Nyx asked Adam, who at this mont was holding the headless body of Alustus corpse in his hands.
The wounds was a straight clean cut at the neck, while Alustus head role a little bit to the side.
Seeing this Nyx looked at this small creature and said with intrigued awe in her eyes.
It was not so long ago that her Lord had inford he of the good news of Adam recent feat of taking over a kingdom of powerful monsters by killing it’s king.
"He twice as big as the other Sidhe, Hmmm, yeah although it is faint, I can tell the quality of his Monster Energy is that of an A-Rank, and it way better than other A-Rank Sidhe currently here."
"Hmm... you can tell the difference between types of Monster Energy?"
Adam asked, a bit surprised. Nyx hearing this of course just nodded, her voice calm and matter-of-fact.
"Yeah!"
She said bluntly, then began speaking once more.
"Monster Energy has distinct properties, each type flows differently, almost like a biological signature. Even if two individuals belong to the sa species, their energy isn’t...well exactly the sa you know. And that is mostly because because every Monster naturally cultivates their energy based on their body’s structure, biology, and power output, making it highly personalized, what you eat, or how you progress will always be different, making each evolution unique."
"Over ti, this energy can influence the Monster’s genetic code, leading to mutations and the developnt of new and unique traits as they age or progress, in my case, well in most tahumans case, we kind of get vastly mutated or variant ability of our Monster Parents, my horns and eyes for example, it is similar to Minerva’s but they operate differently from hers. Monster Energy in a way works sowhat like how radiation does, except instead of damaging cells, it reshapes and evolves them in a controlled, supernatural way in line with the lineage it cos from. This is also how Monsters are able to create Spawns from humans, and other living being by infusing a portion of their Monster Energy into a human cell, as a result they trigger a forced mutation, causing the human to evolve into a tahumans."
Adam raised a brow, intrigued by her vivid explanation. He didn’t know much about tahumans, especially since this alternate universe differed significantly from the canon lore.
The way things operated here, along with the influence of other AUs, changed a lot of established rules.
Any prior knowledge he had was practically useless now. And for that reason alone, he replied by saying.
"Huh. I didn’t know that. So... what about ? Can you tell what the quality of my Monster Energy is?"
"Sure, babe. Let take a closer look."
Nyx’s eyes began to glow a soft purple behind her veil, as she began to stare deeper into Adam, and it wasn’t long before she was what she wanted. A mont later, the light faded.
"C-Rank quality."
She nodded slightly... impressed and proud even.
"As expected of Lord Adam."
"Most Stage 1 tahumans like yourself usually start at D-Rank or lower you know. You’re kind of like back in the day, back when Lady Minerva first turn into her Spawn."
Said Nyx, Adam however was not so much impressed, as his reply said it all.
"Just C-Rank?!"
Adam reacted with clear disappointnt, but Nyx quickly stepped in to explain this was not a bad thing.
"Yeah, but you’re a special case. Even with C-Rank Monster Energy, you’re still a Peak S-Class being just by virtue of being a Shinso. Rember, Shinso is the final evolution of any race. All Shinso existences are scaled to that tier by default you know."
She paused for emphasis before continuing.
"S-Class ans you have infinite energy, how that infinite energy manifests varies by race, but infinite is infinite in any shape or form. And from what Minerva told , you’re a unique case, given that Priscilla forcefully turned you into a Shinso Human. Mind you, I didn’t even know humans had a Shinso form until recently."
Nyx looked at him a little more seriously now.
"The energy your cells produce isn’t like normal Monster Energy. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it is usually different from Shinso, to Shinso. You would probably need to run so experints to understand what your cells are generating. But what I can see is this...your body is using your Shinso energy as a kind of power source to fuel your Monster Energy."
"So even though your Monster Energy is only C-Rank in quality."
She continued.
"You have infinite energy output because your Monster Energy is constantly being fed by your Shinso Energy. That ans you can use your powers, passive or active, without ever having to worry about running out. Believe it or not, reaching that state is the ultimate goal for most Monsters and tahumans. You’re lucky, you never have to think about energy conservation. Even better, your abilities hit far harder than what you would expect from soone with C-Rank quality, simply because you have enough raw energy to perform advanced techniques that should be out of your reach at that level. But because of how unique your evolution is, you basically bypassed the normal rules. Most Monsters and tahumans have to carefully manage their energy reserves during battle, until they reach the Shinso stage where they don’t have to worry a out energy every again, but you beca a Shinso existence before you even properly beca a tahuman."
She smirked slightly, nodding her head at how special and unique Adam was compare to any Monster or tahuman out there.
Our she was just fan girling as per usual.
"Basically, your body is weird my lord, harmonious, in a contradictory way. You are both weak and strong at the sa ti. Where you lack in quality, you make up in quantity. Where you lack in quantity, you sohow compensate with quality. You get what I’m saying?"
"Well, I already knew so of that, but still, thank you for teaching all this new information about Monster Energy. It’s a greater gift than you realize... hehe. For this, I’ll definitely reward you later."
"REWARD!!"
Nyx perked up like an intrigued puppy. If she had ears and a tail, they would definitely be wagging uncontrollably right now.
"Another reward, huh...? But now you owe two! Hmph! When do I get the first one?"
She asked with pleading eyes. Seeing this, Adam sighed and replied.
"Fine. Na your reward, Nyx. Just keep in mind, I’m not insanely overpowered like my sisters, so don’t wish for sothing super absurd."
Adam said clearly, drawing a line right then and there, after all, what if Nyx wish for sothing impossible, like the death of soone across alternate and non-alternate tilines at once. Or wish to beco a God, or anything around those godly feats his sisters could probably pull off.
But her reaction was not what Adam was expecting.
"I WILL NEVER...
Nyx suddenly shouted, catching Adam completely off guard.
"A-Ah! Sorry, um, sorry... I just...I don’t want you to think I would ever use you or your position like that."
She looked down, then took a breath and continued more softly.
"Sigh... Still, a promise is a promise, right? So... so... if it’s okay with you, could you... could you go to The Obsidian Rose with ? For my first wish?"
"Did you just sat... The Obsidian Rose?!"
Adam asked suddenly taking Nyx by surprise as he grabbed her hand, his eyes wide open.
"Did you?!"
He confird, seeing this, Nyx look away given how close he was and it made her heart flutter.
"Ahhh Yes... Um do you pheraphs know what The Obsidian Rose is Adam?!"
Nyx asked, a little surprised that Adam even know of that place to which Adam replied.
"Of course I know what the Obsidian Rose is. It’s known for serving the best food in all of Kasident...right there on Grallik Street. Despite being a bar, it is also famous for its gothic aesthetic and music scene."
He said aloud, then thought to himself.
’It’s also where that girl is... one of the main heroines from the original HDXD Series. Her mom owns the place, and she was a main heroine too. An ex-captain of the Supernatural Society.’
As Adam finished speaking, he felt Nyx gently grab his hand. Her voice followed, soft and a little shy, cheeks flushed beneath her veil.
"So... I was wondering... and the girls are planning to host a crowd for our new album tommarow night, so if it is find with you, do you want to I don’t know co to see play?"
Hearing this Adam’s eyes open widely in suprise, but he manage to keep his cool, as he calmly replied.
"Co with you ha?! Hmmm.... Sure, why not, I see no fault with this, so it’s a date then?"
"Yeah sure babe, you can leave with when I am ready to enter back into the human world, now then, what are your plans for the rest of the day?!"
