Murong Si spoke from the entrance of the greenhouse. His voice was polite and he sounded rather calm as he called for Yu Dong, who turned and looked at the r standing at the gate of the greenhouse. Continue your adventure at empire
Yu Dong smiled at the r and then invited him inside, "Oh isn’t this my new brother-in-law? What a grand favour, you ca to see
instead of Ah Tong?"
Murong Si was slightly surprised when he saw that Yu Dong had recognised him. He was thinking of introducing himself but it seed like there was no need to do so as Yu Dong already knew who he was.
"Madam Yu, you actually recognized ?" He questioned as he stepped inside the greenhouse.
"Why wouldn’t I?" Yu Dong answered with a smile on her lips. She walked over to the wooden table that she had placed inside the greenhouse for Shen Li to take a rest when he was tired and sat down on the chair. Behind her, Shen Li took a few more glances at Murong Si.
He had to admit that Murong Si indeed looked better than Lin Hanjing as for whether or not he was as good as the latter, that needed to be seen.
He followed his wife and sat down, nursing his toes inside his shoes as he curled them and then uncurled. After reaching the last month of his pregnancy, Shen Li was getting more and more trouble while moving. Doctor Gu and Yu Dong told him that it was because he was carrying twins it was much more difficult for him. As he was heavier than the rest.
They even asked Shen Li to relax but ——
Shen Li wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong with his children at the ti of birth, thus even though it took great effort for him to move, he continued to do so. As he knew how difficult it was to give birth to a child much less two.
Murong Si walked over to the table where Yu Dong was sitting and glanced at the r, who sat next to Yu Dong. Tall, masculine and not an ounce of feminine charm, if not for the big belly that he was caressing Murong Si would have thought that this r was a man.
And yet, he was treated so well by Yu Dong. As Murong Si watched Yu Dong pour water for Shen Li and place it in front of him, as if this was sothing that she did every day, Murong Si couldn’t help but be jealous of Shen Li.
In his house, he was the most good-looking r and yet his mother and sisters wanted him to serve them all day long, they wouldn’t even pick up their dirty dishes much less do sothing like serving him. Even if the world was coming to an end, Murong Si did not believe that his mother or sisters would do sothing like this.
"It was just a bit surprising, as we have never t before," Murong Si spoke with a polite tone. He glanced at Shen Li only lightly before moving his gaze away. He was aware of the rumours that said Yu Dong was rather protective of her rs, he did not want Yu Dong to think that he was thinking about anything to harm her pregnant r.
"We might have never t one another before but I have heard a lot about you," Yu Dong turned to look at Murong Si after she was done taking care of Shen Li. She took a good look at the r who was neither servile nor arrogant in front of her and had a good impression of him. Looks like Murong Si was a smart r but he knew his limits.
Yu Tong seed to have struck a jackpot when she was not paying attention. As both Yu Tong and Lin Hanjing were as witty as sixteen-year-old teenagers, this r would be like an anchor who would secure the second household of the Yu family.
"And my sister told
about you a little," Yu Dong was lying of course, Murong Si had the sa incense scent on his clothes as Murong Tai and Old Madam Murong. He didn’t look the sa as the two which may be why no one took him as a mber of the Murong family.
Was it because he looked like his father?
Murong Si blinked his eyes and bowed his head a little before apologizing, "I would like to apologize for that incident. I had no choice, it seed like Second Madam Yu was thinking of hiding this engagent till the end and … if that happened, then it would have been a disaster for ."
Even though Yu Tong would have arrived at his house to pick him up under the pressure of society and her own mother, she would have blad him all along. With him relaying this information about their engagent to Yu Tong, Murong Si seed to have protected his interests at the least.
Now even if Yu Tong wanted to bla soone, it had to be soone else rather than him.
"No, it’s alright," Yu Dong waved her hand. She leaned on her chair and then questioned Murong Si, "I doubt that you are here to just apologize to . So what is the reason, Master Murong? Why did you think of suddenly visiting
all of a sudden."
Shen Li also turned to look at Murong Si. He too believed that Murong Si was not here to just talk to the two of them and apologize for what happened because sothing was off about the stance Murong Si had. He was neither overbearing nor he was servile. He wasn’t even trying to get close to the two of them.
If anything he looked like he was here to discuss business with the two of them!
Murong Si heaved a sigh and confessed, "I am not the biological son of my mother."
