Seeing the greedy ghosts snatching everything that could be snatched, Chen Mi pursed his lips in disgust. Even when he, Ye Liu and Shen Li were starving they did not act like this. The sight alone was to make him nauseated. With his lips set in thin lines, he walked over to the dining table and then placed the dish that he was holding in his hands.

"Grandmother, I will be in my room if there is sothing that you want then ask Mammy Gong," Chen Mi said to Old Madam Yu. He did not want to sit alongside Yu Sa’s family and watch them gobble the food as if they were starving for two years.

Old Madam Yu looked at the bunch of beasts who were eating as if they had never seen at and nodded. She too would have left if possible, she nodded and said, "Go, take so rice and at with you and eat in the room."

No sooner did the Yu San family hear that Old Madam Yu was asking Chen Mi to take a bowl of rice and at, they imdiately increased their speed of eating. Forget about taking a bowl of rice, Chen Mi knew it would be impossible to even pick up a grain of rice.

He curled his lips in a disdainful smile. Fortunately, he was smart enough to cook the seafood that only needed to be boiled and nothing more, if not then he and his brothers could just wait for their wife while starving!

"There is no need, grandmother," Chen Mi said with a polite expression while hiding his disdain. He then made a movent with his eyes and asked Fang Chi to bring Sun Jie with him.

He had kept all the food in his room where three vats of ice were kept. It was to make sure that the food wouldn’t turn bad and Ye Liu also moved his own ice vats, so the room was now nice and cold.

Yu Sa looked at Chen Mi who was walking away without standing and serving her family. She wanted these rs to stand while they all sat and serve them silently, only then would she be able to assert her dominance as the elder of the family. But neither Chen Mi nor Old Madam Yu paid any attention to her.

In the end, Yu Sa could not help but clear her throat as she remarked in an offhand voice, "You seem to have given a lot of freedom to your grandson-in-law, Hongi." Yu Sa then turned to look at her sons-in-law and grandsons-in-law before stating in a proud voice, "My family rs don’t even sit down unless the won ask them to and serve us politely."

Old Madam Yu smiled at Yu Sa. She arched a brow and stated, "That’s great. But my Dong Dong loves her husbands very much. She doesn’t like it if they are forced to do sothing that they don’t like. Not to ntion we have workers who are willing to serve our family, there is no need for my grandsons in law to suffer."

Old Madam Yu deliberately put up a strong front because she knew the more she gave into her elder sister’s whims the more the latter would act up.

Yu Sa smiled at Old Madam Yu before lowering her head. An envious look flashed in her eyes followed by an angry curse that she muttered under her breath. Even though Old Madam Yu did not say anything outright, it was enough for Yu Sa to understand that Old Madam Yu was looking down on her for having no servant.

Yu Sa wanted to show off to Old Madam Yu that she was well respected in her family but ended up eating the bitter lon. She gritted her teeth and then turned her attention to the at placed on the table.

Under Old Madam Yu’s command, Chen Mi only prepared one at dish and one egg dish followed by a simple eggplant dish. Though it was really simple compared to what they usually ate, in the eyes of Yu Sa and her family who only got to eat at once a month, this al was heavenly.

They did not put down their chopsticks until even the dregs of at were cleaned from the plate.

If not for the fact that it was too shaful to lick the sauce off the plate the young granddaughters of Yu Sa would have done that too, even the fried eggplants were eaten until nothing but oil was left on the dish.

Yu Sa burped and turned to look at Old Madam Yu before saying, "You are really fortunate, Hongi. You can eat like this every day, unlike …alas…" she sighed full of grievance.

However, Old Madam Yu simply smiled and nodded. "This is all thanks to my granddaughter being filial. Sooner or later, you will also enjoy this wonderful life. After all, you have three granddaughters."

Not once did she ask Yu Sa to linger behind causing the elderly woman to purse her lips. She was angry and upset but Yu Sa did not dare to lose her temper. She only laughed lightly and agreed with Old Madam Yu before saying, "Hongi if you don’t mind, can you ask that r to add another at dish? It’s not for , it’s for my grandchildren... look at them how skinny and malnourished they are."

As she spoke she looked at the three granddaughters and five r grandsons.

Old Madam Yu arched a brow and then stated coldly, "The weather is like this already, it’s good enough that we can eat a al every day. How do you expect

to add another at dish? Do you wish

to take out my own savings?"

"What do you an by savings?" Yu Sa thought that Old Madam Yu was deliberately picking fault with her. She said to Old Madam Yu, "Aren’t you just being miserly with ?"

"No. I am being honest, those who do not work, will not get anything to eat in this house."
