"Father... Who the hell is that boy?"

Susan asked, irritation dripping from her voice.

"And what kind of weird magic did he just use?"

She added, eyebrows furrowed in disbelief, confused how he reversed the trajectory back to her, and changed the nature of her spell.

Father Magla only responded calmly, though his eyes remained narrowed in thought.

"... It’s strange, isn’t it?! I can’t say for certain. He feels human...but not entirely. He is overflowing with Monster Energy that much I am sure of, more than I’ve ever sensed in another of his kind. I can’t even begin to gauge his true limit."

He paused before continuing, his voice lower now.

"But... there was sothing familiar about his scent. He slled of two individuals I know well, Alustus, the late Sidhe King, and Berreta, his second wife. Alustus was a pure Monster, while Berreta was a Half-Demon and half-monster. I was already in contact with a few of the Monster World. So adding another powerful Monster to his vast network of supernatural connections was always sothing he aid for."

"So, getting to know this mysterious king better, I ended up selling a few slaves to him eight months ago."

Father Magla admitted.

"But due to how dangerous he was, I planted a spy among the slaves to keep tabs on him."

"From the last report I received from my little worm... Alustus was killed by a mysterious being five months ago. A creature powerful enough to overthrow a guy like him is bound to be strong."

"And that boy... he carries the scent of different Sidhe altogether. I suspect he is that very unknown force that killed Alustus."

He bluntly announced to Susan, who at this point began to scratch her head.

"...Ah, I’ve got to admit, though, that little bastard is strong. Maybe we should assemble a team to deal with him."

"That would be the ideal move, but he is not alone. That woman with him... she is Nyx Van Hellsing... Rank Three Captain of the Hellsing Supernatural Organization. She is not soone to take lightly."

"So we can also say he is affiliated with the Hellsing family with that fact alone."

Susan added.

And Father Magla nodded while saying.

"Exactly."

Susan clicked her tongue.

"That place seems to be guarded by so serious firepower. So, what now? We need that property to expand the reach of our domain, and we’ll have to deal with the rest of those unwilling fools, too."

"Hehehe... We did try peaceful negotiation."

Father Magla said, his voice full with dark humor.

"But it’s about ti things got physical. Besides, tonight is the Summoning Ritual. Twenty new Chosen will be gifted to us by our Great Mother."

"Glory be to the Dark Mother."

Susan said with a smile.

The two walked along the sidewalk, blending into a crowd of robed cultists. Hundreds of crimson-cloaked figures filled the streets. Around them, tents and makeshift bases buzzed with communication centers, magical and scientific in nature.

This was the main stronghold of the Cult of the New Order, nestled in the heart of Sector C.

As they neared a massive warehouse at the edge of the district, a new figure stepped into view, a seductive demonic woman, bare and proud.

Her skin was a soft, glowing pink. Her long brown hair flowed down her back. Her naked form revealed an obscene confidence. Plump, large breasts pierced with hooked rings, connectedby a thin red chain. Her eyes shimred with a serpentine glow, purple-pink in color, and predatory. Behind her, a long, spined tail swayed lazily, and on her head bore two large jet-black demon horns.

"Dearest Father."

She called.

"Right on ti, I see?"

"Good to see you’re well, Madam Orchid."

She chuckled softly.

"Fufufu... Tonight is special. Naturally, I had to be here. Besides, without , the ritual cannot begin."

"That is true."

Father Magla said with a grin.

"Are preparations complete?"

"Yes. Everything is ready."

"Then let us proceed."

Susan and Orchid stepped ahead, leading the way deeper into the stronghold. They entered a large, shadow-drenched warehouse. Flickering light spilled out through cracks in the rotted walls.

Inside, four cloaked figures knelt around a massive summoning circle, chanting in an ancient, guttural tongue, low and dreadful, like sothing pulled from the roots of Hell itself.

Orchid ascended the stone altar. Her sultry smile faded as she glanced back at Father Magla.

"With your permission... I shall begin."

"You may."

"Mhm... Good."

Orchid knelt, lowering her arms with ritualistic grace. Her eyes closed as the moon illuminated her form. The, she began to recite the incantation, chanting in a forgotten language.

"Zarakh-vi ldgruphus, Nihl’Tar Vezh-Ra! Or’Khal Vuun-Ratha, Vesht’rath Malgora, Ak’zen Dur Veyuun-Thar...Kesh’zul Vha-zarak, darah ur’val-thul. Ish’narak kheth Zul-Korah, va Nar’Xith ar’Rhul."

"Ahzul’ven thra’kul veyuun zar’thek...varnak sel’keth, nurech vel Xar, khor’vah nek’tulhal’thekh! Ul-zar Val-resh voth Azarak. Xan’ther vak’zul, narek dul’vesh, ith’gura kel’dor."

"Kharn’thul vek shal-nara. Khezen-tor! Zel’varan! Akhul’thera!"

[Logical Void — Human World]

[Earth — Plato’s Island — Saint Clastoe Private High]

"Alright, eyes up front everyone, rember this, it will be coming up on next week text."

Dr. Halden set her tablet down and stepped away from the whiteboard. Sunlight poured through the tall windows, catching faint dust in the air. The room slled faintly of new textbooks and clean uniforms.

"Today...

She said.

"We’re going to talk about Multiverse Theory, or rather how our own Multiverse is set up... And Donald dont you dare fall asleep in my class again.

That got a few chuckles out of the students even Kayla smiled a little, quietly, to herself.

Dr. Halden tapped the board, and a simple diagram appeared, a line, branching into several paths like a tree.

"At its core."

She said, then continued.

"The Forbes Multiverse Theory is that the universe is just one of infinite out there, other worlds that are so different and alien, or similar parrel ones. Every ti a decision is made, or an event could have gone another way, a new universe splits off where that different outco happens."

She drew a dot on one of the branches.

"You chose cereal for breakfast? Another universe exists where you chose toast. One where you skipped breakfast. One where you never woke up at all."

A few students shifted in their seats.

"It’s not magic as amazing as it may sound."

She continued.

"It’s physics... A way to explain how quantum particles behave unpredictably. Instead of saying one thing happens or the other... Forbes Multiverse Theory, the first person to traverse and study it, suggests both happen, in separate universes."

The diagram grew more complex, each branch dividing again and again.

She looked around the room.

"Now...why does this matter to you?"

No one answered. Not even the kids in the front.

Kayla kept her eyes low, but she was listening carefully.

Dr. Halden smiled faintly.

"Since the discovery of Multiversal Travel, it is 100% possible that sowhere out there, there’s another version of you. Soone who made different choices. Lived a different life. Or diverge differently from what you do here in this world."

Kayla lowered her head just a little more.

Her pen finally moved, scribbling down.

"Ahhh, all this is just so boring."

She whispered mostly to herself.

She wore the Saint Clastoe academy uniform like it was armor, buttoned to the collar, skirt hem precise, tie always straight. Her long black hair hung down her back in a clean, unstyled sheet. Not a strand out of place. Her skin was pale, almost porcelain.

She had deep erald green eyes.

She looked British, and technically, she was. But her mother was Japanese, which made her... not quite either, and not quite both. A half-and-half who never quite felt whole.

She also wore glasses.

At her desk, she typed with quiet focus, her fingers moving chanically across the keyboard as she highlighted Dr. Halden’s words on Forbes Multiverse Theory.

To everyone else, she was just the quiet girl.

Right after she even took the information on the board and wrote down as much as she can in her notebook as well.

[Forbes Multiverse Theory — each choice = new world... Multiple realities... Different selves]

But as continue to write, her hand slipped toward the corner of her desk, flipping the bottom half of her textbook open just enough to hide the slim, creased volu tucked inside.

A clear look at the book, one can tell it was Manga of so sort. Black-and-white, slightly battered, and absolutely not allowed in class.

The title was long as most manga is these days: The Demon King’s Devotion: I Fell for the Hero Who Was Supposed to Kill .

Kayla had read it five tis.

She knew every panel, and even in the series. But sothing about it still pulled at her chest like a wish she was too embarrassed to say out loud.

She turned the page with her thumb.

The Demon King had just caught the hero mid-fall...arms around her waist, one clawed hand pressed against her lower back, eyes full of dominant confidence."

Kayla’s lips twitched faintly.

’If only...

She thought.

’Maybe in another world, soone like that would find .’

She glanced up.

Dr. Halden was still speaking, pacing slowly, hands gesturing toward the multiverse diagram now glowing with dozens of branching threads.

But as she explain further Kayla notice the sudden glow on the ground.

"Is that a Magic Circle?!"

Wide, perfect, and glowing beneath the feets of everyone in the class room, etched into the tile, the desks, and the walls. Symbols burned into the surface, impossibly complex, twisting inwards like a living spiral.

Kayla’s breath caught.

As it beca increasingly brigther.

The language embedded in it wasn’t from any earthly that was for sure.

The room went dead silent, then burst into noise.

"What the hell!!"

"Is this part of the lesson... another hologram pheraphs."

"Wait, don’t touch it!"

"DR. HALDEN!?"

But it was too late.

The circle lit all at once, white first, then violet, then a pulsing blood-red glow that filled every inch of space like pressure from the deep ocean.

"OOOOHHH!!.. Uugh! I feel sick."

Kayla said holding her stomach, until she couldn’t take it anymore, and suddenly voomit up her last al.

"BBBLLUUURFHAAAA...

But to her suprise, she wasn’t the only one, all the other students, where vomiting in every corner.

"What the hell is even happening to m-EE BRURGHAAA...

Bryan shouted, the sudden wave of nausea hitting him like a truck.

By now, they were all suspended in a colorless white void. It seem endless in scope, and also sterile, and blinding, like an empty page, or a infinite Canvas.

Then, a voice echoed through the emptiness.

"YOOOO!"

Kayla looked up, along with several others, eyes locking on the figure that had appeared.

It was a small girl, no older than ten, maybe eleven, wearing a simple white dress. Her skin was a deep, rich brown, and wild red hair spilled down her back like a flaming sea of red. Perched atop her head were a pair of short black horns, cute in size but unmistakably demonic.

Her eyes were a piercing crimson, frad by thick red lashes and set within black sclera. She grinned wide revealing rows of sharp, jagged teeth in a face that radiated chaos.

Barefoot, standing effortlessly on the nothingness around her, she folded her arms with confidence and declared.

"Huhuhuh... Welco, humans from another world. I am the Demon Goddess Vileth, the Dark Mother. Rejoice, little amoebas, you have been summoned to beco my Chosen. You shall lead the frontlines alongside the other Worshipers of the New Order."
