The fact there was a flower thief in the village followed by the information of Ding Xuelan getting struck by lightning spread all over the village.

All the rs believed that it was Ding Xuelan who had stolen the underpants that belonged to Xiao Zimo.

Even the won thought the sa but they had no evidence and they knew that the Ding family was not easy to deal with so they did not do anything severe just gossiped a little in front of the Ding house.

Daddy Ding and Mother Ding would naturally not admit that Ding Xuelan did sothing so terrible and shaful. They imdiately refused the words of the villagers and scolded them for bullying their family as if they were outsiders.

The quarrel reached the point where the Mammies had to get involved. Fortunately, no one got injured and the troublemakers were asked to go back ho.

Daddy Ding and Mother Ding also ran back ho but the second they closed the door, they rushed to the room which belonged to Ding Xuelan.

"You bastard! What did you do?" Though Mother Ding acted as if she believed Ding Xuelan, the truth was that she too was uncertain.

Her daughter was good for nothing and she was used to doing a lot of weird cris.

The last ti she was caught stealing a sow from soone’s barn. What if she did sothing equally stupid this ti around?

Ding Xuelan who was lying on the bed: "…" ???

"Mother, what’s the matter with you? Why are you kicking

like this when I am already injured? Are you trying to kill !?" Ding Xuelan questioned her mother, feeling annoyed and angry.

Though she was struck by lightning, Ding Xuelan sohow managed to get away with her life but that did not an that she was not injured. The injuries on her back and front were no joke!

And yet her heartless mother was kicking her like this!? Where was the justice?

"Shut up! Don’t I know what kind of good things you have done? Quickly tell

if you went to the house where the rs live?" Mother Ding asked with a sharp gaze. She looked like she was going to skin Ding Xuelan alive today.

Ding Xuelan was stunned when she heard her mother say those words. She blinked her eyes and blurted out, "How did you find out?"

She indeed went to that house, after all, she had slled sothing delicious cooking in the kitchen and stole a whole duck when she found out that the rs of that house were cooking roasted ducks.

There were five and six ducks so stealing one was not a big deal. In fact, she was really sneaky with her hands and thus Ding Xuelan was confident that no one would catch her.

So why did her mother know that she went to that house? What was going on?

Mother Ding’s eyes widened and she started beating Ding Xuelan again.

"You beast! You really went to that house? What sin did I commit for you to beco my daughter in this life!? How could you do sothing so crazy? Have you gone mad?"

Mother Ding started beating Ding Xuelan out of nowhere which left Ding Xuelan stunned and speechless. The latter rushed out of the bed while limping and tried to cover her face and back which were injured the most.

"Mother! Mother! What’s wrong with you? Did I not just steal a duck? How many tis I have done such a thing, so why are you beating

now?" Ding Xuelan was scared silly. Her mother had never beaten her like this before but now the woman was hitting her as if the two of them were mortal enemies.

"What did you say?" Mother Ding paused in her actions and looked at Ding Xuelan who was moaning and grimacing on the floor.

"I just stole a duck! Why are you hitting ?" Ding Xuelan scread while letting Daddy Ding rub her back where her mother had kicked her again and again.

She raised her head and tipped her chin up before saying, "What’s the problem? My sister doesn’t let us eat at, so I can only steal."

"You—— You went to steal a roasted duck?" Mother Ding questioned with a frown.

"What else did you think I went to steal?" Ding Xuelan questioned and Mother Ding beca even more speechless. What a coincidence!

Her daughter could she be any more unlucky than this?

She sighed and threw the broom on the ground before saying, "There is a flower thief in the village."

"What about it——" Ding Xuelan began but she suddenly stiffened and raised her head to look at Mother Ding who nodded sympathetically at her daughter.

"What the fuck! Why would this old woman steal the underpants of rs? That’s so icky! I am a thug, not a pervert!" Ding Xuelan was seriously offended. How in the world did she end up carrying this pot of bla on her head?

Arghhh! Now what was she going to do?

So wronged! She was so wronged!

On the other side, Yu Dong went to visit Village Head Gu. Since she had decided to open a school in the village no matter what, she was not going to dilly-dally.

When Village Head Gu heard her suggestion, she frowned heavily and said to Yu Dong, "The elders will not sit still, they would definitely cause quite a stir." Your next chapter awaits on .C??m

The old won of their village did not believe in letting rs learn how to read and write. They only wanted the rs to learn how to manage the household and nothing more.

"I know, but as you might have already heard there is a flower thief in the village. Even if we take care of this person, there will be another one and then another one," Yu Dong was not cursing anyone but speaking realistically. "We have dealt with so many perverted won, did sothing happen? No one learned anything."

"So isn’t it better for the rs to learn how to protect themselves? That way a woman would think twice before ruining any r. Anyway, whether it’s a mother, a sister or wife —— they cannot protect their rs all the ti."

"Self-dependency is a need."
