And so, when the Lineages finally made an appearance on this day, all eyes fell upon them in awe and trepidation, knowing that the origin of these fellows was not simple at all.
Nadia tapped her mic and waved to the cara, wearing a black blazer with a white blouse underneath that covered her rather expressive chest, as well as a formal skirt that was quite tight around her hips, causing many who stood behind her to take covert peeks over… both male and female.
She was also standing in the main reception area of the Alps Summit Center, with all eyes focused on her.
Externally, the Alps Summit Center looked majestic.
It was built into the natural plateau near the peak of the famous Graian Alps, so the structure blended seamlessly with its snowy environnt, giving the impression of a futuristic fortress carved from the very mountain itself.
It had an angular shape along with obsidian-colored paint that was proudly displayed through the specially designed heat-dispersing nano-glass panels that adjusted tint and transparency based on weather conditions.
One could see lines of glowing blue circuitry along the exterior panels like a digital nervous system, pulsing gently in a stable rhythm that was managed at the low-level AI in charge of the facility's operations.
The summit center was a wide and sprawling complex shaped like a stretched hexagon, each of its six 'wings' leading to a separate sector ant for either residential, security, logistics, administration, diplomacy, or public access.
At the center of it all was a massive half-do structure with a reinforced transparent roof. Through it, satellites and drones could easily peer inside and capture the scenes playing out within, broadcasting them worldwide to billions.
The front area was already chok-full of various people, all looking upwards to see the majestic arrival of the Lineages, with Nadia in the lead and making sure that everyone watching her now famous station could see the view.
"Hello everyone and its , Nadia Turin, your favorite Vampire News Reporter!" She greeted everyone in a cheery manner, showing off her fangs which had been trending online for a while.
Seeing such a beautiful woman reveal her exotic traits naturally garnered an extrely positive response many tis during this tumultuous week, and the station encouraged her to use this aspect more, which Nadia was happy to do. Tо suppоrt оur wоrk, plеаsе rеаd оn
She gestured behind her. "Many dignitaries from around the world, from presidents, to diplomats, and even business n part of the Fortune 500 companies are here with their entourages, ready to take part in the reshuffle of the world."
Nadia flung her hair behind her with a coy smile. "The last ti this happened, so of you weren't even born. This was the sa summit center where peace talks for the end of World War 3 were held and the World Council was formulated, now hosting a new eting that is far less predictable."
At this ti, there was a thunderous sound as a huge chain of lightning streaked across the sky in all directions,s tarting from a center point just a few miles to the south of the summit center. Those outside were startled and panicked by this sudden change until they saw the projection of a large, opulent mountain form in the center of the lightning network in the sky.
From the mountain, figures the size of ants quickly descended, rapidly moving through the air as they charged towards the ground while covered with electricity.
WHUMP!
They all ford small craters at the entrance of the Summit Center when they landed, the lighting dispersing to reveal a bunch of strangely dressed people. They wore ancient Greek attire, mostly white togas or Grecian armor.
In the lead was a young man with an impressive height of six foot and three inches, his lanky build on display through his loose swashbuckling pirate attire. He was still extrely handso thanks to his neck length brown hair and mischief filled brown eyes which sought adventure and trouble in equal asure.
Seeing him, Nadia recognized him as she walked over with a smile.
"Hello viewers, you must know him from his exploits in Boundless already, as well as his efforts in subduing Greece for the summit, but for those who are ignorant, this is Luke Reyson, nicknad OgaRaider!"
Luke turned to the cara and smiled charmingly, which made many won swoon. "Yo! Nadia, right? Boss Draco said to answer any questions you have, so fire away."
Nadia brought her mic to Luke's mouth with a smile. "Thank you so much for that, Mr Reyson. The first thing I would like to ask is for a quick introduction of the people who ca with you. Are these all the people in the fabled Zeus Lineage?"
"Haha, no, definitely not. Also, you can just call Luke, or Oga if you want. As for the fellows with …" Luke turned behind to regard his attaches one by one.
The premier of those who ca with him was a six foot 5 inches man with a Greek god building, his white hair tied into a ponytail as his muscular build made one mistake him for a roided out bodybuilder. He wore a white toga and had his hands folded behind his back, with his eyes closed as if in ditation.
Luke saw this and smirked. "Well, this nonce behind is my father, Alistair Reyson, the the nominal head of the Zeus Lineage."
Alistair's mouth twitched visibly, but he did not open his eyes not change his pose, clearly opting to swallow the insult. After all, in the ti Luke had returned to this hotown since about a week ago, he had basically gone round beating everyone up until they cried uncle.
Even he, his father, had not been spared!
It was just better to keep silent and live out his days ignobly than continue to fight back against insurmountable power.
Nadia slled the family drama and was all too familiar with this kind of thing, cleverly avoiding it as she continued to ask about the rest.
"Next is my dumbass elder brother who was supposed to inherit the throne but got usurped by because I'm better LOL."
Jas Reyson had changed over the years. Now 31 years old, his slicked back red hair had been cut short and his arrogant features had edged out into mature ones. The fellow had even married and had a few children to his na, so his attire was also traditional and his deanor was calm.
Even in the face of Luke's mocking, he simply smiled to the cara.
"After that is my second brother, Frank. He's basically a mindless brute, but he does have his 'eureka' monts."
Frank Reyson was the one who changed the least. Still stocky and with slightly rugged as well as brutish features, his muscular body had even slightly surpassed Alastair and reached the level of exaggerated.
He glared at Luke opened with the intent to fight, being the one most unconvinced by his youngest brother who dared to co ho and give them orders. In this week, there were an uncountable number of tis in which he rushed over to fight with Luke unprovoked, which was why Luke felt he lacked IQ.
Why fight when you know you can't win? Just to enjoy being pumled?
"Finally, there's also my dumbass third brother who is definitely gay and takes It up the bootyhole."
Julian Reyson had not changed much as well. He was still tall, but unlike the others, he had a compact muscular build along with facial features so pretty they surpassed anyone here, even Luke himself. The entire ti Julian had co on-screen, countless won had hearts in their eyes due to his looks.
Currently, the fellow was wearing an ugly expression as he suppressed his fury at Luke calling him gay. He was sothing that cherished woman and had a huge harem in the clan already, so what did this fellow an by this?!
Nadia was amused by the introductions and did not shift to the others lest the drama escalate further.
"Wow, a wonderful family you have Oga! So, your group will represent the entire Zeus Lineage today, is that correct?" Nadia asked with a smile.
Luke nodded. "That and more. Today's summit will be interesting, but I think you'd best wait till it starts for the truly good stuff."
Saying this, he saluted the cara and took his group inside, ready to head to their positions to await the global reshuffle by the God King of humanity.
Nadia made so parting comnts about the Zeus group, revealing so information about them to the world so that they could grasp the full weight of the people who just passed through here when the sky changed once more.
This ti, there was the sound of countless prayers in a strange yet sonorous language, with the image of the Thousand Hands Guanshiyin Bodhisattva that ford above the summit center and covered the entire sky.
While those below were in extre awe, they saw the hands behind Guanyin Bodhisattva begin to extended outwards towards the ground with their palms open and facing upwards. This initially caused many to feel fear, as if they were under attack, until the hands ca to a stop near the entrance of the summit center where Nadia stood.
On the palms were a bunch of n and won of varying ages, all clothes in Buddhist monk attire with sariras in the center of their necks and strange sanskrit power flowing through their bodies. Each of them seed aloof and untainted by the mortal world, like arhats that had returned to guide the lost lambs to enlightennt.
Many felt the urge to kneel and begin chanting the sa sanskrit words they were hearing, offering their lives up to Buddha in exchange for freedom from the filth of the mundane world. Even Nadia felt her knees tremble as her eyes beca dazed and she was not even able to speak to the cara before her.
This went on until a thunderous shout carried through the vicinity.
"Enough! Can't you old farts stop posturing for one day?!"
Nadia imdiately snapped out of it as the aura of Buddhism was swept away and replaced with normalcy, even the image of Guanyin disappearing in the sky and allowing the sun to shine down once again.
Shaking her head that felt fuzzy, Nadia saw that the leader of this group was a blonde haired young man with handso and dashing features akin to a protagonist, but his face was filled with dissatisfaction as he turned to the elders behind him and berated them openly.
Even worse, these elders looked ashad and could only lower their heads, not even daring to feel dissatisfied. It was quite a strange sight that was captured on cara, and even without Nadia to say sothing, these fellows knew that sothing was going on here.
Nadia got her bearings together and approached Kiran. "Hello, you are Kiran the Dark Monk of Umbra, right?"
Kiran glanced over at Nadia and sized up up directly. "Hmm, too tall."
Then he glanced at her partially revealed chest area with disdain. "Too small."
Nadia was left speechless, feeling like her dignity had been picked up, suplexed and then given an RKO on top. Still, she was an experienced reporter and quickly recovered herself.
"Can you tell us about your group? Given the phenona earlier, I take it you are the representatives of the Gautama Buddha Lineage?" She asked while gesturing to the elders dressed in monk robes.
Kiran himself wore his dark monk robes as usual, but it was more of what a battle monk would wear as opposed to a traditional monk, so he did look slightly more fashionable.
"Right, Boss Draco said to talk to you. Hm, these old fellows do represent the upper echelon of the Buddha Lineage and unlike that fellow Luke, I wasn't sure which one to bring so I brought them all."
Kiran forked a finger over to the oldest man among the group who stood right behind him. "This one is my matrilineal grandpa. The rest I have no idea who they are and I don't care to ask."
Nadia was once again left speechless.
