Old Master Tong was angry enough to hit soone but he dared not to do it. He was no longer the sa and the conditions he was living in weren't the sa either, if he were to make a fuss then Lin Tianhui would definitely fight with him again.

She wasn't like Old Madam Yu who would not make a sound, instead, she would hit him right back if he dared to touch her. Not to ntion the old ones in the house were not easy to bully either. If he beat Lin Tianhui, then those old ones would definitely join hands with their daughter and hit him.

With no choice in his hands, Old Master Tong could only suppress his anger. He ignored the curses that were raining down on them and stewed the broth, once he was done, he scooped out two big bowls with rice for himself and Yu Linyun, and a small bowl for his other daughter. He did not leave much for Lin Tianhui.

As for those bags of old bones, they could forget about getting even a small piece of at from him.

Old Master Tong took the bowl to his daughter's room. Yu Linyun was better than she was at night and no longer looked delirious, in fact, she was now staring at what was going on outside, through the small gap in the window. The more she listened the more her expression turned bad.

"Linyun, don't listen to them. They don't know anything, you were just trying to help them and in the end, you trusted the wrong person. You are also a victim," Old Master Tong comforted his daughter but what he did not know was that Yu Linyun had a guilty conscience.

She brought those two big shots to the village because she wanted to take advantage of them. Not once did she think about the village, in her eyes, she was the one who was sheltering those people and it should be only right for them to repay her instead of the villagers.

Who would have thought that sothing like this would happen?

Yu Linyun thought that she had a clear conscience, even if those people did not help the villagers, there was nothing wrong with it. As she was the one who fed and took care of them.

But now she no longer feels the sa way. An entire village was burned down, because of her small calculations. What she did not tell her father was that, when those assassins arrived in the village, those two influential people were in the village!

And yet when they saw the assassins instead of fighting back, they packed up and left without looking back. They had guards and weapons but they did not care about the villagers and ran away without caring about the life and death of the villagers who had given them shelter.

Not to ntion her! They even kicked her out and did not care for her, even if she had died, they wouldn't have co to help her!

Yu Linyun knew how hard it was for her to escape from that burning blaze, if she was any more unlucky… her life would surely have been lost!

The more she thought about it the more guilty she felt, not to ntion the screams and horror on the faces of the villagers when they were set on fire was sothing that she could never forget.

"Daddy, did Yu Dong say sothing about this incident?" Yu Linyun wanted to know if Yu Dong was going to help the villagers of the Black Pot Village or if was she going around parading about her loss.

She did not want Yu Dong to have the last laugh!

Old Master Tong also knew what Yu Linyun was thinking, after all this was a piece of flesh that fell out of his own belly. How could he not know?

He pursed his lips and then said in a light voice, "Yu Dong, didn't say anything as for what happened at the Black Pot Village …she cleared her stance by telling the villagers that she had already said word to the village head of the Black Pot Village that those people were from the Capital but the Village Head did not listen to her. Since she fulfilled her responsibility no one blas her."

After all, Yu Dong was the owner of the Big River Village and not the Black Pot Village. She did what she could while protecting her own village, what was more last night everyone saw the cruelty of those assassins. They actually wanted to shower the village with burning arrows, that shower was taken care of by Yu Dong and Wu Junfen.

Even though the two of them worked together, so villagers were still hurt.

Village Head Gu's arm was burned while Aunt Wang who tried to save the rice fields had her back burned. Many other villagers were injured and Yu Dong gave money to treat their wounds.

The fact that she protected them and even took care of the small burns and wounds, made the villagers touched.

"Damn it!" When Yu Linyun heard the things that happened in the village, she was so angry that smoke was coming out from her ears. She thought that if she was being blad, Yu Dong must be being blad as well. After all, she was also hard-hearted and refused to save that village. Turned out that the villagers were treating her as a saviour while she was being treated like a catastrophe star!

Old Master Tong saw that Yu Linyun was angry and did not say anything. He placed the bowl of rice with bone broth and said to Yu Linyun, "Linyun, I think you should stay at ho for the next few days. Don't go outside, the entire village is waiting for you to show up.
