Chapter 1687: Made to stay in the prison
Master Xiao obviously didn't dare to make a fuss in front of the Yan officers. He was a bully who liked to bully the weak but feared the strong. With Officer Zhou threatening him, he dared not to make a fuss and followed them honestly.
After they arrived at the yan, Master Xiao was taken to another room for interrogation while Yu Dong and Madam Kong were also asked a few questions.
"Madam Yu, can you tell us everything that you have heard from the leader behind this incident?" One of the officers asked.
Yu Dong nodded and very carefully relayed everything to the Yan officer and when they heard the truth behind the incident, their expressions turned sombre.
They knew that it was more or less related to the Empress but they still could not wrap their heads around the fact that the ruler of this nation was so desperate that she was willing to accept the help of the dark sect.
Wasn't it better to just accept that she was not fit to rule the country?
Although they were already ntally prepared for this, the officers were still stunned when they heard Yu Dong say that Empress Xian was actually trying to brainwash the commoners by using hypnotizing bugs.
No one suspected that Yu Dong was lying as they had indeed extracted hypnotising bugs from the bodies of those who were killed. And they were yet to co up with a way to deal with those Hypnotising Bugs.
Officer Zhou looked exceptionally stern as she asked Yu Dong and Madam Kong about how the kidnapping took place. As it was a sensitive matter, they needed to be very careful with each and every single bit of information.
In case they missed anything, it might lead to another round of trouble. What if there was another person involved in this ss and if they missed catching her in ti?
Madam Kong had long guessed that the matter was a tricky one. She cursed her sisters-in-law for creating trouble for her but answered everything very seriously. She didn't dare to hide anything lest the person who was supposed to be caught escaped. They couldn't let that happen!
Yu Dong also relayed what she had heard from Yu Jiao Yu. From the day where they went to buy so clothes for her nephews to how Master Xiao tagged along to buy hairpins with her uncles and brother.
Their family did nothing wrong, thus Yu Dong was not afraid of anything.
She also specified that the children were able to be kidnapped due to Master Xiao causing a diversion in the shop. She was not going to let that r have it easy either since he wanted to support his sisters so much then he might as well stay in prison for a while with them.
Though Yu Dong didn't add fuel to the fire, she revealed such incidents where Master Xiao would be counted as an accomplice along with Second sister Xiao and elder sister Xiao.
Anyway, she was not lying, what she said was indeed the truth. Who asked Master Xiao to cause trouble for her? If he hadn't lost his temper with her and children, then nothing like this would have happened.
Sure enough, as soon as Yu Dong finished speaking, Officer Zhou and the rest of the officers beca even more suspicious of Master Xiao.
If nothing happened, no one would have thought twice about Master Xiao's actions but his actions were more or less the trigger which led to the chaos that took place in the city.
First, he chased his daughters out of the house, then he also fought in the shop for no reason, causing a diversion and after finding out the letter which was sent to Yu Jiao Yu and the rest, the r tried his best to hinder them.
The Yan officers beca suspicious as they started looking at the case in a new light.
After a quick pondering, Officer Zhou nodded and questioned Yu Dong, "Madam Yu, is the culprit behind this hypnotizing bug incident really dead?"
"I killed her with my own hands," Yu Dong had nothing to hide as she replied with a cold voice. "However, she is only one out of many. I have no idea how many mbers are in the dark cult that Her Majesty has—ah, hired?"
She was really amazed when she thought about how Xian Xieren was going to such lengths to protect her throne. It made her want to ss with that woman a bit more.
What should she do? Yu Dong didn't want to do evil things.
"You an to say that there are more mbers?" Officer Zhou asked with his eyes widening, looking alard. Just one mber was enough to cause so much trouble, if there were more..what were they supposed to do?
Were they going to look for Yu Dong every ti sothing like this happened?
Yu Dong humd as she replied, "Indeed. There are more and from what that woman said, they are already working hard to gather as many people to support the Empress." Though speaking against the Empress was a cri, Yu Dong couldn't care less.
That woman was like a toddler who was insisting on getting a toy which she could not even handle.
Officer Zhou clenched her fingers as she glanced at the officer next to her. It seed like the nation was not going to be at peace for a very long ti.
She sighed and noted down in her heart to relay this information to Magistrate Li and Lord Ren.
While everything was peaceful on the other side, Master Xiao was having quite a hard ti.
As it was his first ti in the yan office, Master Xiao was already nervous enough and as the officer who was questioning him was unusually stern, he beca even more nervous.
Because Master Xiao's sisters were involved in the matter, the officer asked him about everything.
Including whether or not he told his sisters about the plan to visit the market.
And master Xiao who had every intention to hide the truth couldn't hold on for long and told the officer everything.
