Ye Liu cooked four bowls of bone broth noodles, he cut thin slices of crystal clear and shiny bacon into the bowls and even added two soft-boiled eggs in each bowl. Before sprinkling green onions and spinach that had been boiled to remove the slightly bitter taste and make it even sweeter.
He placed those four bowls on the dining table and then said to the rest of the family, "Keep a sharp dagger with you at night. Even though the mammies are guarding, we can never neglect our own safety."
For so reason, he had a bad feeling.
Shen Li nodded as he agreed with Ye Liu. He too felt that sothing was off about the entire situation. Yu Jin was clearly playing in front of the house but then he was found in the well, it was not only weird but also suspicious.
Grandma Fang looked at the three rs and silently cursed herself for being useless. If she was two… no five years younger, she could have protected these rs and they wouldn't have to worry like this.
"The won of the village are also going to the Black Pot village tonight," Fang Chi spoke while eating his al. "They want to bring the iron and tools that the blacksmiths used to our village. More than half of the Black Pot Village was killed because of the two people from the capital. Even though Yu Dong told the villagers of Black Pot that they needed to send those people away, the villagers who lost their families and watched their loved ones getting slaughtered —— did not care.
They hated Yu Linyun and they hated the Big River Village because she was a mber of the Black Pot Village.
Yu Dong wanted to kick them when they were down such that they wouldn't be able to make huge waves. This was why she chose thirty strong mammies and twenty strong won to go and loot the villagers.
Though it was slightly unscrupulous to kick soone down when they were in such a situation, Yu Dong knew that it was better to squash the ant before it bit them.
Shen Li was worried that soone from the Black Pot Village would retaliate.
"let's sleep together," Shen Li said to the two rs.
The two rs nodded and agreed. Grandma Fang also moved to the room closest to them for their safety.
Although, they were worried and frightened, neither of the rs slept that night and continued to hold the daggers and safety devices that Yu Dong had given to them.
They couldn't let anyone take advantage of them when their wife was gone.
Grandma Fang was also holding a sharp knife while wearing a shock bracelet on her wrist. No matter what, she was determined to protect the r.
Even the children did not go to sleep and waited for dawn to break.
"Mai, you should go to sleep," seeing that Yu Mai was also awake with the children, Ye Liu said to him lovingly. "If you go to bed late then you will not be able to grow taller in the future."
