"The dried cured chicken tastes really good and can be kept for a long ti, so let's make it. As for the venison, Brother Liu likes to eat atballs, so we might as well cook it. Consider it as good luck, maybe Brother Liu might get pregnant today?" Chen Mi humd as he chopped the at and minced it.
Hearing his words, Shen Li smiled while helping his son drink goat milk which was boiled carefully. He said, "It's fine if you say this in front of us, don't say it in front of Liu. He will be troubled." Ye Liu pretended not to care but Shen Li knew that Ye Liu must be feeling pressure in his heart.
He was the only one who did not have a child under his wing, and that too when Yu Dong was paying special attention to him.
"I know," Chen Mi nodded. He turned the minced at into atballs and then started working on the gravy of the curry. The venison that Ye Liu brought back was tender and fatty, Chen Mi needed to cook it carefully to make sure that the atballs were not left undercooked.
"Make sure to keep the door and window close. Others will find trouble if you don't," said Xiao Hua. The famine had already wiped the conscience of many and the family behind them was one with the least conscience left. Yu Sa and her family might listen to Yu Dong but old habits were hard to change.
Not to ntion they lived at the foot of the mountains, just last night soone tried to climb up the walls that Yu Dong had built around the village for the sake of protecting the village.
If the people lingering outside slled at, they would go crazy.
Chen Mi sighed, he imdiately closed the windows and muttered, "When will the weather get better? I am dying because of the heat. I have to cook every day and can't even open the window."
"What can we do?" Fang Chi sighed. He relayed what he saw in the mountains, "You have no idea, how many people are roaming outside the village. Just now when we were in the forest, we saw a bunch of people lingering at the iron gates. They all seem to be waiting for the mammies to move but fortunately, the guards are all loyal and hard-working. They dare not slack ."
Though their village was doing well, it was also causing panic.
"I will help you cook," Shen Li handed the children to Fang Chi who was sitting on the couch and rolled his sleeves. "We might as well cook quickly, I fear Liu will be hungry once he cos out." He had a teasing smile on his face as he said those words. Yu Dong went inside with him intending to teach him a lesson. Surely, Ye Liu would be tired.
"Then we might as well cook more rice for him." Chen Mi snickered as he fetched two bowls of rice from the container and poured it into the boiling water. "Give him more nourishnt."
Fang Chi, who was playing with the children chuckled and questioned, "Will two bowls of rice be enough?"
Hearing this the rs laughed once again and Chen Mi handed another bowl of rice in the pot. Let Ye Liu eat as much as possible.

"Liu, are you alright?" Shen Li looked at the r who seed to have lost a round of fat around his face and questioned. He was half amused and half concerned.
Ye Liu looked at Shen Li, his face was haggard and he kicked Shen Li in the shins.
"Do I look okay?" Ye Liu hissed angrily. He was sucked dry by that woman. Yu Dong always complained that they did it too much, but the truth was that once she started she did not stop, causing the rs to turn sick.
Shen Li dodged the hit that was aid at him and imdiately turned to the side. He said with a smile, "There is no need for you to get angry. It is not a matter of sha, Mi even cooked you atballs and rice. He wants you to recover your lost stamina."
Ye Liu stared at his brother who was teasing him and finally couldn't help but say, "It seems like you have learned to tease with Dong Dong, brother. You actually made fun of !"
Hearing his words, Shen Li only smiled. He neither agreed nor denied and said, "Husband and wife are of the sa mind——"
"Master Shen! Master Liu! Are you in there?" Chu Cheng knocked on the door.
Shen Li was about to tell the rest of the family to eat, even Yu Dong ca out of the bathing room when she heard the words of Chu Cheng.
"What's going on?" Yu Dong walked out of the house and looked at Chu Cheng.
"Go to the old Yu family, sothing happened. There is a big commotion, if you don't go now then it will be really troubleso." Chu Cheng couldn't help but pursed his lips angrily. "Old Master Tong and the rest of the family were working when Second Aunt Yu returned with a bunch of people. She claims that they are her family and wants to keep them in the village."
"Your grandma and Grandma Fang went to the old house to tell your aunt that she cannot bring strangers to the village but she doesn't listen. Even when everyone in the village is against keeping the woman and her family. Second Aunt Yu refused, Linyun says that the house is hers and she can bring anyone as a guest."
Yu Dong's expression turned cold. She had handed out an order that no outsiders were allowed to co inside the village but it seed like Aunt Linyun was taking her words rather lightly.
"Thank you for telling , Brother Cheng. I will rush out and take a look," Yu Dong said to Chu Cheng before hurrying over.
