Yu Dong gritted her teeth. These two won along with the rest were planning to sell Yu Mai and Li Cui. No wonder they kidnapped the two of them. They must have been attracted by the good looks of the two young rs and thus decided to kidnap them as well.
She peered out of the trunk of the oak tree before climbing up. Her eyes fixated on the two won who were coming down the trail of the mountain.
Since they wanted to sell her brother then they cannot bla her for what she was going to do to them.
They had many ways to die and yet they just had to pick the most painful one.
Like a predator, Yu Dong hid in the shadows that the leaves cast over her figure. Her eyes carefully followed the two won, she waited for the two of them to get closer until they were right under her.
Yu Dong narrowed her eyes as she instilled her spiritual energy inside the tree on which she was sitting. The gnarled branches glowed with an eerie green glow and so did the trunk before —
"Ack! What is this?" The two won panicked and scread. The two of them looked down at the gnarled roots that shot out of the ground and entwined around their waists before pulling them down under the ground.
"What's going on!?"
"Soone save us! Help! Help!"
The two won scread for help but the roots twisted and turned until they were completely wrapped like a wooden mummy.
Yu Dong glanced at the two who sunk under the ground before twisting her neck and looking at the two dogs that were hiding with fear and yet they continued to bark.
"Whats the matter with you? This grandma was sleeping and woke up due to your barks," the bald woman whom Yu Dong was looking at stepped out of the house. She looked at the dogs that were barking and kicked them on the abdon.
"Why are you barking? Shut up for this grandma!" She scolded the three dogs but the four beasts were really scared. They continued to bark while staring at the spot where the two won were dragged and buried.
Woof! Woof! Woof!
The beasts looked around as they continued to bark. Seeing them act like this baldy couldn't help but frown as she started to search as well.
"What's happening?" Another woman, with a fang-shaped earring on her ear, walked out of the house, she pushed open the door and glanced at the bald woman. "Mighty Bear, you need to pay attention to these beasts. Make them stop if soone cos here, poking their noses then what would we do?"
Mighty Bear frowned deeply and turned to look at the woman behind her. She said to her, "Wolf Fang, I am trying to silence them but they seem to be scared of sothing. Not to ntion those two useless won are also missing, who knows where they went without telling anyone."
Yu Dong's eyes narrowed. Wolf Fang and Mighty Bear, these won were actually using code nas. It seed like there was more to their plans than they were letting on.
"Look around then," said Wolf Fang. "Find the reason why these beasts are barking. You know that if Sister Qiao woke up, she would have our heads."
Mighty Bear shivered upon hearing those words. She was a tall woman who didn't seem like soone who would fear anyone and yet this woman was scared of soone?
Just who was this Sister Qiao? Yu Dong thought to herself as she jumped off from the branch of the tree and hid behind another shadowed tree whose leaves had turned an ugly shade of yellow.
Mighty Bear ca down the trail and looked around the forest but she didn't see anything that could have scared the beasts. She rolled her eyes and then marched back to the house before kicking the three beasts ruthlessly.
If they caused Sister Qiao to wake up then she would be the one who would have to suffer.
The three dogs were kicked harshly and could only lay down on the ground while whimpering in pain. They didn't move or bark but they still looked at the spot where the two won had vanished. It was so terrible.
Yu Dong on the other hand stepped out of her hiding spot. She jumped to another tree and just like that she reached forward bit by bit and ca to a stop behind the house.
Just like the front, the back of the house was also guarded heavily. Yu Dong took out a tranquillizer gun from her space and then aid. No sooner did the needles prick the two won, than they slumped down on the floor.
Yu Dong stepped forward, she first twisted the necks of the two won and then dragged them up on the chair to make it look like they were sleeping. Once she was done, she took out the key to the lock that was hanging on the door.
With the key, she opened the lock and then dumped it on one side. A low thump echoed in the silence but no one paid any attention to it as the sound was muffled by the barking of the dogs once again.
However, no one paid any attention to them as the people inside the house knew that the dogs were barking for no reason.
Yu Dong entered the house and then with her figure half hidden in shadows, she started looking for her children.
As she was walking past the rooms while making sure that no one would catch her, she heard soone say,
"What are we going to do?" The woman said with a frown on her face. "These venomous bugs will not stay alive for long. The cult leader asked us to feed them to as many people as possible such that the reign of the Empress would be as smooth sailing as possible."
Yu Dong paused in her stride and then carefully snuck close. Her senses were rather good and she didn't have to get close to the door to hear what the two won were talking about.
All she needed was to pay all her attention to the small cacti that were sitting outside the door of the room.
