Master Deng knew that his in-laws looked down on him because he ca from a small hunting family. But it wasn't as if he begged for this marriage!

He married Jiang Mingzhu through proper and legal channels!

Why should he be treated like this?

But his wife was a pushover and she hardly spoke up for him. She was too gentle and tried to avoid conflict all the ti, however, her sisters were anything but gentle.

They loved their husbands too much and protected them all the ti. More importantly, they were shaless and had thick skin.

Compared to the two of them, his wife was too docile and naive, which led to them getting bullied like this!

The more, Master Deng thought about it, the more his eyes turned red.

He said to his wife in a sobbing voice, "Only you are handing your pay to your mother honestly. While your sisters are dodging around, making excuses that they cannot hand the money because of this and that."

"How many months has it been since they last handed in their pay? They do not give a penny and yet they want to eat polished rice and at every day. Where do they think the money would co from?"

Master Deng angrily questioned his wife as he cracked a few eggs on the stir-fried vegetables.

"And your brothers-in-law? They do not raise their hands at all. They lie in their bed all day long and just wait for

to finish cooking such that they can eat."

"Your mother also let them do it because they co from decent families but I did not ask you to marry ! If your mother looked down on my family who are hunters then she should have never married

to you!"

"Who is looking down on anyway? Doesn't she eat the at of the ga that my sisters bring every day?"

Jiang Mingzhu smiled wretchedly. She didn't tell Master Deng but the reason her mother agreed to this marriage was because of the constant supply of at.

Her mother was a small official in the town, her pay was not even three taels and yet her mother had really big dreams. She sent Jiang Fanhua to Qiao Sha's bed in hopes that it would make her career smooth sailing.

Never did Mother Jiang expect that she would end up offending Qiao Sha. Though she sohow managed to get so benefits from Jiang Fanhua soon her brother had enough of it and went into hiding.

Now from what Jiang Mingzhu had heard, her brother was living in a village away from Qiao Sha and was intent on not returning.

He even gave birth to a daughter but he never let his wife see her.

Everyone knew about their strained relationship and to make matters worse, her brother was also called a rebellious brat by the entire town because he egged Zhu Lian to leave with him.

Because of this matter, her mother could not go and beg Madam Qiao for any sort of help.

Her son had escaped with Qiao Sha's daughter and was refusing to let her see her daughter, Qiao Sha would chop Madam Jiang in case she was to go to the Qiao house and ask for help.

However, with the drought starting, she had no choice but to look for another way to solve the monetary problems.

That was when she ran into Old Madam Deng who was looking for a daughter-in-law.

No one wanted to marry Master Deng as he was the r son of a huntress who now had the biggest butcher shop in town.

Even though the business Madam Deng was no longer as blooming as it was in the past since the mall had opened, it was still better than nothing.

Not to ntion Madam Deng sold fresh at every day and never sold rotten or stale at because of this many people willingly went to her shop to purchase at.

Her mother was in a desperate situation.

Thus, without asking Jiang Mingzhu about her choice, she agreed to the engagent.

Jiang Mingzhu was a gentle woman and she was not as scheming as her half-sisters. Not to ntion her daddy was a servant who climbed into the bed of her mother. Because of this, her position in this family was awkward.

To add injury to the insult, Jiang Mingzhu was not good with her words. Her half-sisters knew how to butter their mother up, thus they were treated better than Jiang Mingzhu.

If not, why would Mother Jiang let her half-sisters marry rs from prominent families and make her marry the son of a butcher?

However, Jiang Mingzhu had nothing against Master Deng as her husband was nice and respectful.

She only felt upset over his situation but what could she do? With a servant turning into a concubine no one would treat her better.

Jiang Mingzhu sighed and then said to her husband, "If you like it then I can talk with Mother."

"When has she ever listened to anything?" Master Deng snarled angrily. He picked up the egg pancakes and then dumped them on the plate. He then turned to look at his wife and said to her, "I will give you one last chance. Deal with this matter or I will. I am the son-in-law of this house, not the servant!"

After he finished speaking, he picked three to four egg pancakes and walked away leaving only seven for the seventeen mbers of the Jiang family to share.

He didn't even leave anything for his wife in his anger.

Jiang Mingzhu looked at her husband's back which was disappearing slowly as he walked away and her expression turned into that of helplessness.

That morning, her sisters and brothers-in-law complained about the breakfast, however, Jiang Mingzhu could not bring herself to say anything for a while.

However, when her eldest brother-in-law started calling nas to her husband, she could no longer withstand it and snapped,

"At least be grateful, brother Xiu! My husband's family is at least sending at to our family but I don't see anything coming from your family!"
