"What nonsense are you spouting?" Ye Liu questioned and in response to his offended tone, Yu Dong was even more offended. She dropped her head and looked at the r looking more than affronted.

She said, "I am speaking nonsense? You are the one who is speaking nonsense! I just asked whether the r was pretty because I could not understand why so many won would willingly hand over grains to him."

The situation was not as good as it was in the past. What were these won doing handing grains to a r who sold his body? Was he that good-looking or skilled in bed that these won were willing to die in his bed?

Like they could starve but they couldn't live without solving the itch?

"He is not that pretty," Chen Mi huffed; however given how sullen he looked, Yu Dong was certain that the r was indeed pretty.

This however did not concern her as for the sake of her waist, she had decided to not take any more husbands. If she married one more r after Xiao Hua, she would be in her grave.

And the cause of her death would be using her waist too much.

"Should I go and deal—"

"No!"

No sooner did she finish speaking, than the rs all turned to look at her and stopped her at once. They all were glaring at her as if they would skin her alive if she left the house.

How could they not stop her? That r was so sticky and greedy. If Yu Dong were to go and handle this matter, that r would definitely try to enchant their wife with his sly tricks.

This couldn't be allowed to happen!

Though they trusted Yu Dong, they could not trust a r who could make half the village lose their mind to him.

Yu Dong flinched as she looked at her husband. She blinked her eyes and said, "Okay?" She then stretched out her hand and said, "Here take this silver carp and small fish that I and Little Four caught. You can use it to make pickled fish."

Ye Liu and Chen Mi did not say anything when they heard their wife's words. One of them took the silver carp to gut it while the other one took the bucket of small fish to pickle them.

As long as their wife did not go looking for that r, it was fine to make another two dishes.

In the afternoon, the yelling and fighting subsided. It was rumoured that Village Head Gu could no longer listen to the shaless things that were being spoken and was worried that the children would hear them too, so she sent her husbands to deal with the matter.

With Old Master Gu's sharp tongue, the matter was resolved in a jiffy. Yu Dong however was certain that a few children must have learned so rather colourful words.

While the children of the village were learning colourful words, Yu Mai and the rest of the r children were forced by Yu Dong to learn how to read and count. She had taught them how to write their nas but their ugly scrawls were no different than them not learning anything.

Yu Mai of course did not want to study. He did not want to look at the difficult words and numbers, it was too hard! So he snuck out of the house when Yu Dong was talking to Yu Tong about their new bakery's opening, he was going to study at all!

When Yu Dong heard that Yu Mai had run away, her expression remained the sa but everyone in the house knew that she was angry.

And they were indeed right as Yu Dong imdiately called for a mammy to bring Yu Mai back with her, she even asked the rest of the r children to be brought back with Yu Mai.

The children all played around the locust tree at the front of the village, where it was not as hot. They could also catch beetles and dragonflies. It was really fun!

Because of this reason, Yu Mai often ca to play here.

So, it did not take long for him to be caught along with the rest of the children.

Ten to eleven little ones were brought to the Yu family and at the very back was Yu Mai who was shivering as he had a feeling that he might have caused his friends to fall into trouble.

Sure enough, his worst fears ca true as soon as Yu Dong looked at him and his friends before saying, "Let's start learning kids."

Lea—Learning?

Every single kid was forced to sit down with a paper and brush in their hands as Yu Dong taught them how to write letters.

The children: !!!?

Where were they? What were they doing? How did this happen?

"Study hard kids, as long as you study hard—I will let you take two ice candies with you," Yu Dong knew how to win the hearts of the children so she imdiately bribed them.

"Auntie Dong, will we get ice candies every ti we co to learn?" One of the rs asked. He was not as resistant regarding studying as Yu Mai after all, he had never felt sothing so novel before.

Yu Mai: !!!!

"That's right," Yu Dong clapped her hands and nodded. "If you all co to study here then you can eat dinner with Little Mai, I will ask one of the mammies to cook sothing delicious for you all."

The children were imdiately bribed while Yu Mai withered like a little flower. If all his friends ca to study, then wouldn't he have to study too?

His life was too difficult.
