After finishing his conversation with Athrun, Reid went out and found Lacus and Cagalli, who were taking a walk. He then left Cagalli's house with Lacus.
The cooperation with Athrun could not be put down on paper—it relied entirely on trust.
Fortunately, Athrun's credibility in Reid's eyes was higher than any signed agreent between nations, after all, treaties were made to be torn up.
However, Athrun was likely in for a rather stimulating night. Cagalli would definitely try to probe him about their conversation, and Reid could only hope Athrun wouldn't lose his head amid her charms and spill everything.
Of course, Reid was also quite busy that night. With a rare opportunity for so alone ti with Lacus, he naturally planned to enjoy a proper date and engage in so deeper communication.
Thus, Reid returned to the New Misurugi Kingdom early the next morning, and his first order of business upon returning was to summon Mikazuki back from Europe.
The main purpose of calling Mikazuki back was to upgrade the Gundam Barbatos Lupus, which Reid intended to transform into an Angel Form, distinct from the Emperor Form.
As for why Akihiro didn't return, it was simply because the Gundam Gusion's fra wasn't urgently needed for the Garibaldi Rebake's upgrade. Moreover, the frontlines at the Old Capital Base required at least one beam-immune Mobile Suit to maintain enough pressure on the enemy, ensuring they wouldn't dare to attack even if the Gundam Barbatos Lupus was absent for a few days.
However, Reid didn't make too many changes to the Gundam Barbatos Lupus Angel Form.
Essentially, he replaced the jetpack originally installed for brute-force mobility with the Halo Propulsion Wing System.
He also removed the original Tail Blade, directly replacing it with an Arm Blade capable of 360-degree rotation on the arm.
Of course, this Arm Blade could still be deployed for attacks. Equipped with a Hashmal-style connection rope that functioned like muscle in atmospheric conditions, once deployed, it could deliver powerful thrusting attacks, just like in the animation. Reid's version also included a certain degree of cutting capability.

Additionally, Mikazuki would also serve as the test pilot, responsible for testing the startup and operation of the other Mobile Suits in Tekkadan.
In short, after rushing back in a hurry, Mikazuki had just bid farewell to the Gundam Barbatos Lupus when he found himself facing four new Gundams that required testing, instantly feeling overwheld by the pressure.
First was the fra of the Gundam Flauros.
Reid had no intention of equipping the Gundam Flauros with just a few pitiful Electromagnetic Cannons and machine guns as in the original. Since the AC micro nuclear fusion reactor and the Ahab Reactor could be used together, Reid could confidently add more firepower, resulting in the creation of the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros.
First, the two shoulder cannons on the backpack were directly upgraded to Magnum Cannons.
Originally, Reid had considered equipping it with the Wing Gundam Zero One Destroyer Beam Rifle, but its rapid-fire capability was questionable. Moreover, in squad-based combat, there was a risk of being unable to fire due to allies engaging in close-quarters combat with the enemy. Thus, Reid downgraded the configuration to Magnum Cannons.
If there was ever a need to attack heavily fortified positions, they could simply equip the Wing Gundam Zero's True Destroyer Beam Rifle.
Between the two Magnum shoulder cannons, Reid also installed two Telescoping Long-Range Electromagnetic Cannons.
The waist originally had two fixed mounts, and Reid built a high-energy laser cutter into each mount, making them perfect close-range ambush weapons.
At the sa ti, to ensure that the recoil from the four shoulder cannons wouldn't destabilize the Mobile Suit in space, Reid also equipped the backpack with two propulsion rockets and a Z Gundam-Type Large Balance Thruster.
This propulsion setup was a classic case of brute force overcoming limitations, allowing the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros to fly and cruise at high speeds even in atmospheric environnts.
However, this flight mode was similar to the Zeta Era's Byarlant, essentially limited to straightforward, linear flight.
It wasn't that Reid was unwilling to equip the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros with a Halo Propulsion Wing System; there simply wasn't enough space on the backpack.
Of course, since it was called the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros, Reid made sure to provide ample armor.
This unit was primarily designed for stationary fire support, so Reid ensured that all its skeletal fra was covered with dual armor.
(The TPS Armor Mode, consisting of an inner layer of Phase Shift Armor and an outer layer of Nano-Laminate Armor, will be referred to as dual armor from now on.)
However, to address steering issues during atmospheric flight, the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros also had two arm guards with thrusters on the left and right, mainly used for attitude adjustnts.
When needed, these could also be used for close combat, as Reid equipped the front ends of the arm guards with beam rams capable of instantly destroying electronic beam shields.
As for handheld weapons, the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros had no fixed armants. It could dual-wield beam rifles, dual-wield gatling guns, or dual-wield buster beam rifles as desired.
In fact, aside from bazookas—which couldn't be dual-wielded due to lack of shoulder space—this Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros could dual-wield almost any weapon Reid had available.
In terms of special systems, this unit was similar to the previous Gundam Barbatos Lupus and Garibaldi Rebake.
However, considering that the unit sotis needed to remain hidden in place, Reid added an extra Obscurant Umbrella System.
Finally, inspired by the Re-GZ's BWS System, Reid also developed an MA Sortie Form for the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros. By attaching a semi-covered streamlined fairing that could double as a shield and locking it into place, the unit could essentially mimic a large fighter aircraft.
The main purpose of this system was to allow the bulky Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros to quickly reach designated positions on the battlefield. Once deployed, the discarded fairing could even serve as a large shield for other Mobile Suits.
Testing of the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros proceeded smoothly, with all designs eting their intended goals. The only exception was Mikazuki's still-average marksmanship—though his reactions were quick, he struggled to gauge the timing for long-range shots without system assistance. However, Nolba likely wouldn't have this issue.
This ti, Reid fixed the unit's color as tallic black, so Nolba could forget about repainting it in a macho Barbie pink.
After all, Mobile Suits were state property of the New Misurugi Kingdom, and if Reid truly forbade color changes, Nolba could at most add so personalized markings.
Following the Heavy Armant Type Gundam Flauros was the Gundam Kimaris Angel.
The so-called Gundam Kimaris Angel was essentially the Gundam Kimaris Vidar, with the only difference being that Reid equipped its back with wings identical to those of the Gundam Barbatos Lupus's Angel Form.
The system aspects remain identical to the first two Gundam Fras, while Reid only made minor modifications to the armants.
The lance was changed to the Ahead type, featuring a rifle mode, with four small beam cannons installed at the base of the lance.
Reid outright removed the knee drill launcher from the mobile suit, as it would compromise the knee's structural integrity. If knee attacks were truly necessary, installing a ramming horn would be more effective. For those reluctant to part with the knee drill, mounting points could be added on the thighs to carry drill missiles instead.
For the combat sword, Reid directly adopted the physical sword with a beam edge from the ZAFT Blaze Zaku Phantom Type to ensure the mobile suit could handle various situations.
Of course, Reid didn't waste the long horn on the head of the Gundam Kimaris Angel, inherited from the Gundam Kimaris Vidar. Utilizing technology from Hashmal's tail blade, this horn could be fired to pierce enemy mobile suits.
However, due to its location on the head, the connecting wires were short and thin, limiting its use to close-quarters combat and significantly reducing its power.
Fortunately, this weapon was primarily intended to destroy enemy head-mounted monitors and had a special advantage against mobile suits with cockpits located in the head.
Finally, the chanical arm shields on both sides were modified into composite attack shields, each equipped with a heavy ion beam cannon to compensate for the mobile suit's weak long-range attack capabilities.
Since the Gundam Kimaris Angel underwent minimal structural changes, it passed testing without issue. Reid decided to assign this mobile suit to Dante Mogro, whose balanced abilities made him well-suited to piloting it.
However, the smooth testing of the first two mobile suits did not extend to the third.
The third mobile suit was based on the Gundam Gremory Fra.
Since the original appearance of the Gundam Gremory did not align with Reid's aesthetic preferences, he completely overhauled its exterior design.
The alien-like head of the original design served a functional purpose, as the Gundam Gremory's signature feature was its wire-controlled weapon, the "Surgical Feather," similar to wire-controlled funnels. While the Alaya-Vijnana System provided spatial awareness, it was chanical in nature, and controlling multiple targets required a significant number of auxiliary sensors.
However, the "Surgical Feather" was excessively large, and its connecting cables could not manipulate it like muscles. While it functioned adequately in space, in atmospheric environnts, the "Surgical Feather" itself needed to provide so propulsion.
Since the funnel weapon required its own propulsion, Reid saw it as essentially the sa as the wire-controlled funnels used on the Brave Gundam in the previous war.
Reid had access to nurous lightweight and highly effective cutting weapons, making the bulky and cumberso "Surgical Feather" unnecessary.
Moreover, Reid's psycho-sensor system was superior to that of the Gundam Gremory, allowing for a reduction in head sensors and preventing the head from taking on an alien-like appearance.
Thus, Reid ultimately sharpened the head protrusion forward, shaping it into a beak-like structure. The massive "Surgical Feather" components were replaced with wire-controlled cutting wings equipped with a halo propulsion wing system.
Additionally, these cutting wings were fitted with beam emitters capable of firing beams with power comparable to a standard beam rifle but with half the range, similar to a beam pistol.
Finally, two round shields with beam emitters were added to the arms, and the hand interfaces were properly configured, completing the developnt of the Gundam Gremory Deathbird.
However, during testing of this mobile suit, Mikazuki experienced severe discomfort.
The other equipnt was fine, but he could only control three Floating Cutting Wings at most simultaneously; adding even one more was impossible, and he couldn't even deploy four cutting wings at once.
After calling Nein over for analysis, it was ultimately determined that there was likely an issue with the connection between the head's Psycho-Sensor System and the Alaya-Vijnana System. The two systems probably hadn't been sufficiently integrated, resulting in the ability to control only a small number of cutting wings at a ti.
Thus, the Gundam Gremory Deathbird had to be temporarily stored in the warehouse for adjustnts when ti allowed. It wouldn't be ready in ti for the upcoming Eurasian Federation battle.
Fortunately, the final mobile suit developed from the Gundam Asmodeus Fra passed its tests.
The Gundam Asmodeus Fra was quite plain and unadorned, with its original weapons consisting only of two Giant Tonfas with integrated Wrist Tonfa Cannons, a 110mm Rifle, and a Giant Javelin.
These weapons were highly impractical in the CE Universe, so Reid replaced them entirely.
Since Reid had planned in advance for this mobile suit to be piloted by Tekkadan's commander, Orga, his goal from the start was to maximize its defensive capabilities while ensuring a certain level of mobility. As for offense, equipping it with a Beam Rifle and a Beam Saber would suffice.
Accordingly, Reid installed four additional chanical Arms on the mobile suit, each fitted with a Super Large Shield.
Of course, these four shields weren't just shields—they also functioned as a Light Wave Barrier System and a Signal Reception Amplifier.
Additionally, the edges of the shields could transform into Heat Blades, and their interiors contained a Folding Sword Hilt Structure. If close combat beca necessary, one could be detached and used as a blunt weapon or an oversized sword.
In terms of mobility, the mobile suit was equipped with a Large Rocket Booster, ensuring high-speed atmospheric cruising capabilities.
(This roughly matches the image below.)
This mobile suit was primarily intended to serve as a command hub, so this configuration was sufficient. After all, Orga currently only commanded from the sidelines during battles, rarely even firing his weapon unless enemies were right in his face.
If not for the risk of enemies detecting his position through radio waves during continuous external communication, he would undoubtedly remain cloaked and observe while commanding from the battlefield's edge.
After two days of testing, the remodeled Gundam Barbatos Lupus in its Angel Form was also successfully tested by Mikazuki on the second day.
Once that was done, Reid prepared to take Mikazuki to Europe.
Since the Gran Chaos would need to stage a performance in Ireland later, and in case the defenders of Paradise Island actually erged, powerful combat capabilities would be required there.
Therefore, Reid decided not to bring any of the main mbers of his Otherworld Exploration Team to the Old Capital Base.
However, considering that his phase mission would be completed once ZAFT entered the Eurasian Federation, he needed to exploit a timing gap to complete the final G Invasion Mission. For this reason, Ange needed to remain aboard the Gran Chaos.
As for the upcoming Black Sea Campaign, Reid planned to accomplish it with the mbers of the Archangel and Tekkadan.
Of course, so of the repaired Virgo IIs would also need to be brought to the European battlefield, so Reid ultimately decided to deploy the Archangel and the Eternal Peace for this operation.
The new captain of the Eternal Peace was Grodek Ainoa, who had served as captain of the Aries for far too long and was long overdue for a promotion.
However, since returning from Hawaii Island, Reid had been caught up in various busy matters, completely overlooking a troubleso pair.
This troubleso pair was Stella and Shinn.
After equipping Stella with the Endurance Heart Skill, her issues of being shy and prone to fear-driven retaliatory killing were indeed greatly alleviated.
anwhile, Shinn, having finally returned to the country and with his sister Mayu not around, naturally thought of visiting Stella to see how she had been doing lately.
Normally, Shinn had no qualifications to enter the imperial palace—in fact, he couldn't even send a ssage inside.
But fate between these two was just that magical. While Shinn was struggling with how to get into the palace, he happened to run into Stella, who had already gained the courage to venture out to crowded places.
Once these two t, it was like dry wood eting a blazing fire—they ignited instantly.
During Reid's period of seclusion, their relationship heated up rapidly, almost reaching the point of physical intimacy.
So, when Shinn was about to be taken out again by Reid, Stella, with her full set of special agent skills, managed to sneak onto the Archangel, giving Reid a huge surprise.
