of colorful lights and patterns.

Sebastian led Eleanor to their table, where they were greeted by a flurry of familiar faces, including so of the most influential people in the city.

There was Mrs. Harrison, the hostess of the evening, resplendent in a stunning diamond necklace; Mayor Johnson, who was running for re-election; and several high-profile business leaders, all of whom seed to know Sebastian intimately.

"Wow, this is so beautiful." Eleanor scread, although it ca out like a whisper and Sebastian sighed turning to her.

"I think we need to establish so ground rules first before anything."

Eleanor took her eyes off everything and frowned up at him. "What do you an by that?"

"People here are not as nice as they seem," he pointed towards the won at the corner and sighed. "I know these people and all these smiles you see are just a facade to hide the real person underneath."

"I’ll go get us a drink?" Sebastian said and headed straight to the wine cellar.

The cocktail hour was in full swing, with guests mingling and laughing over champagne and canapés.

Eleanor sat in her seat, looking at the brilliantly lit table, carefully observing the dining habits of others.

The food there was exquisite, emitting this tempting aroma, and each dish seed like a work of art.

It was as if she had eaten sothing wrong, and there was a constant feeling of vomiting coming through, making her feel very uncomfortable.

Eleanor couldn’t stand the feeling anymore, and walked to the restroom.

After a while, she felt better and when she was ready to return to her table, when the two won they had t at the entrance approached Eleanor with sly smiles.

"Darling, you look stunning tonight," Mrs. White, one of the won added. "That dress was made for you."

Eleanor thanked them graciously, but their next comnt made her eyes widen in shock.

"We heard that your husband, Liam, is in so kind of trouble. Sothing about embezzlent?" They whispered, their eyes glinting with malice.

"Ha ha ha’" The won’s laughter echoed through the restroom. "No matter how you try to hide it, it doesn’t change the fact that you are married to a dangerous man whom you barely know."

Their words struck Eleanor’s chest like a bomb, and she knew those won were right. But she needed to speak up for herself and defend her husband.

But just as she was about to talk, Sebastian walked in and interrupted them.

He had been monitoring those won and how they went into the restroom imdiately Eleanor did. He figured out she was in trouble.

"I think you must be mistaken, ladies," he said with a charming smile. "Liam is doing wonderfully well. He’s just...ah...indisposed tonight."

The won exchanged skeptical glances, but Sebastian’s confident tone seed to deflect their curiosity. They moved on, leaving Eleanor looking relieved.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian’s voice interrupted Eleanor’s lost thought.

She hesitated before answering. "Ye..yes, I’m fine."

The evening went on with a talk about business. But just as the festivities reached its peak, Reginald Pembly, the host, took the stage.

"Ladies and gentlen, please join in congratulating Sebastian Richards, representing the Chase family, on securing the prestigious multi-million dollar contract with Harrison Industries."

The room erupted in applause as Sebastian made his way to the stage, Eleanor by his side. Reginald shook Sebastian’s hand and congratulated him on this achievent.

Sebastian gave a brief speech, thanking Harrison Industries for the opportunity and expressing his confidence that the Chase family’s company would deliver exceptional results. As he finished, Reginald turned to him with a smile.

"Sebastian, congratulations again. I have to ask, what does this contract an for the Chase family’s business?"

Sebastian thought for a mont before responding. "This contract represents a significant milestone for our family’s business. We’re excited to work with Harrison Industries and contribute to the growth and developnt of our community."

The audience applauded again, and Reginald turned to Eleanor. "And Eleanor, as Sebastian’s partner, how do you feel about this significant achievent?"

Eleanor smiled. "I’m incredibly proud of Sebastian and the Chase family. This contract is a testant to their hard work and dedication."

Just as the host was about to wrap up the question and answer session, a voice rang out from the back of the room.

"I object!" The room fell silent, with all eyes searching the mysterious speaker.

Sebastian’s eyes widened in shock as he recognized the strange voice. He hadn’t expected to see this face in his entire life.
