The doorbell of the Mo mansion rang causing everyone to turn and look at the entrance of the dining room.
There was a silence but then a burst of footsteps echoed in the corridor, it was as if an army of people were marching down to where the Mo family had gathered at that mont.
"What's going on?" Mo Qiu asked as she looked at her elder sisters who shrugged their shoulders and turned to look at the door of the dining room.
Closer and closer the sound of the footsteps beca and soon they could hear the voice of their butler.
"You cannot enter the dining area just like that! At least give us an explanation for this sudden invasion!" The butler scread shrilly as she chased after the people who were headed towards the dining room.
Invasion?
Mother Mo looked at Mo Li who shook her head looking just as confused as her mother as she had no idea who was invading their house. After all, she had not done anything for her house to be invaded.
Or—did one of their old cris co to light?
Mo Li glanced at her mother who seed to have the sa thought in her head as her, the two of them exchanged a dark look with one another as Mother Mo stood up on her feet.
Just as Mother Mo stood up, the door of the dining room was kicked open. Two seconds later, a throng of policewon rushed inside, all of them were holding their guns in hand as if they would shoot them at the slightest mistake.
Mo Qiu did not expect such a thing to happen, she imdiately dropped the glass of mock milk solution onto the floor which tasted like ground soil and hid inside the table along with her two sisters.
The r sons-in-law also hurried inside the kitchen in terror.
When Mother Mo saw their actions she cursed them thrice in her heart, she also missed Mo Yan a little. In the past, if sothing like this had happened, her daughter would have stood up in front of her like a shield.
And now these cowards were pushing an old woman like her in the front.
Though Mother Mo was really upset, she still pursed her lips and then walked over to where the policewon were standing.
She smiled at them with a sweet smile on her lips and said to them, "My, oh my... what's going on? Officer Mu, there is no need to be so rough with my butler. She is a poor old woman and cannot withstand such excitent."
"May I ask you the reason for your sudden trespassing?" Mother Mo asked. She was still smiling but her words held a slight threat.
Officer Mu smiled back at Mother Mo. She tapped at her monitor twice before showing it to Mother Mo who was acting as if she was in a much more powerful position she was in at the mont than them.
Officer Mu said calmly, "Madam Mo, you are summoned to the police station along with your daughters and granddaughter, please listen to our orders and follow us."
When Madam Mo heard that she was invited to the police station, her face turned pale. She turned to look at her daughter who seed just as shocked as her.
Neither of them knew what to do, after all, they had committed all kinds of cris.
They had no idea for which cri they were being called to the police station this ti around.
"Can you tell us what's going on at least?" Mo Li said to Officer Mu who shook her head and replied, "Sorry, Madam Li. We have strict orders to follow, we cannot let you know what and why you are being called to the police station so please don't make things difficult for us."
With Officer Mu saying those words, there was no point in discussing anything further.
Mother Mo knew and understood very well that even if she spent a good deal of ti trying to wheedle out of the information from Officer Mu, she would not get anything.
So instead of wasting her ti, she might as well go with Officer Mu.
"Alright," Mother Mo nodded and agreed.
When Mo Li saw that her mother had agreed, she didn't refuse either. With a sigh, she agreed to follow her mother to the police station.
Daddy Mo was scared silly when heard that his wife and daughter had to go to the police station, but he did not think twice before following the two of them. In case sothing happened, he would be able to save his wife and daughter.
After all, with the present situation in front of them, they had no other choice but to follow the orders which were given to them!
Of course, Officer Mu had no problem with Daddy Mo coming with them. They did not want anyone to alert the rs at ho lest they escape the punishnt that was waiting for them.
"Please follow ," Officer Mu said to Mother Mu who nodded and then walked out of the house.
Though Mother Mo and Mo Li did not make a fuss, the sa could not be said for Mo Qiu and her sisters.
The three of them clung to the legs of the table and absolutely refused to let go.
"No. You cannot take away! I have done nothing wrong!" Mo Qiu shouted as she hugged the leg of the table refusing to let go, even when two officers tried to pry her fingers off the table legs.
"If you had done nothing wrong, then you shouldn't be scared of coming to the police station with us, Miss Qiu," said one of the police officers as she tried to pull Mo Qiu away. The other four of the officers also tried to take the two sisters away.
But how could Mo Qiu and her sisters agree to let go? They knew what they had done and would not let go.
In the end, Officer Mu was so annoyed that she waved her hand and said to the other officers, "Just drag them away with the table legs itself."
And so the three legs of the table were broken while the three sisters were dragged as they hugged the table legs.
